How does it blow the lid off the theory? Sting, Savage and Luger come to
the ring. Nash and Hall come to the ring. Sting takes the mike, chides,
"I don't see any third guy on your team. You all talk, or what?" Wham!
Luger clocks Sting and switches sides.

Elementary booking...

I also think it would have been effective to throw a heel in
there to get over the point that WCW (not just a couple of faces)
was uniting to put down the "invaders". Giant would have worked well.
I actually would like to see him face Nash somewhere down the road;
that'd be a "big man" match that might be fun.

However, this does nothing to eliminate the possibility of Luger
being the third. If anything, it sets up the most effective way
to finally turn him and make him part of the "WWF" team. Think
about it: Hall and Nash come down by themselves, saying they are
so confident they rule the world that they'll face "Team WCW" i
a handicap match. After 15 indecisive minutes, Luger turns on his
partners, and becomes part of the victorious invading team.

If WCW hadn't just done the unexpected-turn-of-a-tag-partner angle
with Mongo, I would actually have said an angle with Luger turning
would be probable, rather than merely possible.

later......

That's what I was trying to tell #wrestling last night! The next main event on Nitro
last week was rumored to be Sting vs. Lex Luger. Mable was gone from the WWF too long
ago to be on the WWF team, so I expect Luger to turn on his friends and join team WWF
before BATB.

You know the Nitro crowd booed so loudly last night when they mentioned
Hogan's name as one of the potential 'Team WCW' members, that I thought maybe
Adolf Hitler had wandered into the arena.

Did anyone else notice that two out of the three men selected on team
wcw had very good careers in the WWF at one time, is this a smart move
on Bishoffs part?

Luger as a "WWF spy" all along!!! Yup ... sounds elementary to me, Watson!!! I can see it now ... Nash and Hall enter
the ring. They announce a surprise for everyone and "Zillionaire Ted" DiBiase comes down as the manager of "Team WWF."
Sting, Luger and Savage come to the ring and question if DiBiase is their "third man." Then, as you said, WHAM ... Luger
clocks Sting AND Savage from behind, proving that he is the third member to "Team WWF." Savage has always told Sting and
(please excuse the name I'm about to mention) Hogan that Luger wasn't to be trusted. Works for me!!

No. Besides that, the three members chosen were predictable. I mean, they should
of put a heel on the team. WCW screws up a good angle, again.

Then of course, we'll see the WCWers shorthanded and who will
come down... *queue "Real American"* Out comes the Huckster to
be WCW #3...

Just my theory...

I have to agree with the LexLugar "Fans". He will be the 3rd team member with Razor Ramon and Daddy Cool
(Nash & Hall). But this is not a takeover attemp by the WWF!!! It is a take over attemp by Bobby The Brain
Heenan. He tried something simular with Sonny Ono and the Japanese wrestlers.
Does anybody remember those matches that Lugar missed against the giant? Only to show up at the last moment
(too late). On the second occassion he had a now familiar briefcase with him (he hit the giant with it). It
seems that Steve "Mongo" McMichael had a simular briefcase delivered to him (full of money) at TGAB. My
guess is Lugar missed those matches because he was finalizing hi part in the "take over" attemp. Now I'm
just trying to figure out if Lugar wll go through with it or back out (at the last possible second) on the
grounds that, what happened to Bishoff wasn't part of the deal!!??? If he does go through with it, who will
run out to defend the WCW's honor and be the 3rd man, Rick Flair??
In any event Ramon and Diesel will remain with the WCW after the Bash at the Beach!

Oh shut up for gods sake they had a chance to put Hogan on the team and
they did'nt that alone saves this angle. They were predictable because
they are wcw biggest stars right now, would you rather have the team be
made up of jobbers.

But if they put giant on the team all the little lemmings would be
saying did'nt luger and the giant just have a match blah blah blah.

This could actually happen. Isn't Savage scheduled to wrestle Hogan at
Halloween Havoc or something later this year? This would be the perfect
opportunity to turn him heel, and he still could go after Flair and the
Horsemen... Hmm... Just my $.02 worth! :)

Actually here's how I see it going. Luger, at the last minute, is
named as the "surprise" 3rd member by Hall/Nash. Then, coming to save the day
is that HH Guy! Or, if some people on this group are correct (which they've
alarmingly been lately), it'll be Ric Flair.

If Luger turns out to be the 3rd man, what happens with the Tag team title
with him and Sting? Do they still tag team, or simply give up the belts?

So in actulaty: You have four WCW men goin after each other (Nash And Hall
were in the WCW before the WWF). Savage was in The wwf longer than Nash, Hall
or Luger will probbly going against jeff jarret who was also in wwf.

So technly it's not a intrefedation feud like the old wwf/nwa match back in
thearly years of wrestling. just a thought.

Sure would throw RSPW a curveball....and the next day "Wow! I never realized
Hogan had such great moves!!" "He's being booed out of the country anyhow, why
not make it on purpose??"

You know, Mark, if you really believe that's what RSPW stands for, why do you keep
posting? When you tack a comment like that on the end of a post, it shows your
mentality and nullifies anything useful you may have posted.

You're not making any friends here by being insulting...

That would be an angle. The *INTRUDERS* come where the Big Boys
Play, get matched up against three jobbers and LOSE!!!!!

The angle could possibly not happen at all. Yesterday, according to the
Slammer newsletter, the WWF filed a lawsuit against WCW for trademark
infrigement, etc.
