Whether it's a work or not Vince is not a genius by any means. He has
just pushed a lot of people away from the wwf for good. Real smart
If it's a work he's an idiot. If he screwed Bret Hart he has made the
biggest mistake eve in "pro" wrestling.

Vince McMahon has completely baffled the wrestling world with the
"stunt" he pulled at Survivor Series. No one can truly say whether the
Michaels/Hart ending is a work. Personally, I think it's some sort of
work. Vince wants to outsmart the "smarts" and this is a great way to do
it. I've seen a lot of people who dislike the new attitude the WWF has,
but I think it's great. It brings back the days of being a complete
"mark". We can't be 100% sure that everything the WWf is a work or a
shoot. Man, Vince has really put life back into the business as of late.
I'd love to see Eric Bischoff get enough balls to try something as
controversial as we saw on Survivor Series. Is anyone else besides me
expecting Bret to "shoot" tomorrow night on RAW?

After reading the past post I totally agree. Vince has changed with the
times while, for the most part, Bischoff is living in yesterday and off
Vince's past success.

Exactly...I'm disgusted either way. If it's a work, it just proves how
damned desperate he is to go to these lengths to sell his ppv's and
television show. If it was a screwjob, I'll not only be disgusted, but
will have totally lost all respect for a worthless man. Either way, he's
pretty much alienated me.

McMahon is a businessman; sometimes a very good one, and sometimes a very
underhanded one. I have mixed feelings about the whole situation because I
hate to see this happen to Bret, but I can't blame Vince for the actions he
took. He trusted Hall and Nash enough to let their last matches go "as
planned" (hell, Nash's last PPV match against Shawn was probably his best
EVER), but obviously something transpired between Vince and Bret that led him
to believe that Bret might not do a clean job, so he called the finish early.

Bottom line: Bret will get over this, as will his fans, and it will be
forgotten in five months when he starts getting screwjobbed in matches against
the nWo. Vince, on the other hand, is going to suffer without Bret as it is,
and the last thing he needed was an embarrassment on one of his major PPV's.
This was a business decision for Vince, and while it certainly wasn't very
popular, I think in this case it was the right one to make.

Absolutely. I've watched the WWF for 5 years, and after what appears to
have happened last night, I doubt that I'll ever boost McMahon's ratings
again. I'd love to see the rest of the Hart Foundation walk out en
masse, in protest at this disgraceful treatment of a true legend. I
know they're all tied up contractually, but it's not like they need the
money, whilst they wait to join another fed...Vince has a lot to answer
for.

That guy is just about the only asset Vince has left - and who knows if
his neck will heal fully?

Vince McMahon may be a very successful businessman in the professional
wrestling business but he will regret this decision for the rest of his
life. As a matter of fact, he should have seen the first big demontrations
of rejection last night with all those pro-Bret signs and anti-WWF signs,
as well as the "We want Bret!" chants that sounde like "boring!" chants
during interviews and some of the matches.

Yeah, why would he want to appear more obnoxious as Eric Bischoff,
considering the fact that they are rivals?

Bret's leaving. Vince wants the last laugh. It was obviously NOT a
work.

Great? GREAT??? WWF's new attitude is hiring Jeff Jarrett, a decent
guy, to do interviews bashing WCW, while losing one of it's biggest
stars, ie Bret Hart. Yeah, it's great when you trade your stars for
mid-carders who do goofy shootish interviews.

He's put lots of life into WCW's business. He plugs them every chance
he gets, takes one of their guys who wasn't needed in the first place,
and loses Bret Hart. I tell you, Vinnie does more for WCW than he
does for the WWF.

Eric isn't dumb enough to give one of his top stars the royal screw.

Nope.
