I was flicking through the TV channels last night and I caught a WCW
commercial on Channel 5...does anyone know if, or what, WCW will be shown?

WCW will be shown on Channel 5, starting Friday July 30th at 7pm-8pm. The
show will apparently be WCW Worldwide. Which means that we now get Nitro and
Thunder on TNT, and Worldwide on Channel 5 - the question being, which will
have *more wrestling* =)? Come to think of it... that makes about *8* hours
of wrestling on a Friday night... sheesh!

Worldwide begins on Friday, July 30 at 7pm. No idea whether it'll be current
or not. Worryingly, it's being advertised as "specially made for Channel 5!"
and the sentence "You've probably heard of Hulk Hogan - now meet Lex Luger
and Randy Savage!" has cropped up in a few TV guides. Of course, this now
means that TV on a Friday night looks like this:

19:00 WCW Worldwide
20:00 Buffy the Vampire Slayer
21:00 Nitro
23:30 Thunder
01:30 RAW
03:30 close

The hour gap that Buffy fills taken into account (and the 15 minute snack
break between Thunder and RAW), that's 7:15 of wrestling every Friday night.
Time to get some E240s... :-)

Why anyone would want to spend Friday night watching sheer crap such as
Worldwide or Raw is beyond me.
