Danny Davis Presents NWA/ Ohio Valley Championship Wrestling
Tuesday, March 16,1999
Louisville Gardens
Louisville, KY

Announcer...Dean "The Man" Hill
Referees...Robert Brisco...James Hardin

ROB CONWAY APOLOGIZED TO NICK DINSMORE, NICK'S MOTHER AND TO THE
FANS AND THEN ???...."HUSTLER" RIP ROGERS CAUSES JUAN HURTADO TO
LOSE HIS CHANCE FOR THE OVW TITLE!!!!

Before the start of the first match, Rob Conway came to the ring
from the heels' dresssing room and got the house mic and
proceeded to call Nick Dinsmore and his mother to the ring. Rob
would apologize to the fans, Nick and his mother about his
behavior of late. Nick would tell Nick that he did not like being
on the heel side.Nick would still have doubts about Rob's
sincerely as the two would go back to the dressing room to
discuss his behaviors as of late.

Opening match: Tag match

Referee...James Hardin

Vito Andretti and Guido Andretti (w/Johnny Rocket) vs. Rasputin
and "Smooth" Johnny Spade

WINNERS: In the end, the Andretti would apply the "overhaul" on
Rasputin. Guido would get the pin over Rasputin for the victory.
around 5 minutes

Second match: OVW Light Heavyweight title match

Referee...James Hardin

Chris Alexander (challenger) vs. "Handsome" Jason Lee (w/Johnny
Rocket) (champion)

WINNER: Chris Alexander would give the light heavyweight champion
a run for his money throughout the match. In the end, the
experience of the "handsome one" would prevail in the match.
Jason Lee would get the victory around the 5 1/2 minute mark of
the match.

Third match: OVW Heavyweight title match

Referee...Robert Brisco

Rod Steele (champion) vs. "DangerZone" Juan Hurtado
(challenger)

WINNER: Both heavyweights would battle toe to toe throughtout the
match. Close to the 4 minute mark, Juan would get Steele in the
full nelson. As Steele was about to tap out, Rip Rogers and
Johnny Rocket came running in the ring. Rogers would began to
attack Rod Steele. Referee Robert Brisco would award the match to
Juan Hurtado on the DQ. Rod Steele would keep the title due to
the interference of Rip Rogers. After the match, Juan Hurtado
would send Rip Rogers and Johnny Rocket both reeling out of the
ring. Juan Hurtado would get some revenge later in the night on
Rogers in a fans chooses Rip Rogers' opponent. around 5 minutes

FIRST INTERMISSION:

Fourth match: OVW Southern Tag title match

Referee...Robert Brisco

Jebediah Blackhawk and Cousin Otter (Champions) vs. Flash
Flanagan and Trailer P. Trash (Challengers)

WINNERS: The match would be an excellent match between these two
fan favorite tag teams. Just past the 10 minutes mark of the
match, referee Robert Brisco would accidentally get knocked out
of the ring. With all 4 wrestlers in the ring, referee James
Hardins made his way in the ring. Toward the end of the match,
Blackhawk would chokeslam Flash Flanagan and make the cover.
Meanwhile, TPT had Otter pinned. Hardin would make the 3 count on
Otter while Brisco counted Flanagan out. After both referees had
a discussion in the middle of the ring over who should be the
winners, it was decided just throw the entire match out.
Blackhawk and Otter would retain the tag titles. It was decided
that Flash and TPT would be given a rematch next Tuesday night at
the Gardens with 2 referees against the hillbillys. around 12
mins.

Sixth match: Fans choose who wrestlers Rip Rogers

Referee...Robert Brisco

Fans choice vs. Rip Rogers (w/Johnny Rocket)

WINNER: As Rip Rogers and Johnny Rocket made their way in the
ring, Dean Hill would announce that the fans had chosen
"DangerZone" Juan Hurtado as Rip's oponent. Rip would get on the
house mic and attempt to persuade Brisco that he was hurt and was
unable to wrestle Juan. Brisco would finally give Rip Rogers the
choice of being counted out of the match, plus being suspended
from OVW. Toward the end of the match, Juan Hurtado would put the
full nelson on Rip Rogers. Johnny Rocket would enter the ring to
cause the DQ. Rocket would be put in the full nelson as well. The
Andretti Express would hit the ring only to run out by Juan. Juan
Hurtado would be the winner by DQ around the 5 1/2 minute mark of
the match.

FINAL INTERMISSION:

Seventh match: Tag match

Referee...Robert Brisco

Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway vs. David C and Damaja
(w/Treasure)

WINNERS: This match was supposed to be a grudge match between Rob
Conway and Nick Dinsmore, but before the match Rob would con his
way back to being Nick's partner. David C and Damaja w/ Treasure
would come to the ring and challenge Nick and Rob. After Nick got
a thumbs up from his mother to go ahaed with the match, the match
would began. Throughout most of the match, Conway looked like a
changed man making frequent tags to his partner. Around the 3
minute mark of the match, Kousin Krazy would come to ringside and
chase Treasure back to the dressing room. Toward the end of the
match, Rob would ask Nick if he wanted to go for the rocket
launcher off the top ropes onto their opponent. As Rob was about
to send Nick off the top ropes, he would straddle Nick across the
top ropes. As David C and Damaja made their way out of the ring,
Rob Conway would spend the next few minutes torturing Nick in
front of Nick's mother who had made her way to ringside. Before
leaving the ring, Rob would again put the rack on Nick Dinsmore.
Rob would pose for the fans as he let the ring and headed back
toward the heel's dresssing room. The night came to end with
several security helping Nick back to the dressing room and the
fans standing in the aisles in disbelief. There would be no
winners in the match as the referee had stopped the match. around
8 minutes

Hmmm...I kinda figured Vince Morales would be a little upset with
my comments about ECW in my last article. After all, I totally
bashed his favorite federation (I don't dare call it wrestling).
However, gosh, I didn't expect him to go insult me like he
did...yeah, right. Morales is nothing but a little
fair-weathered punkass who calls people a sellout whenever they
try to make a paycheck. It's quite funny, actually. This
is what Vince Morales actually said about the state of wrestling,
saying that the WWF isn't wrestling...

"The point I was trying to make is that wrestling is supposed to
be about WRESTLING."

Oh, and jumping off of a balcony is wrestling? Throwing a
garbage can full of weapons in the ring, that's wrestling?
Putting people through tables, that's wrestling? I've got news
for you, Vince...if you want wrestling, there is a federation
with the letters "ECW" in the name, but it's not located in
Philadelphia, it's located in Wilmington, Delaware, and it's
called the East Coast Wrestling Association. Ever heard of a
guy named Mike Quackenbush? Talented wrestler, one of my
personal favorites, but if he went to ECW, the fans wouldn't
accept him, because he doesn't curse up a blue streak or use
tables and chairs! Ace Darling is another case. So is Christian
York. Don Montoya is just as good. What's funny about ECW fans
is that they wouldn't know a good wrestling match if it smacked
them in the face, with the exception of the Guerrero-Malenko
series.

Morales, I could say so much about you, but IceWolf did it for
me. Oh, and it doesn't matter who your hero is, Rob Van Dam or
Shane Douglas. You were probably calling Douglas a sellout back
in 1995 when he went to the WWF. In other words, you're a damned
hypocrite. I said it before about ECW, and now, I'm saying it
about you...GET OVER YOURSELF!

But wait...I've read recently that a couple of readers, and not
just those who voiced their opinions in the mailbag, want to have
Morales and the Justice fired. As much as I hate to stand beside
Morales on this...I'm agreeing with him. Just because you don't
agree with someone does not mean that he should be removed from
the newsletter. If that was true, then every ECW fan would
probably be calling for my head on a platter. Plain and simple,
opinions, no matter how insane we think they are, are just that;
opinions. If you don't agree with it, then don't read it.
Personally, I'll admit it...I read both Morales' and Justice's
columns. Sure, some things the Justice says makes me upset
(Mankind, for one), but that's his opinion. However, I'm not
going to slam my fingers on the keyboard to tell Scotsman to fire
these two.

Now, since I'm such a nice guy, I'll tell you what to do...just
ignore them. Don't read it. I know several people don't read my
column because I talk about my e-fed quite a bit, but heck, it's
not going to bother me, just like it doesn't bother Morales or
Justice. No matter how immature both of them can sink, they're
still going to express their opinions, and if you don't like it,
tough.

All right...I'm out. But before I go...Clifford Watkins...YOU'RE
INSANE! Congratulations on the world record...just don't show me
that tape of the "nads of steel" trick. My balls hurt just
thinking about that, let alone reading it.

TKR #200 is coming up...so we’re going to do something special!
We’re all going to get naked and host a party! Whoo-hoo!

Only kidding....I hear Matpunx is a pretty ugly sight. I wouldn’t
put you readers through that.

Anyway..it’ll be a trivia quiz, and the winner will be announced
in issue #200. I will send out a trivia quiz sometime over the
next week.

There will be three prizes, all TKR-related. No, no kilts!

I’ll tell you the prizes beforehand too.

TKR staff CAN enter, except SMMJ and Historian, who will help me
with the questions.

Oh..and if any wrestlers/managers etc out there would like to
donate some merchandise..e-mail me and we can work something out.

Remember SMMJ? Yes, hes back with TKR! He now runs TKR’s TNM
section! All exclusive exports only by him. (TNM is a wrestling
simulator for the 2 of you who don’t know).

He will also be writing a TNM-Related column.

Anyway, visit the website today @ http://wrestlesource.com/TKR/TNM

Reading what Bret Hart said in the WCW Live interview...I wouldn’t
be surprised to see him come back to the WWF. It wasn’t like his
usual interviews where he badmouths the WWF. This time he actually
says Vince was right that WCW wouldn’t know what to do with him.

Imagine if The Undertaker’s “leader” was Bret Hart?

McMahon in the ring...Undertaker says ‘tonight is the night’......
McMahon says ‘I ain’t scared of nobody..theres nobody in the
wrestling business that scares me...’....then the Hitman music
starts......

I’d probably mark out so much I’d have a heart attack!
