A solution!

objective opinion on what I think could possibly happen the next little while,
but here goes!
Hogan won't get the title stripped away from him. That happened with
his last title reign. My wish is for him to get beat up as never before
and have to forfeit the title shortly before the King of the Ring. Let
Hogan hold it for a month or two. Let him defend every other weekend
(if that). Then let him defend against someone on TV weeks prior to
the KOTR tourney. Let's make it a cage match against, say, DiBiase
(wouldn't want to give us a REAL big match on TV). All of a sudden, let
the Clowns, Gonzales, Luger, Yokozuna, Barry Horowitz, and whoever else
that wanted in on it charge out. Put Gonzales and maybe two others in
the aisle to block the officials and faces. Have someone put a padlock
on the cage door so when the faces start climbing the ring, they can be
easily kicked off.
Okay. I'm calm now. Point is, Hogan is undoubtedly hurt too bad to
wrestle. Title becomes KOTR prize. Let's seed Bret vs Yoko to end up
as the final and let's have Bret win all 4 of his matches that night with
the Sharpshooter. Bret as a two time champ would definately put him over
much better than before.
Meanwhile, Hogan heals and is back for Summerslam. Have him vow to
systematically defeat one by one every man who helped put him out of
action, ending with Yokozuna in WM10 as his retirement match.
I don't see how they can even let Hogan fight in the King of the Ring
tourney as WWF World champ. What is the fun of knowing Hogan will win
it before you buy it? Somehow, they need him out of the way for awhile
(to shoot his series), and a one man attack from a large wrestler didn't
do it before (Earthquake), so let's have a free for all on Hogan.
I'll probably look back on this later and think how stupid it sounds. :-)
