Notice the PPV ended kinda of quick and they never went back to the
ring. I just can't picture this being an angle. It could be but Why? So
Bret could go on Raw tommorow and pull a fake shoot on Mcmahon and say
he was screwed by the WWF and say he is tired of the WWF? *yawn* To Help
Raw's Ratings? What if they still lose and ratings are *lower* than
last weeks ratings? After hearing Bret on Off The Record and After what
I saw tonight, I don't think this is an angle. If I'm not mistaken, this
same thing happened with Bob Backlund a longtime ago and that was real.
Bret is a true professional wrestler like arn anderson, ric flair. If vince
asked him to job, I think he would.

Did you also notice how fast the referee ran from the ring after calling
for the bell? My guess: Bret and Shawn couldn't agree on a proper ending, so
Vince told different endings to both of them, then surprised both by cutting
the match short before they could get to their endings. Shawn was especially
pissed for someone who just won the World Title. I wonder if Vince asked
Shawn to shoot, then had the ref end the match before Shawn could get to the
shoot.
Actually, I think Shawn wanted to humiliate Bret, word got out to Vince,
and he fixed it so Shawn wouldn't get the chance. Whatever was up, Vince was
busy last night. Much too busy to commentate. I definitely don't think Shawn
and Bret were able to agree on a suitable ending.

Two things, WWF PPVs usually end at around the time...they rarely go
directly to 10pm so the quick ending wasnt really quick. Secondly, there
is a big difference between wrestling then and now. Wrestling was that big
then, there was no ppv, there was no big tv shows, just the local stuff.
And more importantly there is a big difference between Bret Hart and Bob
Backlund. Vince would be ccommitting suicide if he tried this..he would
Hart such ammo if he jumped to WCW that it wouldnt be funny.

Actually, you're very mistaken.I don't know how this stupid story got
spread, but Backlund dropping the strap to Vasiri wasn't a "shoot".What DID
happen was that Vince moved Backlund out of the (storyline)program and
brought Hogan in,relegating his former "star"player to the background. And
Vince WAS right,he never could have marketed Backlund to the masses like he
did Hogan.
Let's see.. he jobbed to Sid, to the UT at many house shows, and to the
Patriot on live tv.

Yea they do usually end at that time but on DirecTV
they start the next show at 10. For SS that had the
replay at 10:30. Almost an hour of time between live
and replay. Also both Bret and HBK were pissed.
Hart is going to WCW and I would love to see HBK
follow right behind and screw Vince big Mac real good.

Bob Backlund himself did tell one of the Mutants of Boston (remember
them?) that he didn't know that the title was to change that night.
That's why he wasn't too fond of VinMan for all those years...till he
needed the money.

True 'nuff, but I feel that there's more than enough evidence that the
83 title switch was a shoot (or should that be blind eye finish?)

I don't think Bret has jobbed cleanly since Wrestlemania X.

Bret never lost cleanly to Austin on a PPV.

Bret has done a fair number of jobs.
WM X was 1994, right? Chist... he has done jobs since then on a number
of occasions.
