I would guess the person who took him off all of the WWF broadcasts over the
past few weeks.

I can't believe that Pettengill was getting paid that much. After all, HBK only makes
between 400,000-500,000 a year himself !
I liked Petingzoo, but I really don't see how he could possibly be worth more than
75,000 a year.

It's not a rumor. It has been officially informed that Todd Pettengill's
contract with the WWF was over and, after 2 weeks of negotiations between
TitanSports and Pettengill, both parts didn't reached an agreement.
According to what was disclosed from the negotiations, TitanSports was
looking for a very substantial salary cut but Pettengill didn't agree.
Pettengill was paid $300,000 a year and TitanSports was willing to pay him
only $150,000 a year; a 50% salary cut. Now, the rumor is that Pettengill
is negotiating with WCW. If this is true, it means that money can make you
forget any hatred you may feel for anyone or any place.
BTW, is TitanSports looking for salary cuts everywhere they can cut them?
Are their employees willing to accept those salary cuts? Is TitanSports
financial status really that bad? If they're after Ric Flair and/or any
other big name wrestler they want to sign, do TitanSports have the amount
of money these wrestlers will ask for?

What the hell did he do? He get's paid by WPLJ to be on the radio,
but other than Mania, what purpose did he serve. He did some ppv's,
but they have other (better liked) people to do that now. $150,000 is
a lot for his talents. I'd say he be worth maybe, $60,000, if that.
If he is negotiating with WCW, maybe Vince can send some money and
Pettengill to WCW and perhaps trade him for the Brian. Or forget the
money part, and trade him for Lee Marshal. Can you see a Raw Report
from a Raw Party?

Well the WWF obviously thought he was initially, of course they now
realise they made a mistake with such a huge salary for someone who is
basically a bit player.
