Since there was an NHL post a couple days earlier, I thought I'd take the time
to inform all of you NBA Playoffs viewers that the Los Angeles Lakers will be
taking the NBA Championship this year.

No, I am not a bandwagon fan, considering I was born in Los Angeles and the
fact that the Los Angeles Clippers are an embarrasment to basketball.

The Lakers cannot be stopped. The Sacremento Kings were good at home, but Vlade
Divac and all of his over-selling could not get the job done against the best
NBA dynasty since the Chicago Bulls.

I think Phil Jackson should have been the coach of the year for turning a
chemistry-lacking team filled with huge egos into NBA Champions. After this
year, Phil Jackson will have seven championship rings. And I have no doubt that
if the core of this team--Rice, Harper, O'Neal, Bryant--can stay together for
another couple of years, they will be repeating and three-peating.

I refuse to hesitate in calling this team a dynasty--because that's what they
are. This team is a machine that will roll through the Phoenix Suns, Portland
Trailblazers, and the Indiana Pacers (although I'd _love_ to see a New York/Los
Angeles championship series due to the symbolism of this game), or whoever
makes it from the Leastern Conference.

Okay, I am through with the shilling (is that what that word means, Joe?) of
the Los Angeles Lakers and their all but wrapped up NBA Championship. Have a
good day.
