That much is true...tomorrow will probably answer alot of
questions...namely the one everyone is shouting now that Vince purposely
did it without Bret knowing. Personally I dont think he did...I am really
leaning towards the "heel" promoter bit where Vince is pulling strings to
get everyone to fight one another. It works and it fits so many comments
from Vince "fans want to see more realistic angles" has said the last
couple of days. We'll see.
Not after spitting at McMoney when the bell rang anyway. I'm sure that this
was a shoot on Bret's part. He was genuinely pissed, and Shawn Michaels,
being shoved back to the locker room by WWF officials, had no idea WTF was
going on.
: Yea.. the showed the spitting on the PPV before cutting to HBK being rushed
: out. Vince wiped it off and took a very hard look at Bret. I believe Bret is
: WCW bound.
It's all a work, Bret's not going anywhere. Once again McMahon is taking
an idea from Bischoff, having the guy who runs the organization turn heel.
Bischoff turns heel, Vince turns heel. Bischoff turns his mega-face
superstar into a heel (Hogan), ratings go up, Vince turns his mega-face
superstar (Bret) into a heel. Bischoff gets Jackknifed, the fans go wild.
Vince gets stunned, the fans go wild. Bischoff gets lightheavyweights, the
fans go wild. Vince gets lightheavyweights and they miss all their moves
(tough luck on that one Vinnie Mac). Vince has been using Jarrett to
badmouth WCW, why would he screw Hart over so much and basically ask Bret
to insult him on every Nitro for the next 5 years? As well as make himself
look bad. That's not good business my friends, even Vince knows that. If
I'm wrong and Bret is leaving, Eric has probably got an ear to ear grin
right now and Vince will have dug his own grave. It's just really
unfortunate that people payed good money and got a screwjob main event.

This is actually one of the more plausible work scenarios out there right
now. For some reason, I think Vince (this time with Bret) have pulled the
wool over everbody's eyes.
