"BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! BROCK LESNAR!!!!!" - Brock Lesnar
BROCK (BRAWK):
(1) Noun. The next big thing: BROCK is the WWE Undisputed champion.
(2) Verb. To yell "BLAAAA!!! BROCK LESNAR!!!" while doing a forward
flex, holding the flex position, contorting one's face and sticking
out their tongue: We BROCKed our bar; I love BROCKing people.

Hey, I am originally from NYC, moved to Las Vegas earlier this year.
So I am both from and in LV as of now. I was Hitman NY on this board,
then HitmanLV when I moved to Vegas, and just changed the
configuration on Agent to spell it all out as "Hitman of Las Vegas."

I haven't yet, but I really do want to go to one. I'm thinking of
going to RAW over at UNLV next month, too, as on occasion I used to do
that when they showed up at MSG. I also want to see some Ultimate
Fighting here - I was at the Buffalo UFC way back when - 1994 or so?
UFC 5 or 7, I forget. Now that was a fun night!

Quite a while. My first post on RSPW using my "Hitman" name -
"HitmanNY" in particular, was way back on Nov 13th, 1999.
Here it is:

You are 100% correct, but man o man, what a pituful sentiment.
Jericho is right when he says (in character) that the WWF needs
saving. The fact that fans have to really wonder and hope ever so
hard that he would get a clean win in this situtaion is clear proof
that some wrestling standards have fallen to extrordinary lows.

Friends,
I picked up a copy of "Age of the Gods" probably last November or so
in New York. At the time i read it and was really shocked at how
complete it was (up until 1984 that is) and in my book stands as the
only real complete resource of the film genre. While there are other
picture books, articles, etc. on the matter, this book in many
respects packs it all in through it tells a chronology of the industry
and details of all major (and several minor) films in the genre.
It would almost be an encyclopedia of the genre, if a badly needed
index was included. As it stands, unless you read it straight though,
finding films is a form of "dead reckoning" that takes up too much
time. That being said, when you do find it, its rich in detail. Nice
job.
Now at August GCon NY I purchased a copy for a friend of mine in
California, who is a huge fan. That inspired me to go back and check
out my own copy of the book again.
Is it me, or is this a REALLY obnoxious book....almost to the point of
laughing out loud. If I see one more caption "The author and ..." -
its more like a picture gallery from his trip to Japan to interview
these personalities. That's far from professional i suppose. Also,
in rereading portions of the text, I cant shake the feeling that our
writer is quite full of himself and his mastery of an otherwise
obscure and arcane area of the film industry.
Any other insights? the obnoxiousness really came out during a second
reading of the book. It really keeps it from having a professional
feel.
Its sad, cause it remains a serious blemish that mars the book. That
being said, its a great resource, but i get the feeling i would't want
to have more than a five minute chat with the author, lest i get my
ear talked off.

That makes two Las Vegas wrestling and Godzilla fans here. Now I'm scared.

I caught WWF Challenge yesterday (WWF Cavalcade Wrestling in Canada) and
I saw the debut of Hakushi. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was
VERY impressed.
