Yes I know it's been done to death, but I'm the one who usually starts them..
and it's loads better than the "What's in your CD player?" topic.

The question is pretty self-explanatory, IMO, and stands as this:

Who are some of the characters that you'd really like to have your characters
feud with?

Myself, being the outgoing little shit that I am.. will start.

Luckily, for V.D. Vitrone most of the feuds that I wanted to have with him..
well, I actually got to do.

Here's some of my faves.. in no particular order.

-- Derek Mota: I've always been a fan of Ian's work with the character, and
luckily,
although I wasn't expecting it.. we got to work a nice feud in the EMWC. It was
a "respect" type feud, with Mota being the potential favorite.. the "superstar"
from the IIWF, defending his pride against Vitrone.. the upstart who made a
name for himself on the "alternative" route (NEW/INWI). Anyways, I thought it
was really
cool given the amount of time we were given.. and the "Seven Tables of Fear"
match that resulted is one of my all-time favorite Vitrone matches.

-- Eddie Jacobs : Joe Birmingham is, without a doubt, the greatest handler to
work with in all of e-Wrestling, IMO. Vitrone and Jacobs have been through _so_
much,
from Vitrone walking out on his then tag team partner Eddie Jacobs during a tag
team title defense, to Vitrone costing EJ a match to "Cold & Calculating" Tony
Houston in N.E.W. Vitrone is the man who brought Eddie Jacobs to the EMWC, who
then served as Vitrone's bodyguard.. and led to Vitrone getting Jacobs to sign
away the EMWC Television Title on a napkin, after getting him drunk .Finally,
in a match at Showtime (I believe it was) Jacobs literally demolished half of
Vitrone's spine, giving him three ruptured disks, which put him out of
wrestling for a year.

-- Andrew "Flash" Tucker : Wow.. from the AOL fed days of the CiA, to feuding
over the lightheavyweight title in INWI, to feuding in the INWI Main Event,
these two
characters have always had bad blood. They worked together in the EMWC to rid
of Zokugun Sangai.. but the alliance soon stopped when Vitrone and then friend
Eddie Jacobs turned on Strictly Business (Tucker/Mike Sebastian), and the
bitter rivalry continued.

-- Juventil Infierno : In one of the biggest feuds of the EMWC
Junior-Heavyweight division, V.D. Vitrone.. the most arrogant, universally
hated heel (for more reasons than one, I'm told) since Ronnie D vs. Juventil
Infierno, one of the few genuine babyfaces in (e)wrestling. It started out with
Vitrone being envious of Juvy's popularity with the crowd.. so Vitrone took it
as his responsibility to embarrass
Juvy at all times, mocked his dead father.. and even went as far as to claim
Juvy's father as his own. Matt Furnish and I thought it had the foundation for
a great feud, but unfortunetly, Chris Blue didn't think so.. so, umm, yeah.

-- "Desire" Brandon Bloom - Wow, this feud rocked. It was one of the rare times
where Vitrone was a face, and he only became so by defending the N.E.W. against
the son of N.E.W. owner (GoodFella), "Desire" Brandon Bloom and his tribe of
outcasts called the DBBWF. A nice invasion angle, before invasion angles got
played out.. and it resulted in my all-time favorite Vitrone match, where
Vitrone
defeated the N.E.W. legend Brandon Bloom, and forced him to "pass the torch",
if you will.

-- Mark Cutter - LMAO! This basically started out with Mark Cutter (the
handler)'s strong dislike for me, for some unknown reason.. but, he's Cutter.
Anyways, Vitrone was on the brink of Main Event status in N.E.W., and quickly
climbing the ranks in INWI. However, Cutter felt that somehow Vitrone must've
been taking away from his character's glory.. and challenged Vitrone to a cage
match, which he seemed confident that he was gonna win. Hell, I wasn't going to
argue. Vitrone was an indy star here.. and was about to be thrown into a feud
with one of the biggest names in e-wrestling at the time. Anyways, the two
exchanged trash talk.. and ended up in a cage match in MSW, where Vitrone made
Cutter tap. I still think this is the feud that made Vitrone popular.

HONORABLE MENTION:
- James Pillow
- Drew Snyder
- Michael Bledsoe
- LOCO (Ok this feud kinda sucked.. but still.), alot of people seemed to pay
attention to it.

And now..

The feuds that I look forward to having:

'Bullywug' Glenn Hudson - Vitrone and Wug had a match at
the final INWI PPV, and I really enjoyed it. I think the two would
make a great feud.

Bilal Masai - They hooked up at MOTR V, as the last two finalists
of the Pentagon Pain Cruiserweight match.. and as far as Vitrone's
concerned, Masai is wearing his belt right now, so we'll see how this
works out.

Only going to list guys I haven't fully feuded with yet.

For Nick Demola:

Brody Thunder - I'd like to drag his old ass out of retirement and beat him till
he's unconscious so I can go play with his wife some more. Whoops, this isn't
supposed to be in character, is it? heh
Jason Keening - Sure we're stablemates, but it'd still be fun.
Brian Von Braun - Yeah baby. Let him give me the rub. :-)
Chris Courtade - See above.
Jeremy Locke - Never played that feud out. Would be fun in some fed.

For Jonah Keller:

V.D. Vitrone - Talking to Maz made me really want that feud. :-)
Logan Devlin - Okay, that's self-serving.
Robert Donovan - He can talk whatever way he wants to about his mama, damn it.

For Devin Demola:

Dave Pietka - And then the locusts would immediately follow.

Well, my character is "Dreamboat" Devon Tracy, a cocky, sneakly, overzealous
heel who constantly gets his ass kicked. =)

Guy's I'd like to have him feud with?

CALEB TEMPLE - I think he's on most people's wish list for a feud. Feuding
with Temple instantly gets you over, in my book, because he's just that damn
good.

JW HARDIN - Need my ass kicked by a nice big Texan, too.

JEFF MATTHEWS - Pre heel turn. Would have been cool.

Of course, none of these feuds can conceivably ever take place, so I guess I'll
just dream. =)

Oh yeah, the post said Dream Feuds ... right ...

ah what the heck...

~Alex Martinez.
The first one was a blast and Dave's too much fun to work with. The original
Martinez-Extreme was pretty damn deadly so where we'd go from here is beyond me
but I'd like to find out.

~Jason Keening.
With all that time in the same fed, you'd have thought I'd have worked on one
on one feud with this guy. Sadly that was coming when the UEW closed. Pat
Calhan's one of the top 5 handlers in e-w today. It'd be an honor to finally
have Extreme get the beating he's deserved from JK for the last 3 years.

~Brody Thunder.
Duh. How can someone not one to feud with this guy?

There are others I could mention but I lack the time. It's also kinda why I
joined UWF. Lot of the people there were guys I'd been wanting to face for a
while.

Syko [SEWF]
----------------

vs. Mike Masters

The guy can bring out the best in damn near anyone. Given Syko's unorthodox
style against Masters' classic technical wrestling, and the fact that Syko
never really got along with Masters, or his manager Narcissa, sparks would
most definetly fly. Superface v. Superheel, anyone?

v. Higor Rosa

But instead of wrestling, they'd have a string of drinking contests. Who
goes under the table first?! Who becomes best friends with Ralph? What's
better, Rum or whiskey?! Stay tuned to find out!

v. Killer Christian Holmes

This is actually more of a personal thing than an in character thing. I've
vowed that if I ever find out where KCH is, I'll go there and challenge him.
UWC scares bunnies BTW.

v. Luscious Luciano

No reason, just think it'd be cool as hell.

v. You.

Yes you.

Just kidding. =)

By far, my dream feud would be Sabby vs. The Wasp. We've tried it
before, but
circumstances have always kept us from taking it to its full
potential.

A feud that never really got off the ground was Sabby vs. Tommy
Lionheart, where us two wrote all the matches. I think it was a best
five of seven or something
like that. Unfortunately it couldn't work out. Yeah, it's been done
before, but it woulda been fun.

If he's still around, Retribution would be a GREAT feud. The two
characters are tied at 1-1. I'd like one last match with a buncha
build up to the final match.

And of course, my charcter Requiem, whom that no good Martin Goodson
stole. I was his first, Martin! I was there before you~! ONE DAY
THEY'LL SEE THAT I'M RIGHT!!! ONE DAY MARTIN!!!

And by God, in the Requiem vs. Requiem match.....REQUIEM WOULD WIN

You know, i think I'll add two more to the list that *GASP* you people may
have actually heard of.

Syko v. Valtharius the Mad.

Why? Why have a deathwish like that? Because it'd be one hell of a David v.
Goliath kinda match. This guy is like 7'5, 500 something. Syko is 6'2, 222.2
pounds. And he seems like he'd be a blast to rp against...... that is, if i
didn't think he'd EAT SYKO.

and

Syko v. Spikyjim.

Well being that he is such a high flyer I can name one right off the

would also be others for him. Messiah, at better times, was another I once

Of course there are a ton of other guys I mark for that I would like-
Demola, Temple, Tiger Claw, Shaw only these will never happen :)

While we are talking about dream fueds...what about dream alliances? The
alliance with Aidan March and Devin Demola in ACW is ruling fricking ass. I

Eh... what the hell. I mean, even I dream... and I'd like to have a feud or so
with a couple of people I haven't before.

For Steppenwulf:

Ketiak ~ From what I understand, their gimmicks are similar. Asian background,
Hunter/Warrior, even a desire for things to be as they once were. I read a
Ketiak RP once, I think for a Wrestlebowl, and he was talking about past-day
and present-day Kuala Lumpur. I rather enjoyed it, and I would like to have The
Asian Madness go up against him one of these days.

Morgan De Sade ~ I WOULD say Valtharius, but he's retired. And I do say Morgan
on two counts. One, I've always worked with Patrick, and it would be
interesting to see who would end up winning. And two, although it might be
thought different, Morgan and Steppenwulf have always been on friendly terms,
though we all know that both of them wouldn't hesitate to kill the other simply
to entertain themselves.

And for "Heavy Mental" Dave Pietka...

Devon Case ~ In character, Pietka IDOLIZES Case... has said so openly in the
past, and still does hold Case in a sense of hero-worship. I'd just do this
simply for the fact of working with Mike.

And that's about it folks.

I've already got my dream feud, really... Casey James/Temple... I've
been looking forward to it for about 5 years now...

After that, I might as well retire, since I'll probably never have
another feud again... Somehow, I've gotten a reputation for having a
huge e-wrestling ego, and nobody wants to work with me... Even though
that rep is only maintained by people who've never actually, you know,
worked with me... You know who you are... And so do I, Birm.

Let's see..

GREAT Mask:

I'd probably have to go with "Heavy Mental" Dave Pietka as Mask's top
dream feud. These two going back and forth in an in-ring would
probably make more people go insane than.. than.. office cubicals.

Another one would have to be Michelle Bailey, only because Jutin is
one of the best to work with, and again, the contrast in styles would
be pretty funny to see unfold.

Eh, that's about it for GREAT Mask...

Simon Bach:

Damn, there's a whole bunch of people I'd like to see get into the
ring with Bach. But the top two feuds would probably be..

Devon Case - I mean come on, the world has waited for this for a long
ass time, Bach vs. Case, The Fearless One vs. The Devious One, Epitome
of Over vs. Mr. Match of the Mid-Year. Again, I don't think there's
an arena big enough to fit our character's egos into. Well, there was
this one match inside a vagina... that could probably hold it.

Sezter Van Strife - Yeah, me and Wnuk would have to rent out Jupiter
for the EGO MATCH to take place on, but it would be worth the effort
to work with Jason and SVS. Too much history to go into, but to sum it
up... it would rock!

I don't know about the frequency of the topic... I do know, however,
that in at least one conversation, my reputation has been discussed by
peoplewho are not me with people who are not me. My reputation of
being hard to work with... My reputation of having some sort of ego
that makes me impossible to deal with in the game of e-wrestling...

I'm just a bit curious... Where does it come from? It can't be
experience... Because those who speak of it haven't ever dealt with me
on the levels that they claim it pertains to. Those who _have,_ on the
other hand, tell a completely different story.

For the record... This isn't a display of ego... This is a display of
annoyance over someone saying things about me about which they have no
evidence to support. Not that it's new... People have been doing it
for years... It's just now that I'm deciding to find out why.

Is there a club for guys like us then? *smirk*

No, Mat, I don't A) have a hatred for all things EMWC B) have any reason to
think you're hard to work with. The only time we've had a real conversation on
IRC you came off as a really nice (maybe not by conventional definitions
*wink*) guy, and that exact description also goes for Scotty B.

But yeah, I know the feeling...just don't expect that I have some sort of
reason to slander you. Casey James is one of the characters I most enjoy in
e-W, and Claw (though I'm sort of ignorant to some of his style and aren't into
that whole strong silent type motif) has always been a great read. And behind
the scenes I have no reason to think you're anything other than a good handler
by default.

>I'm just a bit curious... Where does it come from?

Bandwagons. Again, something I have going against me as well.

Those are the only ones who people with any sense will listen to, then.

I didn't take you for some egotistical bastard, Mat, but considering I don't
bash you I noted the irony. It does amuse me that this sort of thing is so
rampant in e-W...I never took you for someone to believe the hype of others,
though, which is why I didn't come back with anything vitrolic.

It's not about caring about the hype of others. One thing I absolutely
will not tolerate is people bitching and moaning when my back is
turned, and then greeting me with smiles and compliments when I'm
actually present. Anyone who's taken a look at my track record can see
this... It's actually the one thing that all of my "e-w enemies" have
in common. They've all acted with two faces.

Now... Since you're stating that you've never done anything of the
sort, warning people about the difficulties of working with me or my
ego, then someone, somewhere is lying to me... And that is something
else I can't tolerate. It's insulting to my intelligence.

I would have nothing to cite. I don't agree with your philosophies sometimes
(that's what I get for being one of those bleeding heart dickfaces, eh? :))
but I don't think I've ever said "Yeah, that Mat is an asshole, don't trust

Enough people think I'm two-faced in this game anyway that sometimes I think it
would be easier to just be their villain. Although I don't greet you (with
smiles or not) I also don't mention you much, if at all...although some people
have been asking me if this series of posts isn't as civil as it seems (no

That's basically the only way to piss people off in the e-world, I think.

Sometimes it's all in perception. Maybe people perceive me as doing something
I don't because they think I have some universal hate for all things EMWC.
Maybe my perception is the one that's fucked up due to many missing brain
cells. Maybe no perception is truly accurate (oooh...maybe too deep to use in
this topic. :)).

"Wild Child" Brian Storm:

I would pick Dan Kauffman as one of his dream feuds. I don't know if
Dan remembers this or not but in the AWPI he began to play the mentor
role to Storm and he helped the ground work that had "Wild Child"
Brian Storm become a face instead of the heel that I had orginally
planned :)

Devon Case would have to be another. I just love Case's work and style

With Luke Kinsey, I'd definitely say Dan Kauffman. One of e-w's
greatest babyfaces. Probably won't happen, but hey, I can dream can't
I?

Oh yeah, Devon Case as well. Everyone else is saying it, so I figured

Heh. For some reason, I see Bin Laden winning the first fight by "stoppage"
when his guards gun you down before you can get anywhere near him.

As for the Taliban... just goes to show you that religion, as a whole, is a

A knife is just a tool until it's manipulated for purposes of harming
others; then it becomes a weapon. So to is religion.

I see religion as more of a gun. Religion locked up, caged, and held in the
restraints of churches are "showpieces". The second you take that gun out of
said "closet", it becomes a weapon that can be used to defend yourself, to
claim power, and to justify that _your_ gun/religion is best.

Yeah, the knife analogy works. But I don't think it works in this instance.

Forgive me on the lateness of this reply, but I don't read the group
often and just now came by this post. Anywho...

I might be able to help you on this one, my friend. Although, I'm sure
my opinion will be called "retarded" or something along those lines
when I'm finished, but I'll walk into the fire this once.

I'm going to go out on a limb, but perhaps the above comes from the
fact that you conduct yourself as an ass on this board? You're not
exactly the most laid back, agreeable guy out there.

Slow down, blood pressure down my friend.

I face the same problems. I get unjustly labeled as hard to deal with
as well, due to the fact that like you, I'm not afraid to mix it up in
an arguement.

However, let's look at it from others eyes. You come on here, to a
discussion board, and post your opinions. That's fine. However, when
you go attacking other posters because their beliefs differ, do you
not think that sends a red flag to people?

You call people retards. You always want to argue, even the most
rudamentry points. If someone said "the sky is blue" and you decided
it wasn't, or read Farmer Zigg Bobs Alamanac and it said differently,
you'd argue that. I have no doubt. And it's not so much the fact that
you argue, it's the way you go about it. You attack people, who are
just as free to form opinions as you, yourself are. Even if they
contradict a previous or later opinion, who gives a fuck?

However, when they differ from yours or contradict another post of
theirs, you verbally bash them until they say "to hell with it", or
block you altogether, and then you say "uhhhh, why'd you do that for?
Mat Findlay is a likeable guy. Mat Findlay is a swell guy. Mat Findlay
is as American as applepie."

Why start World War 3 over stupid shit. Do you have nothing better to
do?

You seeing why you get such a reputation yet?

You can't have it both ways my friend. Either you're a nice, agreeable
guy everyone likes...or you're an overbearing dickhead, that wants to
verbally bash everyone who doesn't see everything through the same
looking glass as yourself, and consequently, isn't liked much.

It's a thin line in the sand, and you, and I included, chose our sides
long ago. Just got to live with it now.

I hope this helped in your quest to find our why Mat Findlay isn't so
well liked, and I hope you take a more mature route to replying to
this post, and future posts for that matter.

However, I'm almost certain you'll try to start up a thesis like
arguement, backed up with the latest facts and statistics from the Sub
Tropic Malaysian Hypergood Alamanac or some shit, and convince me my
opinion is wrong.

If thet's what you wish to do, don't even bother, I won't reply. I
won't killfile you, cause god knows it's wrong to killfile such a
likeable guy, but I won't reply nonetheless.

Actually, I don't think Mat goes about randomly attacking people. He just
doesn't like stupidity much, which happens to run rampant on this board.

You can say "Well, then he shouldn't read those posts" or "He shouldn't reply
if he doesn't like what's said", but like you said before, he's allowed to
voice his opinion in anyway he deems fit.

I also don't remember any instance where Mat called someone a retard without
there being actual evidence to back it up I.E. lack of coherent thought, fourth
grade taunts, off-topic bashing, ect.

I don't know Mat personally, nor do I claim to be a friend of his. But I can
say without a shadow of a doubt that Mat is probably one of the most
intelligent people that posts to this board. Sure, he might not be all
sunshiney or happy-go-lucky like some people, but that's because he's based in
reality. He sees things how they are, not how he wants to see them. You have
to respect that.

Finally, as per him debating with someone over opinon-based topics... he's
never short with anyone, never calls them out and out liars, and respects that
other person's opinion. I've never seen him disrespect a person when the
debate had to do with opinion. Only when the debate had to do with fact.

Anyway, Mat might be an asshole, but he's a respectable asshole, and as much as
he dishes out respect to other handlers in this game, I think he deserves a bit
back.

Or maybe that's just my view on him...

What I'm talking about has nothing to do with my conduct on this
newsgroup. I was getting the sort of e-w crap I'm talking about long
before I ever posted here.

>However, let's look at it from others eyes. You come on here, to a

No... No, no, no. I don't blast people for having different opinions.
I blast people for being _idiots._ If someone can sit there, and say
"I believe in this... I know that it doesn't make a hell of a lot of
sense sometimes, but I believe it anyway", then I'd accept that... And
I have... The problem arises when people say things like, "This is
what I believe, AND IT'S RIGHT, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY TO THE
CONTRARY."

Take this reply (To this point, at least. I reply on the fly)... I
haven't called you names or started getting abusive... At least not
yet. You are saying that I blast people for having a differing
opinion, and I'm saying this isn't the case... Civil-like... Now, if
in the next reply, you just keep repeating over and over again that
I'm blasting people for having different opinions despite anything I
say, _then_ I'll start calling you an idiot.

Keep in mind... I've been reading and posting here for a significant
amount of time... I've given the majority of people here a chance...
Yes, even Jase. In fact, look far enough back, and I believe Jase even
included in his sig that he was a "mark" for me. To someone that
hasn't seen the whole story, it might look like I'm jumping on people
for no reason a lot of the time... THat's not the case... I just
happen to jump on people who've proven themselves to be morons in the
past... Proof that many weren't witness to.

If someone said the sky was blue, and it _wasn't,_ you're damn right
I'd argue that point. To claim something that's not true is ludicrous.

I don't get mired down in opinion... I keep things on a level of cold,
hard fact. The problem is the utilization of the Opinion Defense by
others.

>However, when they differ from yours or contradict another post of

I don't see where you got this... Like I said, I don't bash people for
differing opinions. I bash people for perpetrating lies. And if
someone blocks me, then fine. I really don't care. What bothers me is
when someone blocks me and then continues to take potshots at me. You
appear to be at least a partially rational person... Does this not
make sense to you?

>Why start World War 3 over stupid shit. Do you have nothing better to

Nope.

Like I said before, my e-w rep has nothing to do with my RSPWF rep...
Read what my point was with the e-w rep. People think my "success"
goes to my head. People think I join feds to undermine them. I do no
such thing.

Besides, the rep itself isn't even so much the issue... The issue I
was really focusing on at the time was the tendency of people to talk
shit about me behind my back, and then talk me up when I'm within
earshot. I do not dig that in the least.

>It's a thin line in the sand, and you, and I included, chose our sides
>long ago. Just got to live with it now.

I've got no problem with that... Never have, never will. I take
responsibility for my actions... And it sickens me to see others who
don't. And I have no problem saying so.

>I hope this helped in your quest to find our why Mat Findlay isn't so

Honestly, I don't give a shit if anyone likes me. I am who I am, and
there are going to be those who dig it, and some who don't.

>However, I'm almost certain you'll try to start up a thesis like

See... You could do without the baiting here... The sarcasm... The
assinine tone. A lot of times, that's what unleashes my rage. Little
smarmy asshole comments that can only be taken as an offense. I know
you'd love for me to fly off the handle with you, but here I've just
politely stated where you're incorrect on some points... That's gotta
be a disappointment.

I didn't get that from the posts I read. If it was a miscommunication,
I apologize. What I got, was that people assumed you were hard to work
with, without ever working with you. When you have a tendancy to
bicker, and people notice that, they will talk.

I read through some old posts, some of your attacks are wavering. They
could, and keyword, could be construed as an attack on a personal
level over the opinion.

However, with the last line of that paragraph...people have their own
beliefs, own opinions. They don't change them that easily, so it's
really futile to try and change their opinions. I guess what I'm
saying, is 75% of the free world falls into that category of "MY
BELIEF IS RIGHT, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY TO THE CONTRARY TAG."

If you've got a problem with that, then you'll be arguing your entire
life :)

I'd be one of the above. However, let's get it all straight, I'm not
defending anyone in particular. To defend someone, would mean I know
all the facts, and think they're right.

Since I don't, I'm merely speculating on what I've seen, to answer
your question that you posed to the newsgroup.

I think I actually read a post one time, 2-3 months ago??? Not sure,
it was prior to my "script idea" post. Some guy said that you did
argue, and convince him the sky wasn't blue.

Once again, people don't abandon their opinions with ease. Sometimes,
the belief in god, and after-life, or whatever their beliefs are--is
the only thing they have. What I mean by that, is they're the only
things they really have, that they really value. To get them to
abandon those beliefs would be next to impossible.

Let's just say I'm half/half on that one. Sure, it's not the most
standup thing to do, but then again--does it matter?

Sometimes there's just no explanation, or reasoning for ignorance. It
just is. Now, before I get sailed up the creek on this one, I'm not
talking about ANYONE in particular, yet again.

However Mat, once you cut your computer off, or close your news
client, all the bullshit goes away, correct? So, in the end, what a
select few says doesn't mean a whole helluva lot.

So, I guess what I'm saying here, is yes I can see the point. However,
I also believe that it's futile, and pretty ignorant itself to
complain about it.

Hey, atleast your honest. I respect that, ask Buse, I truly do.
Honesty is something that's lost in soceity today. Now it's all
politics, manipulations, and two-facing.

I share your anger with those as well.

Not at all. I just expected the worse. I apologize for the smarmy
comment, it truly wasn't meant to be a "baiting gesture", however, it
sure did come out as such when I read it again.

What I was basically saying, or trying to say, is that if you want to
be civil and leave the "retard" and "idiot" stuff out, I'd talk to you
till there was nothing left to talk about. However, if you replied
like I've seen from you, personally...then I've got nothing to say to
you.

Disappointed? Not hardly, your reply did a lot to change the
perception of yourself with me. However, you made it clear that didn't
matter above :)

Like I said, the rep I'm talking about has been around long before I
started posting here... People have a tendency to assume that someone
who's viewed as some sort of "name" by some _must_ let it go to his
head. If it were something so simple as "Man, that Mat guy's a
_dick,_" I could understand that. I can follow the logic behind
someone coming to the conclusion that I'm a dick. I can't follow the
logic behind someone coming to the conclusion that I bitch about my
e-w characters losing matches, or that I strongarm fed heads into
doing my bidding... The evidence just isn't there...

For example, In the IIWF, in the early days, they used to keep track
of win/loss records... Both Claw and James used to have records
hovering around 50%-60%... And these were pseudo-main event guys...
When I asked Dan about it, he explained to me that I was one of the
only handlers that didn't bitch and moan when his characters lost, so
it was easier to have my guys lose more often. Now... That sucks.
That's an absolutely shitty thing to do, as far as I'm concerned...
But... My angles got pushed (this is the early days, of course), and
my characters did more or less have a place on top of the fed...

My main concern, to be honest, was that Dan was taking his fed's
champ, Casey James, and having him job to everyone in sight, only
keeping the title through screwjob... I believe one of the few wins
Casey had at the time was against an actual jobber... Yes, the World
Champ was booked to fight a jobber on one of the shows, because Dan
couldn't figure out who he could convince to lose... My concern,
though, was that it was cheapening the title... The screwjob wins were
great for my character, as he was a heel... I've always put the
concerns of the fed over my characters...

That's evidence... That's truth... When people use evidence to come to
conclusions, I'm happy. When they just make up wild stories to cover
for their petty little jealousy, though, that's when I get annoyed.

Perhaps the person took something that wasn't an opinion and stated it
as such. I've been known to argue that point many, many times.

I have, and I'm quite aware that I will. I know that the majority of
the world's population consists of stubborn, thick headed idiots. I
see it every day. Just because the enemy is legion, doesn't mean I'm
going to give up the fight. Futile? maybe... I'd rather fight a futile
fight than accept conditions that are unacceptable.

Well, to be honest, looking outside the window, right now, right here,
it's not. But that's another matter... I can see what you're saying
happening, though... But I can see it happening in a not-quite-serious
manner... This isn't the first time that someone's told me I'd argue
if someone said the sky was blue. I wouldn't, though, argue that water
is wet.

I don't expect people to abandon belief... I do, however, expect them
to listen to and consider the beliefs of others. Perhaps even respect
those beliefs... Although I know that's asking for a lot these days.
God, afterlife, karma, whatever... It's all moral code, when it comes
down to it... I really don't give a shit what you call your boogeyman.
The problem arises, though, when some ignorant asshole comes around
and claims that his belief is the only right one, and that others
should be punished and/or killed for not sharing it. Look up Jase's
rants on abortion... This is what he did. He implied that the
"heathens" of the world will one day be punished for their disbelief
in his god. This is unacceptable to me. It's ignorant, and downright
offensive.

Actually... Maybe you live in a better world than I do, but when I
turn off the computer, there's still bullshit on the TV. When I turn
off the TV, there's still bullshit on the radio. When I turn off the
radio, there's still bullshit outside... I've yet to find the switch
that turns off the world.

>So, I guess what I'm saying here, is yes I can see the point. However,

That's where I disagree... Futile, yeah, but not ignorant... In my
time, I've actually changed the way people think about things... I've
opened their eyes... It's not a lot of people, but to me, it's enough.
Any time I can cause someone to stop accepting the bullshit they're
being spoonfed and open their eyes to reality, I'm happy.

nah, I disagree Mat... i never felt the title was really cheapened...
although I would have liked to seen one or two screwjob wins... just to
say he could actually _win_ as the champ... Other than that, I had no
probs with Casey doing htat little "lose all the time story"

Well, that's a good thing, I guess... That the perception I was
worried about didn't happen. And for that, I'm glad. Still, though,
that was what I was feeling at the time...
