This past Saturday night, the ACW held a card in the Johnsonburg, PA High
School and Casino (just kidding about the casino). Anyway, we in attendence
knew we were in for a rough night when the show was supposed to start at
8pm and the ring didn't get there until around 9 or so. They started to put
the ring together and it was HIGH!!! Those of us in the front row looked
forward to straining our necks to see mat action. The next neat thing that
happened was when one of the ring constructors was testing the ropes,
one of the steel rings that holds the ropes to the posts broked and he tumbled
backwards down three feet or more, right on the back of his neck. He was hurt
REAL bad and was life flighted to Pittsburgh. SO that was ANOTHER delay. Anyway
it was soon time to begin the matches.
By the way, we (me, my sister, and her husband) were given press passes to come
and go as we pleased ( I got some great video of stuff).

1. The "American Patriot" T.C. Reynolds vs Tommy Justice
First off, the Patriot looks like a goober. Justice did the arrogant act
and got the hayseeds riled up. Not too bad a match. Thankfully was over
quick. Patriot gets the pinfall.

2. ACW Lt.Hwt. Title Match
Champion:Lord Zoltan vs Johnny Graham
It was during this match that another problem arose. The spring under the
ring (hey, I'm a poet and don't even realize the fact) began to bend and
bend downward. Also the ringposts were starting to warp and angle in
whatever way the stars bounced into the ropes. The ring SUCKED!!!!
Anyway, Zoltan came out with his valet, Black Widow, who had a nice
chest (yes, female). He had makeup that made him resemble Muta. He was
also very King Diamond looking. Anyway, Widow threw powder in Graham's
face and Zoltan got the pin.

3. The Drifters vs The Bad Crew
At this point, the guys who set up the ring told the wrestlers, and I quote,
"Stay outta the ring!" Which, in this case, was good because these guys
went outside the ring and BRAWLED!!! Chairs were smashed, the announcers
table was wrecked, people were running everywhere. The Bad Crew are sorta
Nasty Boys imitators, right down to their names "spray-painted" on their
T-Shirts. The Drifters are sorta biker looking dudes who nobody guessed
were faces, until they started smooching up to the crowd. Anyway, the
teams were both counted out.

4. ACW Title Match
Champion:Rip Sawyer vs The Giant T. Rantula
The ref misannounced this to start out with. He announced that Max
Thrasher was coming out. (wrong). T. Rantula is also managed by Black
Widow. The champion, Sawyer, was wearing Luger's United States Title
belt. I zoomed up on it and lo and behold, thats just what the belt was.
Again, the action was mainly outside the ring. OOOPS....this was the
match were she threw powder in the other's face. Result, the NEEEEWWWWWW
ACW Champion, the Giant T. Rantula!!!

5. Virgil vs Max Thrasher
Virgil came out to "Whomp, There It Is!", but the hicks didn't respond like
at big house shows. Some did, but it wasn't unanimous. Once again, the
action was all outside because of the shoddy ring. Result, the usual,
double countout. Virgil with a good suplex on the concrete. Thats about it.

6. Glenn Osborne vs Lucifuge
Both had painted faces. Lucifuge was actually a gospel type guy who tried
to do an Ultimate Warrior imitation. (wasn't good) Osborne's manager was
"Dirty Deeds" Darin Wyse. He tried to get the crowd riled up, but to no
avail. Do I need to tell you the result or have you caught on to the
pattern? After the match they brawled in the back and BOTH guys beat the
crap outta the manager. Oh well, at least some comic relief.

7. MAIN EVENT: Doink The Clown(Keirn) and Van Hammer vs King Kong Bundy and
Damien Demento
It was great to see Bundy again, he HAS last weight but not that much.
We did an interview with him before the show started and he is the funniest
guy you'd ever want to meet. I was getting my picture taken with him and
had a straight face until he leaned over and said, "Can you fix me up with
your sister?" SNAP. Thanks, Gretchen. I hate getting pictures taken with
me laughing. Oh well, on to the match.
Some pretty good brawling. The wrestlers broke up in pairs on each side of
the ring, and I was on the side with Bundy fighting Van Hammer, so I didn't
get much video of Doink. Bundy can still work the crowd, by the way. But
the crowd still gave him the best ovation of the night. Demento wore a
mask, but it was him. No great loss. Van Hammer's jacket was falling apart
and laid in pieces after the match. Once again, DOUBLE DQ, COUNTOUT.

AFTERMATH.........
While there was a break, the ring guys brought sledges out to try
straightening the ringposts. The posts were attached to big steel grids
on the bottom, which, when hit, dug DEEPLY into the basketball court.
I think I can safely say that someone, most likely the ring guys, are
in the process of being sued(sp?). Lotsa damage that night. A stretcher
job before the card even began. Pretty cool night. Plus I became friends
with the promoter, who is going to be sending me a copy of the November
card with Funk vs Sabu!!!!!!! I can't wait to see it! The next card is
Cocolamus, PA on April 22, with Funk as a referee, and Hacksaw Jim
Duggan and Doink again. Oh well, thats all.
