The greatest IC champ since Goldust. I'm glad that there's a new IC Champ,
because Ahmed desrves it. I love Ahmed's style of wrestling. He is
powerful and athletic. He has a heart of gold. He is just the man who can
go all the way.

IMO, Ahmed is just being used as a temp, so HHH can snatch the title.
Since HHH's punishment is *finally* over, he should be getting pushed now.

Ahmed is just used as a temp? Then in this case was Golddust used as
a temp so Ahmed can get the belt? When HHH wins the IC belt is he
also a temp?

Ok, ok - it doesn't sound like how I meant for it to :). What I meant
was that they just needed a face to hold the belt for another heel,
who deserved it, to get it. I don't think Ahmed really deserved it yet,
and I don't think he'll hold it for a long time like others sometimes do.
I believe that when HHH wins it, he will hold it for a while like Goldust
did. Ahmed will only have held it for less that two months (if HHH does
win it at SSlam like I predict). In my book, that is a temp champ. Bob
Backlund and Dean Douglas were mo so temp champs I supposed :).

I think Ahmed is getting a Steamboat-styled I-C push as well. Big
win from long-time heel champ, shocking loss to another heel.

I think the WWF realized Goldust is a heat machine who, like UT at
this point, doesn't need a belt to be validated. Ahmed winning the
belt keeps him and his fans happy. Then, losing the belt to HHH,
IMODO, puts the heat on Hunter (this is also the reason why Steve
Austin won't win a belt in the next year--he's already the king,
any more would be overkill, a la Lex Luger).

The WWF traditionally keeps the World belt on faces. The secondary
belt *needs* to be on a heel, so people will come to the arenas dying
for the guy to get beat.

Actually he meant Hulk Hogan is a quarterback, which is quite untrue for
Bollea was a linebacker, I believe, while in high school.
