All of the groups this is posted to are dead. At best, activity is at
5% of 2002 levels. How ironic that the "end of September" also
meant the end of Usenet as a frequently used communication device.
Now it's just a place to post warez and porn, if you're willing to
pay a service that stores stuff like that. It is troubling when none
of these groups (which were formally thriving) have any new faces
among their ranks, and haven't had any in years.

I like Facebook better! It totally changed the way I communicate
online. Trolls are no longer a lingering issue, as they are here on
Usenet (and frankly there seems to be more trolls than non-trolls
in these groups these days).

It was fun guys, but they're going to turn the lights off sooner
or later. You should probably find a place where you can actually
get new blood (or at least have a better interface when
communicating amonst yourself; at least BBCode or something
for god's sake).

Just a good tip from your old friend.

It's troubling to see an axil in Usenet like Newsgroups lose out to
social media. And nntp left to the dedicated and the destructive.

No, the sad thing is it will probably be archived somewhere until the
sun becomes a red giant and engulfs the earth.

Usenet has BEEN on the skids for sometime but that is OK.
i have seen lots of assholes leave and alot of the advert spam is gone.
I have always been a bit of a pop culture scavenger, picking through the
discarded remnants of past fads, esp. MUSIC, and finding it enjoyable.
usenet is a backwater of the internet, which i have known for some time,
then cool. i can be even happier now here in the Outer Rim Territory of
RSPW.

And how do you propose to set that up on a Usenet board that can't be
moderated by its very nature?

No, let's let this particular place stay dead. There are many other
places to learn how to shoot dope with toliet water, if hearing stuff
like that is your thing.

Hey Eddy - good to see you keeping up the good fight here. Keep these
folks off the H and meth. You'll make them into productive citizens
one day.

Can't complain; life is better than it used to be, anyway. Reading 18
months worth of headers (not posts, just headers) in RSPW is rather
interesting, because you can actually see the decline in posting.
Apparently Incubus starts 95% of the threads in RSPW now.

Every group I used to go to is dead or dying. :/

You do any social media at all?

I do FB and Twitter, Google + too though nothing is ever on it. FB is
"eh" but it is almost like everyone has a page so I do it.

Lots of other threads are started by Unifarva/Robbie. Not as much
great wrestling chat but there is still some ot be found.

Are you on FB/Twitter brah? My Twitter handle is @RSPW_DEP

Done and done.

My fb is http://www.facebook.com/robcypher
Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/#1/robcypher

I stopped watching wrestling more or less after the mergers of the
early 2000s - the product got real stale and TNA is still struggling
to be a credible #2 to this day, if I'm reading various "dirt sheets"
correctly.
