i've heard a rumor that owen hart's son is very ill.
in case that is true, let's let our wwf vs wcw bickering be put on
hold; so we can wish the little guy "get well soon,eh!"

I can tell you that your sentiments are very much
appreciated by the Hart family. To be completely
accurate, the child concerned is NOT the son of
Owen Hart. The 13-year-old boy of B.J. Annis and
Georgia Hart is the unfortunate one. (B.J. is a
(former wrestler and current owner of the gym in
downtown Calgary, B.J.'s).

The lad was admitted to hospital two Thursdays ago,
suffering from symptoms associated with the virulent,
flesh-eating bacteria.

My most recent conversation with a member of the
Hart family was last Tuesday night. At that time, the
child's condition was listed as critical, but stable.
However, all of his vital organs had pretty well shut
down, and he was on life-support as well as
receiving dialysis treatment.

To say the least, the prognosis is not overly optimistic;
according to the doctors, just the fact that he has
survived to this point is something akin to a medical miracle.

Life is not much fairer than the most obviously-worked
screw-jobs sometimes...

I believe his son is about 4 years old, around the age where he still might
not know that daddy is not really a bad guy in that ring. I have heard
stories about Owen playing with all the kids (not just his own) at hotel
pools and stuff like that, so obviously he does like kids a lot. I hope
his son gets better soon. That would be VERY hard for something to happen
to your only child. I'll keep him in my prayers, and I hope McMahon will
be decent about this whole situation.

Amen to that, I hope he pulls through, but I did read on Matt burnes
Wrestling Confidential that it was very touch and go. All the best to
Owen and his family.

I always hate to hear of a child suffering. Children have only
begun life, and there's time for enough grief once you're grown.

Get well, Little One, and Godspeed.

I certainly hope the poor kid recovers, but I must admit I'm
interested in seeing how Vince handles this situation. If the worst
happens, Vince is going to be in a real bind next week in Vancouver.
I just hope he acts with class, but I'm not holding my breath.

This is just a warning. If I see any "Vader f**ked Owen's nephew" posts,
I am personally going to rip your fucking spine through your mouth. You
know who you are.

It is with sadness that I report the son of B.J. Annis
and Georgia Hart passed on late Sunday night. Matt
Annis was 13 years old.

For those who would care to send sympathy cards to
the family, they can do so at the following address:

Mr. B.J. Annis and Family
c/o B.J.'s Gym
602 - 7th Ave. SE
Calgary, Alberta T2G 0J7

To those who took the time over the past few days
to send me e-mail with your thoughts, observations,
philosophies and well-wishes, I extend my thanks.
They have been relayed to the Hart family, who will
pass them along to B.J. and Georgia.

And yes, I'm following up to my own post. I got the news as of about 6
PM Monday, that Alan has indeed passed away. Hopefully Vince will
mention it on RAW tonight. My condolences to the Hart family.
