INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING ALLIANCE TO OPEN

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA— The ICWA is a brand new promotion, based loosely on
two of the greatest concepts ever in professional wrestling history.
One concept was Senator Antonio Inoki’s World Wrestling Peace
Festival. Inoki took some of the best wrestlers from most of the world’s
top organizations and put them together for one incredible show featuring
intrapromotional matches last summer in Los Angeles. This summer, a
promotion will open on which every card will feature intrapromotional
matches from the world’s best independent organizations.
The second concept was one which in 1948 changed the shape of the
wrestling world forever- the old NWA. The concept was simple. Have the
champions of the territories compete for 1 World title. The ICWA will be
the Battleground of the World’s Best as it becomes the playing field of
the world’s best independents.
Four titles a will be the focus of the International Championship
Wrestling Alliance- the ICWA World Heavyweight, ICWA World Light
Heavyweight, ICWA World Women’s and ICWA World Tag Team titles.
In addition,the ICWA openly supports each and every legitimate
promotion and wrestler and invites every promotion to be part of the
Alliance and send it’s best to do battle on the Battleground of the
World’s Best. Additionally, the ICWA issues an open challenge as it
welcomes any and all professional wrestlers to come to the battleground
and try out.
The ICWA will be the revolution and evolution of professional wrestling.

INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING ALLIANCE DECLARES INDEPENDENCE DAY!

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA— One day after the United States celebrates its
birth, the International Championship Wrestling Alliance will celebrate
its birth with a card it is calling “ICWA’S INDEPENDENCE DAY- BIRTH OF THE
BATTLEGROUND OF THE WORLD’S BEST.” The card will feature wrestlers from
all over the United States and Mexico in both intrapromotional and
interpromotional matches.
Former Slammers Wrestling Federation grappler Dynamite D will lock up with
a man by the name of J. L. (not to be confused with Mr. J. L.). From the
Empire Wrestling Federation of San Bernardino, California the Haystacks
Brothers (also in the National Wrestling Conference and Mexico’s EMLL)
will take on the Brat Pack, Bobby Bradly (NWC, AJPW, FMW) and Christopher
Daniels. Hayward, California’s All-Pro Wrestling will send Mike Modest
and Giggolo Steve Rizzono’s feud to Southern California. In a match which
will pit two of California’s top light-heavyweight wrestlers against one
another Leprachaun Erin O’Grady (All-Pro) will take on The Suicide Kid
(Empire Wrestling Federation). East coast favorites Brittany Brown and
Brandy Alexander move their never ending feud to the left coast, and begin
what will be a full women’s division of the ICWA. Mexico’s PromoAztecas
will provide 3 matches for the card. American Wildchild and Inferno
Dragon will meet in the opener. Also in action representing PromoAztecas
will be two of the world’s best minis Mascarita Segrada and Jerriro
Estrada. INDEPENDENCE DAY will feature a semi-main event of Cyclope vs.
Ultraman, two of Mexico’s hottest high-fliers. For the Main Event, the
ICWA will be getting EXTREME as Raven meets Stevie Richards for their only
West Coast match! (Card subject to change)
ICWA’S INDEPENDENCE DAY- BIRTH OF THE BATTLEGROUND OF THE WORLD’S BEST
will be held Saturday, July 5, at Hollywood Stages (TV soundstage) in
Hollywood, CA. The bell time is 5:00 pm. Ticket information will be
released in the coming weeks. The card will be taped for television.
