Jake the Snake Live

[Le Metropolitain]

Jake the Snake Roberts will be appearing at Kennedy Road Tabernacle in
Brampton on July 17. I saw a poster for it over at my local shopping
centre with a headline reading, "Now he wrestles for God."

I only live five minutes away from the venue, but I don't know if I
can stand a camp meeting in order to possibly meet Jake the Snake. If
anyone from here thinks they can bear it, drop me a note a perhaps we
can hook up.

I'd rather hang out in the parking lot. I'd not be welcome there anyway...

But I would like to meet Jake, .. I remember the first time I saw him live. It
was at Maple Leaf Gardens, in the early 80's. It's VERY fuzzy now, but I seem
to remember him being a surprise run in on some mega-heal. I think it was a
nasty Pork Chop Cash. When he ran in, we saw this tall, lanky guy going nuts
and I think most of the crowd had no idea who he was until we saw the patented
knee lift. We marked out because we never expected to see him.
