Why is a death of a wrestler always an opportunity for has beens to get free
pub? First Brian Lawler, now this. Maybe they can find Jimmy Hart and ask
him to say his piece on this. Or maybe Buff Bagwell can stop servicing rich
old ladies... or dudes... in Atlanta long enough to make a news bite for the
Atlanta Journal Constitution. CNBC can get Brutus the Barber to say his
piece and tell us not to do drugs.
Well, Luger also has a very rough experience with tragedy out of the
ring. The aforementioned death of Miss Elizabeth. I don't know how
he's gotten on since then, I would guess (hope) that Sting and some
others have helped him out emotionally.
That would be why he was referred to as a "murdering piece of $#!+".
I'd LOVE to see Bagwell comment on Benoit!
Michael
Look - if people are referring to Lex as a muderer - get the facts
straight. He may have contributed to the lifestyle that led to
Elizabeth's death but she overdosed - bottom line. He has taken
responsibility for all his actions.
As far as Benoit. It seems more and more as the story unfolds that he
may have been prescribed a drug that interacted with the roids and
caused some emotional problems. I won't defend someone who murders,
but if that doctor prescribed conflicting medication, then he is the
real murderer. - If not, then we will see what the toxicology
reports say.
Lex Luger totally found God. After the burn-out, of course.

Why didn't his buddy Sting try to convert him? Seems odd that a
prison chaplin would have to be the one to make Luger see god
instead of Sting.

Yeah, I'm suspecting Brett's not seen Chris in a number of years before
the Nancy Grace interview. I mean, I could be wrong, it's not like I
ever hang out with wrestlers or anything but something tells me that
most people are co-workers for the most part. They aren't grilling
together or shit like that. Maybe some are, like I said, I'll never know
either way but I believe for the most part, they show up, do their jobs,
are generally agreeable to the other co-workers and then it's time to go
home. Nobody really knows what the hell went on with Benoit. Nobody
really gave a shit about Luger after he got pinched for the 'roids and
other pharmacuticals after Elizabeth died. Lex Luger is one fucked-up
little puppy. Whatever he did, he's burnt up. Dude can't even say his
own name anymore without 1) Having it sound like he's got a 70 IQ and 2)
Praising Jesus. He's found Jesus, leader of the burn-outs and fuckups.
Only 2 people find Jesus late in life. 1) They're teetering on the edge
and really, really, really want God to save them. 2) They've royally
fucked up their lives and noone gives a shit about them anymore.
For future reference, I'll probably be #2. I'm retarded like that. But I
digress. Back to ranting about Lex Luger. Oh, and I forgot the
"entertainment Jesus" clause, where you find Jesus because your 15
minutes are waaaay up and you really, really miss the limelight.
I think Lex falls into #2. He's gone. Lex Luger go bye-bye now. Everyone
turned their backs to him and I think the only person who gave shit one
about Lex WAS that prison preacher. Which is cool enough. Shit, if I'd
have known he needed a pen pal, I'd have gotten off my ass to write to
him. It's Lex Luger man, that dude was badass. He was in that last great
generation of wrestlers with Arn, Tully, Ric, Sting, etc. There's nobody
great like that now, not even the shells of the very heroes they drag
out now. Lex was great. He deserves the listing with Arn, Tully, Ric,
Sting, etc... He was exciting and we all marked for him. I could've sat
in the comfy chair and banged out a letter to him. But Lex found a clean
slate. Sort of. At least people talk to him again now. He's changed.
He's found God. Hey, if it brings him real peace, so be it. I'm not one
to be harshing people's bliss or anything but I called this story the
second I saw it and I'm not wrong. He found God because of a horrific
life turn where someone died. He's not cutting promos or doing booking
anytime soon. He's not grilling in Canada with Bret, or being trotted
out on some bush league wrestling circuit, he's chillin' in the small
town fitness trainer life. Rawr. He's done. The pure shock on McMahon's
face told me all I needed to know. Nobody knew Benoit well enough to
read that something was really, really, wrong and nobody knew him well
enough to get him to open up and talk about what was wrong.
Co-worker. Go to the office, do your shit, hang out & be jolly, gone.
