I agree, Kevin Kelly was a great announcer! He and Jim Ross should be
pared up with Mr. Perfect or Jerry Lawler. That would be a great team.
Kelly and Ross were actually calling the moves by their names, and not
"WHAT A MOVE!!!". I like the Action Zone's new look, though it's just
Superstars all over again!

Kevin Kelly was a great announcer. WWF should use him and Ross more often.
Of course, RSPW has been saying this for years now... noone listens..

The Horowitz/Portau match was one of the better in recent history, as far
as a technical match. It was a nice change of pace at least. I hope Alex
can adapt a few pro-wrestling moves in keeping with his ametur style.

Never send an IYH to do a real PPV's job. THough most of them have some
nice action, they have about one resolved mid-card feud, and alot of
heatbuilding. Hopefully, the Gunns/Donnas match will be the end of cloudy.
THe Mankind/Jake match has run-in written all over it. Either by Lawler,
the Undertaker, or both. The Bradshaw/Savio match could be interesting,
cuz it's treated exactly like what it is... a Midcard feud. Unfortunitely,
Savio's feuds, atleast the immediate feuds seem to be thrown together as
an afterthought. He has proven to have the ability to wrestle a great
match, he got a great push, and was involved in what started out as a feud
that was quickly slapped together<Steve Austin> But.. anyway, I got off
topic. I'm suprised they won't put titles on the line, The non-title tag
match... one question... why?

Hello everyone...

Just a note about what the WWF has been doing lately.
Kevin Kelly is quite cool. He's human, not "a superstar" and is a nice
change from Vince for play-by-play. During the Body Donna's match to
start the new look Action Zone, Kelly called Skip's finisher a
"hurricarana." This is the first time I popped over a commentator since
Jim Ross appeared.

Alex Portau - spelling might be off - reminds me of an Ultimate

Fighter... didn't he once do that?? At any rate, he comes down to
ringside to the old Steiner Brothers music, and wrestles a Bob Backlund
match. Softer even -- all tech, no clotheslines or anything in the air.
Unique, at any rate. One Irish whip for the entire match -- which went
into his finisher (abdominal stretch into guillitine 3/4 nelson pin.)

Oh wow - International Incident seems VERY weak. 6 man, even with Sid,

seems dumb. Either way, Vader comes out on top (as he's got title
matches on the Attitude Adjustment tour after next week) which will be
cool. Maybe. But Goldust/Undertaker? Mandkind/Jake? Non-title
Gunns/Donnas? Savio/Bradshaw? Oh man, help help.

Basically, there will be __NO__ titles on the line. What's to get
excited about? Maybe Owen will enziguri Shawn again...

YES!!! Personally, I have enjoyed Kelly's work in several of the
Florida shows he has done, and I will miss his work next time I visit
my Grandmother's condo.

Personally, I can't WAIT until he takes over WWF Superstars.

Ditto. Kelly is probably a great way for the WWF to start bringing in
new announcing "blood", if you will. About 16 Months ago, Steve
Beverly spoke of announcers needing a place to "grow" and about how
weak announcers were today mainly pushing the events to come and the
Pay-Per-Views and not concentrating on the MATCH. Kelly is a nice
change, speaking ONLY about some of the stuff set up when the action
slows down into a rest hold or something. The WWF will most likely do
the same Kelly/Ross dub over for Mania, which will give me a REASON to
watch the show :-)

It is... A-L-E-X P-O-R-T-E-A-U....

Porteau is definatelyt a great athelete and I enjoyed his match with
Horowitz, which (personally) is a nice change from constant high
spots. If McMahon can manage to USE Porteau correctly, and Porteau can
manage to use some "Higher Impact" Moves, I have a funny feeling he
could be a top star in the future. I (personally) like the amateur
style matches, and hope to see Porteau pushed fairly well.

> Oh wow - International Incident seems VERY weak.

I have been saying that for WEEKS!!! If I didn't split the price of
PPV's with my friend, I wouldn't be purchasing it next week. I have a
post (see later on) on how the WWF could MAKE IYH9 the best PPV in a
while, despite the weak card.

Exactly. If they can do these matches to BUILD up the heels, it would
be great, but you WON'T see the heels beat the faces in most
encounters. Mankind will likely be screwed over with a Lawler run-in.
Goldust will probably get a win after Bearer hit's the 'Taker with the
urn (NO way to build up a heel, IMHO). Bradshaw will probably be
screwed over in his match with Vega (AGAIN!!), and the ONLY heel I can
DEFINATELY see with a victory is Austin, but yet again I see a Goldust
run in SOMEWHERE amongst the match....

BASICALLY?!?!!? BASICALLY?!?!?! THERE _ARE_ NO TITLES ON THE LINE!!!
(sorry for screaming)... how many fans are excited to see the
champions in a six man tag or a NON-title Match? Save the NON-title
matches for Superstars and (if they actually had original matches) the
Action Zone & Mania, maybe even RAW...
