Kelle,

I think you may be looking at this the wrong way. If you put KISS after the
main then you take those people that aren't regulars and give them a chance
to see what you can do. Plus it doesn't hurt that they see almost all of
your advertising, giving your sponsors more bang for the buck that they
paid. I agree that WCW doesn't always think that well, but this was a good
solid programming/sales decision. Putting Hogan in the main is another
story, but he would be recognizable to non-wrestling fans more than any
other.

If WCW would 'think' more often, they wouldn't be getting killed every week. Am
I supposed to give a rat's ass about Brian Adams now? That guy's always been a
jabronie, Demon or not. I do have to admit, he did look alot like Gene, if you
subtract about 15 years and add some steroids.

The main event sucked too bad. If that was the first WCW match I saw, I'd
never watch again.

WCW has given up any hopes of beating WWF for the main event with wrestling.
So, they tried something different. Music INSTEAD of the main event. Lots of
hype.

They also kept KISS fans in the dark about when this thing would go down.
So - I would think that some of them had TNT on from 10 on, but weren't even
watching until KISS arrived. That'll help the ratings - maybe -

My guess is that they might actually make a dent in the ratings at 11 this
week. I know I watched KISS. I didn't like the sound of Mankind Vs HHH
anyway. I knew that if HHH won, it would have pissed me off to see it. So, I
switched to KISS, and marked.

-TrailerTrash: Let's see, here's WCW's next main events:

Ozzy
Aerosmith
Eric Clapton

and if that doesn't work

The BACKSTREET BOYS
....
