Since Nitro ran unopposed, you'd think they'd do away with the brainless
angles and do something intelligent. Well, unfortunately,
I'm only half-right.
Roddy Piper returns and they stick the US belt on him. Match wasn't as good
as the IC match he had with Bret at Wrestlemania 8 in 1992.
For those of you wondering about the angle with Bret & Will Sasso of "Mad
TV", this isn't so much that the show is on Fox, but that WB (a sister
company to WCW) produces the series, hence the cross-promotion angle. Sasso
is too fat to be Jesse Ventura, and too stupid to ever be in an angle, but
he's now WCW's answer to Butterbean, unless Mr. Esch decides to give up on
Vinnie Macaroni ever using him again and head south.
Major mad props going out to Scott "Not so lazy" Levy, who's finally woken
up to the fact that grunge is dead, or pretty damn close to it. Exit Raven,
reenter
Scotty Flamingo (remember the boxing angle with DDP & Kevin "Vinnie Vegas"
Nash as his seconds against Johnny B. Badd back in '91 or '92?). Thank you
for walking back
to reality.
Meanwhile, let's give DDP & Scott Steiner a reality check. The angle with
Kim has gone over the line and should give Androman (Steiner) a reminder of
what happened to his sidekick
Fluffy Bagwell last spring. If Bischoff & Turner aren't careful, NOW will be
e-mailing them soon, protesting, followed by Don Wildmon and the American
Family Association from the Town That
Spawned Elvis (Tupelo, Ms.). END IT NOW, GUYS, WITHOUT TURNING KIM NWO!!
Looks like we may be rooting for Hennig & Windham in the finals of the tag
tournament, as I've a feeling that unless the Horsemen or Faces of Fear
rally, there'll be a rematch with Horace Horsecollar (Hogan, that is)
& Brian Adams in the finals. Huckster's trying to play the B&W unit against
each other, but the feeling here is that he's willing to keep Horace around
(nepotism and all that) at the expense of the others.
And how about Torrie Wilson? Shoot, I didn't know her name until I checked
in here an hour ago, but she has legs to die for. Don't know about you, but
if she were up here in the Northeast, I'd be willing to hire her as my
personal trainer (didn't see the whole Nitro, didn't bother taping the
replay 'cause I didn't need it), long as I can give her a massage after
she's done with me. Pretty face, shapely legs, twice as hot as most of the
Nitro Girls and 100 times hotter than
Patrick Brown's girlfriend Ms. Elizabeth. Thank you very much.
People say the "blinding" of Mongo opens the door for Goldberg to join the
Horsemen. Please. Only way that'll work is if they chuck the current
Horsemen entrance theme with the hoofbeats (the old music was better) and
use his. When I heard that
it was going to be Mongo & Flair v. the Outsiders in the main event, I
thought for sure Mongo'd turn like everyone's hoped. Wrong. Will these lazy
jackasses (Hogan, Nash) ever let their egos take a night off and be company
men for once?
