Here's a question to all the "smarks" and "insiders" here on RSPW,

If Hogan were heel, would you have a new respect for him?
Would you be more willing to watch a Hogan Match??

Intrested in the response by RSPW.

Very good question. I think I *might* have a *little* respect for
him. Since I'm mainly a heel fan, it's like asking if Bill Laimbeer
was traded to the Bulls. Of course the Bulls fans will welcome him.
And vice versa. If Michael Jordan was traded to the Pistons, of
course they'd welcome him (not me, I'm a true Pistons fan, and I
LOATHE Airless Jordan). But anyways...

...I *might* have *some* respect for him...

...yeah right!!!

There's nothing that Hogan can do to gain my respect, unless he
retired. Period.

If Hogan were a heel? Let's see- a heel does the following:

Abuses officials when things don't go their way.

Cheats (hair pulls, eye gouges, closed fists, etc.)

Whine when they lose.

Know what? I guess he already is a heel.

If Hogan was a heel and it was done well I could see myself respecting
Hogan. A Hogan heel turn is so overdue and I think he would be
remarkable at it.

No, the fact of the matter is still that he is a two move person.
(Big Ol' Boot, Big Ol' Leg) If he starts to job some, and he develops
some wrestling skills, then maybe. I don' think I have to worry about
that though.

what's the point of asking this question? Hogan will never ever become a
heel....it's concievably possible, but that would be financial suicide to
WCW ......they would have lost most if not all of the mark market

Agreed. What people seem to forget is that Hogan was pretty good as a
bad-ass heel in the late 70s- early 80s. He had the charisma even back
then, and he was more amenable to actually "working" in a match.

The key to him turning, however, would be his admitting that maybe he isn't
as popular as he used to be, and deciding that maybe now would be the right
time for a turn. IMHO Hogan will job clean before he turns heel- and
honey, neither of these things are ever going to happen. =/

He would be a great heel and I'm not talking about the same old goof
dressed in black from a couple of months ago. One of the first matches I
remember seeing is a heel Hogan loading up his armpad and clotheslining
Andre The Giant, bloodying him. Of course I was young so I marked out and
even though he was a heel he became one of my favorite wrestlers. That is
until he turned face in the AWA. Geez I can't believe I was ever a Hogan
fan. SCARY!

If he were heel, that would mean that he'd have to lose once in a while,
which would never happen. Hogan is just plain bad P.E.R.I.O.D!! He
can't wrestle. He has great charisma and that's what made him. Don't
you think that the heat he gets make him a heel??? :)

Not really, remembering that I didn't care too much for ol'
Mushroom-Cloud-Chest-Hair back in the late seventies when he arrived for
the first time in the WWWF as a heel managed by Blassie. For further
details, please refer to my occasionally-posted article "Why I give
thumbs down to Hogan", which you can retrieve through DeJa News or
AltaVista, I guess. I'll post it again in two or three months as my
periodic reminder to the world that there *are* legitimate reasons why
Hogan sucks.

That depends...The problem I have with Hogan has nothing
to do with his face/heel status, but rather his apparent
unwillingness to put over his opponents and his refusal to
sell their moves. If he started doing this as a face or heel,
I'd have more respect for him.

I've never understood why wrestlers think they need to be
invinsible. It won't hurt their reputation to lose from
time to time. If Hogan lets the Giant destroy him a couple
times and even cleanly pin him in a match or two, Hogan
would be much more over when he finally pins him...

That being said, I think a Hogan heel angle would work great
if Hogan played the part of a delusional wrestler who was
so convinced he was everyone's heroes, but everyone booed
him. (I know this is what many RSPWers think is already
happening.)

But Hogan's ego would never allow it to happen, yet people on RSPW still
bring up this tired old thread as if it really might happen.
