Arkangel, [Halcon Negro], Violencia v. [Brazo de Oro], Tony Rivera,
Mascara Magica- Been awhile since Magica's been on TV. He wears a
black and green [or purple] suit and has a mask with a "M" on it.
Primera Caida- Magica and Halcon are first to square off, then
Arkangel faces Tony Rivera and the pace picks up a little. Finally
Brazo de Oro wrestlers Violencia. Oro nearly gets him but the rudos
break up his abdominal stretch. In response the other technicos enter
and do stereo double leg slams followed by stereo figure four
leglocks, side by side in the ring, to the other rudos. Oro drop toe
holds Violencia onto the fallen rudos and then jumps on his back,
pinning the other guys down for the three count.
Segunda Caida- Rivera starts, schooling Violencia with a quebradora,
but being dropkicked in suprise. The portly rudo then dives onto him
with his trademark slingshot sommersault bodyblock. In the ring,
Mascara Magica tries to frankenstein Halcon off the top, but the
attempt is blocked and turned into a top rope fireman's carry slam,
for the pin. Arkangel gets Brazo de Oro with a sommersault into a back
headbutt.
Tercera Caida- Magica starts the fall by headscissoring Halcon over
the top. Next Brazo de Oro and Violencia trade pinfall attempts, with
the rudo getting a bodyslam, so that he can go up top to deliver one
of his finishers. However, Rivera wouldn't let that happen so he
knocks the rudo onto the buckles in the technico's corner, then enters
the ring with a top rope frankenstein, putting Violencia in position
for an awesome flying splash from Magica, to get the pin. Brazo de Oro
stops and defeats a charging Arkangel with a snap suplex, as Rivera
dives onto Halcon Negro, who was just about to renter the ring, with a
tope. [full point] Short but the match was worked fairly well, and
there were no stupid screwjobs to hinder the match.
[Villano III], Fuerza Guerrera, Gran Markus v. Rayo de Jalisco, Brazo
de Plata, [Atlantis]- I am in a rush tonight so I will summarize the
rather long and uneventful matchup. In the first caida they did the
pairup thing, until Atlantis fought Villano III, and caught him with
La Atlantida, and got the submission win. In the second, the rudos
tried to dominate with cheap brawling tactics, so Villano simply let
his partners get pinned, and cheered on the technicos who were playing
fair, furthering his technico-turn-storyline. After the match, Fuerza
and Markus expressed some discontent with VIII, claiming he has been
nothing since losing his mask, and not a worthy rudo. [0]
[Perro Aguayo], Tinieblas Sr., and Mr. Niebla v. Shocker, [Bestia
Savalje], Scorpio Jr.- I'll summarize this one too, since Shocker was
the only one who did anything at all here(Go figure). The whole focus
was Bestia v. Perro, since they are building to a hair v. hair match
between the two. In the last fall, Perro hit his double stomp, but
didn't cover since the refs back were turned, so Bestia used a low
blow to win.
MOMENTOS ESTARLES-
El Lance- (The move) Tzuki does a asai bodyblock.
Lo Espactular(Spectacular)- Ricky Marvin uses an Aguila-style tope con
hilo with twist(tornillio mortal)!
Lo Sensacional(Sensational)- Porky does a fat plancha off the apron.
La Llave(The Hold)- Solar 1 makes Karloff Legarda to a submission that
might as well be goofier than the friggin Neblina. He hooked a
standing grapvine, and Karloffs head under the other leg, fell to his
side, and suspended Karloff in a weird hold that had Karloff in midair
looking as if he was figure skating.
Lo Doloroso(Painful) Zumbido gives Antifaz an inverted atomic drop.
Lo Insolito(Unusual)- Los Guapos shave poor Karloff's head because
they don't want anyone infringing upon their gimmick.
Skit(s)- Both the trios challengers and champions discuss strategy for
their match.
MAIN EVENT: BLACK WARRIOR, Blue Panther, [Doctor Wagner Jr.] v. [Negro
Casas], Emilio Charles Jr., Tarzan Boy- For the EMLL Trios Titles.
Blue Panther had on a swanky new blue robe with shoulder spikes.
Primera Caida- Panther begins the match, trading holds with Tarzan
Boy. Next, Wagner faces Negro Casas, in a popular matchup amongst the
fans. Casas uses several holds he never uses anymore including the
backspring into a flying headscissors. The rudos have enough of the
fair play and begin to use team dropkicks to the face on Casas. Blue
Panther finishes the job with a double leg slam and Nudo Lagunero for
the submission win.
Segunda Caida- Black Warrior faces Tarzan Boy, and runs the ropes,
nearly getting catapulted over them with a segadora. Tarzan dropkicks
him out, and tries an over the top dive, but catches his feet on the
ropes and plummets, to audible cheers from the men and entire rudos'
section ;). In the ring Emilio hits a double flying dropkick to
Wagner and Panther, then pins Wagner with a crucifix, while Panther
gets rolled up with La Casita.
Tercera Caida- It looks like Tarzan might have blown his knee out, so
he remains outside for the duration of this. Panther starts the match
trying a press slam that is countered by Casas into a small package,
for two. Casas gets him after another small package and a rana. Next,
Wagner faces Emilio Charles, and pins him by sitting down on him when
he tries a sunset flip. Now it's only the Black Warrior, and Doctor
Wagner v. Negro Casas. Warrior uses a slam and goes up top, but
misses a flying splash, and gets rolled up with a Casita... for two?
Damn. Warrior tags out to Wagner who gets rana'd for two running at
Casas with a clothesline. Casas tries another one, but it is one too
many, as Wagner turns it into a Ligerbomb, for two. Crucifix Powerbomb
gets a two. Wagner tries a running senton, Casas drop toe holds him
and uses Casita, for two. Casas then tries another move off the ropes,
Wagner nearly takes his head off with a lariat, and finishes the job
with a NASTY Wagner Driver. [full point] Very good match though I
would have liked to see a Warrior tope and more back and forth stuff.
Overall: At 2 points out of 4, 'twasn't a bad week, with at least two
good matches this week to offset the crap.
AAA TV-
[Xochitil Hamada], Sahory, Estrellita v. [Rosy Moreno], Miss Janeth,
and Tiffany- This was worked the same way all the AAA women's matches
are worked. Rudas start with a sneak attack, single out each opponent,
but lose control of the match with a miscalculation, and then it goes
back and forth until the finish. In this case, the miscalculation was
the rudas using 'la carreta' to showboat while a fresh technica was
reading to enter the ring with a flying dropkick. They did a good spot
where all three technicas got a 2 count using various pinning moves
simultaneously. Rudas get the match with a Doomsday Device on Sahory
and a spiked reverse powerbomb followed with a three-person submission
on Estrellita. [.75] Good match, though not really worthy of a full
point since the other two technicas aren't really all that good,
compared to the Moreno sisters and Fabi Apache...
CABARELLA CONTRA CABARELLA: Oscar Sevilla v. Apache- So finally it
happens, after months of buildup. Before the match, some clowns get in
a fight or something. I am still wondering what the hell it was but I
can't be bothered to care that much.
Primera Caida- Apache doesn't waste time on the attack, as he uses a
running crucifix powerbomb and then a michinoku driver to take the
fall in seconds.
Segunda Caida- Apache is in control, using the crucifix powerbomb, and
trying to follow it with the michinoku driver once again, but Oscar
turns that into a reverse cradle to get a quick pin.
Tercera Caida- Apache starts by slapping around Oscar and dropkicking
him outside, then using an over the top plancha, he then goes back
inside and follows that up with a tope! They fight outside an Apache
gets posted, and bleeds a TON. Seriously, his face and chest were
drenched in crimson. Oscar rolls him into the ring, and tries to get
the win with a Cavernaria and then a Casita, but neither is succesful.
he whips Apache to the ropes, but has it reversed, and Apache uses
Atlantida, and might get the submission, but the technico could
counter that into a roll up for two. Crucifix into a rana gets
another nearfall for El Noviellero. He tries a Tapitia, but Apache
counters with a takedown, then puts Oscar up top, and does a
superplex, for two. Apache tries the same move, but Oscar counters it
by trying to frankensteiner him to the floor!- which would have been
nuts, but instead Apache hangs on, so Sevilla can sit up, and go over
his shoulder with a top rope sunset flip, for yet another two count.
Oscar then uses a Ringuina(rolling octopus submission) to take the
match and give Apache a free hair cut. [full point] A very good match,
with lots of nearfalls and blood.
Cibernetico v. Tiger Steele(Bull Terry[Chain] match)- I haven't quite
anticipated a match this strongly, from the workrare perspective,
since Sid fought Kevin Nash at a WCW PPV some months ago. A horrible
match, won by Tigre when Killer threw hot coffee(UGH!!!) into
Cibernetico's face, allowing the giant rudo to use a DDT and get the
match. [0]
MAIN EVENT: Espectro Jr., [Sangre Chicana], Pirata Morgan, Texano v.
La Parka Jr., [Octagon], Mascara Segrada, El Alebrije-
Primera Caida- Big rudo brawl, with the tecnicos winning due to
"excesso de rudezas", when all the rudos stomp down Octagon and use a
chair.
Segunda Caida- The rudos start in full control, brawling around, not
doing all that much, althought Texano did get to powerbomb La Parka
Jr. off the second rope. Of course, the technicos got retribution,
fighting back with their own brawl. After a little of this they decide
to work a match. Alebrije faces Pirata, so he gets Kuije to fight him,
so Pirata would act as if he is going to smack the midget, and poor
Kuije would cower giving Alebrije a good diversion. They even had a
tug-of-war for Kuije, with Alebrije on the winning end! Next Segrada
fought Texano, and was able to fight off a top rope throw then uses a
missile dropkick, sending texano to the floor. Next Parka fought
Espectro. Parka worked his hilarious comedy, giving a Three Stooges
Eye Poke to Espectro then row boating to the corner. He got on the
outside, and got ready to springboard in with an armdrag to Espectro,
so Texano and Pirata tried to get in the way, he faked them out, then
finally jumped off with a headscissors + armdrag combo! Next he ran
off the ropes and Texano and Espectro got ready to double backdrop him
into Pirata's powerbomb, but he ran behind them and slapped them on
the butt, then they turned around, and saw Pirata, so they chopped
HIM thinking he was playing a gag on them! LOL. Next they sent him off
the ropes, so he kept going back and forth, and when no one did
anything, he just smugly struted to the outside, and onto the apron.
This guy is the king. Now Octagon faces Sangre, and quickly disposes
of him. Back to Pirata v. Alebrije now. Pirata is pissed so he slaps
the technico around, and slams him, but misses a senton. Alebrije
holds him down so Kuije can senton him, but he catches the midget, and
throws him one handedly away. Alebrije hip tosses him over the top,
and then has Kuije dive, but Pirata catches the guy, and just flings
him into the rail, however, as he turns his back, Alebrije NAILS him
with a great tope! In the ring, Segrada and Parka send texano and
Espectro to the floor, Segrada tries to dive off the top, but slips
:(, meanwhile Parka uses a quebrada on Espectro... In the ring,
Octagon is able to reverse a move on Sangre Chicana when Cibernetico
throws coffee in his face, for the win. [full point] Blown spot and
lame finish aside, this match was fun! Some great flying, tons of
great comedy and fast pace.
Overall: 2 3/4 - 4- Good week, loved the hair match and main event,
plus the women's match was ok, only the stiffs' chain match stunk.
