Until the world title match, WMIX had been mildly enjoyable. Not
worthy of a second look, but watchable. Doink won, Shawn won, and
much to my dismay (but I'm sure everyone on the net loved it), Razor
won. Then Hogan was interviewed, and concentrated on a future match
between himself and Bret Hart. I salivated over how great it would be
to see Hogan, the egotistical, talentless, washed-up bum that he is,
locked in the Sharpshooter begging for mercy. But it was not to be.
As soon as Fuji threw salt in the eyes of the most misused WWF
Champion of all time, I knew Hogan was a lock for the belt. I never
dreamed, however, that both Bret Hart and Yokozuna, the two men
supposedly in the main event of the greatest sports entertainment
spectacular of all time (tm), would be buried in such a degrading and
humiliating manner. Yokozuna, the WWF Champion, was made to seem like
putty in the hands of the Immortal One (tm), and Bret Hart, having
been mauled by that ball of putty, seems no more useful than jello.
Of course, Hulk Hogan will not be stripped of the title this time. Of
course, he will eventually fight Bret Hart. It may be at SummerSlam.
It may be at WrestleMania X. But it won't be the same. It won't be a
man who held on to the belt for almost 2 years against a hungry, cagey
veteran, like it should have been. It will be subtle heel vs.
MegaFace. And Bret Hart will win the WWF Title for the second time.
And to ensure that he never, ever gets over, Hogan will be right there
posing with him. To the bitter end.
I mourn the passing of the greatest WWF Champion of all time. I mourn
the death of the career of Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Join with me in a
moment of silence.
Down with Pat Patterson.
Down with Vince McMahon.
Down with Hulk Hogan.
Let them all burn in eternal hell for what they have done.
Rockin' Rick Silver
Only my opinion matters...
Mourn nothing. When the Hitman proves that Hogan is nothing more than a
bloated sack of protoplasm, he will continue to be the best there is, the
best ther ever was, and the best there ever will be.
