The announcers listed a long list of changes to the PPV lineup.

Christy Hemme suffered a server neck injury while training with A.J.
Styles earlier in the week. I think they also said that her opponent
Kong was injured. The replacement match will be Taylor Wilde, ODB,
and Roxxi vs. Kongtourage. The winner of the match will earn a
future title match against Awesome Kong.

Tenay said that Rhino hadn't arrived at the building. Since they
didn't announce a replacement match, everyone knew it was a swerve
and he would (unfortunately) arrive in time for his match.

Nash tore his quad (or something) again and they'll come up with a
"suitable replacement" for him.

1. LAX and Eric Young over Sonjay Dutt, Jimmy Rave, and Kiyoshi in a
six-man elimination tag in 13:45

Kiyoshi has all the Muta mannerisms down--right down to the weird
way he walks. This unadvertised match ended up being at least
four-stars. If it had gone 20+ minutes it could have been a MOTY
contender. The main negatives in this match were the camera
repeatedly switching to Cornette in the back trying to talk to the
MEM, and the announcers repeatedly talking about Rhino. The North
Carolina crowd was appreciative of this match.

MATCH RATING: $6.50

Backstage, Scott Steiner opened the Mafia door and told Cornette
that Rhino has drinking issues. He said he might be in a gutter
"pissing on himself" somewhere.

RATING: $0.00

2. Alex Shelley over Chris Sabin to win the vacant X Division Title
in 16:00

If this wasn't five-stars, it's only because they didn't go a few
minutes longer. There were comments in IRC of it being MOTY. They
built well and had a healthy number of nearfalls that had the crowd
on their feet through most of the match. Easily the best match I've
seen in the last 9 months.

MATCH RATING: $10.00

Knowing I had seen the best 2 matches of the night, I was tempted to
turn the PPV off at this point. This brought back memories of WCW
(in a *good* way) in that they have crap in the main event, but
allow the good workers to outshine on the undercard.

Foley & Corny babbled about Nash backstage.

RATING: $0.00

3. Shane Sewell over Sheik Abdul Bashir in 10:20

This went 5 minutes too long, and really didn't deserve to be on
PPV, as it was a glorified WWE Heat match. Bashir took a swing at
referee Earl Hebner, who ducked and clocked him. It sucks that a
wrestler has to sell for the offense of an aging crippled ref like
Hebner. After the match, all the refs came out to congratulate
Shane.

MATCH RATING: $0.25

More boring backstage Corny/Rhino crap.

RATING: $0.00

4. Beer Money (w/Jacqueline) over Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed,
and Abyss and Matt Morgan in a three-way to win the TNA Tag Titles
in 15:00

At 4:00, Jackie came in and tried to help her team, but she got
sandwiched between them in the corner. Abyss whipped Lethal into the
three of them and then splashed them in the corner. Roode bell
backward onto the mat. Jackie fell face first into his crotch. Roode
fell down on his knees behind Jackie, He pretended he was riding her
and slapped her ass a few times. No Norman Smilay chants.

MATCH RATING: $0.50 (all for Jackie)

Backstage, Angle threatened to attack a fat black receptionist
(which is okay, since he's dating Khan).

RATING: $0.00

5. ODB, Roxxi, and Taylor Wilde over Sojourner Bolt, Raisha Saeed,
and Rhaka Khan in a six-Knockout tag in 7:50

Obviously, Angle hasn't taught Khan how to wrestle, as she flubbed
every single move she did (and was dead weight when ODB was supposed
to lift and throw her back in a Scott Hall fallaway slam). ODB wins
a title shot against Kong in the future. Roxxi and Raisha weren't
memorable either. If Wilde is from Canada, why does she have all
the stars and stripes in her opening video? ODB copped a feel on
Khan early in the match.

MATCH RATING: $0.60

Corny babbled with Sting backstage.

RATING: $0.05 for Sting showing some fire (and claiming that he
hasn't wrestled in Charlotte in 15 years).

6. Kurt Angle over Jeff Jarrett in a No DQ match in 22:00

Six minutes into this match it looked like it was somehow going to
be worse than the last two (if that's even possible). Then they
found second gear and did some stuff over the top rope before both
guys juiced (though Angle's was minimal). The last half of the
match had some decent hardcore brawling, as Angle is good at
adapting his style to his lesser opponents. After the match,
Jarrett was stretchered out while the crowd sang "na na na na
goodbye" to him.

MATCH RATING: $3.40

Backstage Corny tried to talk Rhino out of wrestling, but
unfortunately wasn't successful.

RATING: $0.00

7. Sting over Rhino for the TNA Title in 8:30

Neither of these guys can really have a main event match without a
more capable opponent. They can both be carried, but neither is
capable of carrying the other. At least is was relatively short for
a PPV match.

MATCH RATING: $0.20

Backstage, each of the babyfaces said whom they were going to win
the match for.

RATING: $0.05

8. Mick Foley, Brother Devon, and A.J. Styles over Cute Kip, Scott
Steiner, and Booker T (w/Sharmell) in 15:55

Tenay mentioned the New Age Outlaws and Degeneration X. Kip
mentioned his IC title wins. The match was nothing special until it
ended and was restarted by Corny (and Foley) at which point it
became yet another hardcore brawl. Highlight was a huge dive from
AJ over the ropes through the MEM on a table outside the ring.

MATCH RATING: $2.00 (mostly for AJ)

TOTAL MATCH RATING: $23.45

TOTAL SKIT RATING: $0.10

TOTAL PPV RATING: $23.55

TNA price of the PPV: $29.99

That makes this the best non WrestleMania PPV in four years.

I spent $0.00 in gas and $0.00 on food, so by that token I got my
money's worth.
