Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd make a few remarks about the I-Crown now while it's still a
hot topic.

The first thing is regarding the dedication of Fletch, THE guy who ran this
thing. The man wrote 9 matches in one week. Many of these were excellent
quality matches. I don't know anybody else who can claim that. Hell, I wrote
8 flashes last week, and I never want to type anything from Derek Mota for the
next two months, dammit! Another key thing... the card was out on time. Well
okay, it was about 8 hours late. But hell, you remember the last big event
held, it came out about 2 weeks late. You know which one I'm talking about
(right Ronnie?).

Here's me story... I was sitting down in front of the computer halfway through
the finals round and still hadn't RP'd for this event. I bonked myself in the
head, knowing that if I didn't come out with something SOON, I would be in
jobber city. And after going that way in the Garneau Plate, I decided that
Mota would TRY to win it.

So to get motivated and to make sure I RP'd for every possible show, I told a
story. Each flash, each match worked their way through this story. My goal
was to make people want to read Mota's matches. And I think I succeeded
there.

Kudos to King Apples for _stealing_ my idea. ;) But buddy, I went a step
farther by having Mota job out in his first round match. Hehe.

To Akuma's handler... yeah, I made some comments about you not sounding a
genuine Japanese... and I still believe them. But you did a helluva job with
the character anyways. That Makudonald's thing cracked me up. This guy has
lots of potential.

Marty Warnett... woulda loved to meet ya. Didn't happen. Ah well, there's
always IIWF Forever... :) Titanic flash got me LOL.

Of course... "Bullywug". Great guy, great character. What else can I say? I
got nervous when I found out that Hudson was in the finals... and lucky that
Mota beat him. He's one of the top guys around.

Who else? The French guy (but for some reason Mota was stuck in Italy.
Doh!), that cheesy butt-rubbin' Mexican Pulga dude that we all love so much,
and the vampire from Romania without fangs. Poor Wuzho... we really pestered
him with that one... hehe.

Had a great time. I'll be there next year to defend Mota's title. Until
then... MOTA'S THE BEST IN THE WORLD! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! :)

Until the next,

mota...@my-dejanews.com concocted the following diatribe
<6po7ms$s0t$1...@nnrp1.dejanews.com>...

The I-Crown did make for a good read, Ian.

I'm just PO'd the ol' Jackster was laid up with (oh, what was the reason,
Alex....ah, that's it) bronchitis (or that's what the press release said).
If Fletch ever got the gumption to pull off something of that magnitude next
year, well, I've got it on good authority from Eddy that he'd be more than
happy to do it again.

Of course, that might just be the liquor talking. ;0)

The_Fletch earned my respect. I was pretty damn impressed that the I-Crown
came out on time, too.

[Wink in Ronnie D's direction.]

And Ian....that's a heckuva list o' credentials ya got there, fireballer.

That might be the liquor talking, too. Been hangin' 'round the pancake man
way_too_long.

And, with my most sincere and humblest apologies to the wonderful ESPN
network and their excellent commercials....

"Old school like Jackie Robinson..."

"Old school like Len Bias....."

"Old school like Joe Louis...."

"Old school like James Braddock..."

"Old school like Tommy Hearns...."

"Old school like Dan f'n Kauffman!"

.....well, the unflamable SCRA equivalent of Old School, with all due
"apologies" to Mark Cutter

I don't post much, well actually, I've never posted here. But the I-Crown
has really got me going. Fletch did a damn good job. He really poured
everything into getting the card out. I'm glad to be going into G-Pro
knowing that the president will give an all out effort.

I have to give it to you Ian, you really did an amazing job. I noticed that
you didn't really get into the rping until about 3 chances left. What you
came out with was incredible. The whole thing with Mota getting out of the
battle royal and jobbing in your first match was ingenious. I just have to
say that it was great being involved with you.

Yeah, I understand what you are talking about. That has always been on my
mind. When I first came out with him, my concept was not to have a Japanese
wrestler but a wrestler that just happened to be from Japan. I didn't want
to make him your stereotypical type of Japanese guy. I try to put a little
in here and there. I'm not trying to offend anyone who handles a Japanese
wrestler but I didn't want to sound to pretentious with all the Japanese
phrases. But enough with myself. Thanks for the compliment, I'm still
trying to work my way up the ladder.

>Marty Warnett... woulda loved to meet ya. Didn't happen. Ah well, there's

Great stuff from him too. Those flashes were hilarious. Loved the World Cup
one as well as the Titanic rp.

Same here. Great combination of humour and just straight up meaningful type
of material.

I'm still waiting for Wuzho vs. Akuma. Maybe you'll come down to G-Pro and
we can handle it.

Next year it's mine.

Now _Here_ is something I'll agree 100% with! In Wug Gareth has managed to
create my _all-time_ favourite e-wrestling character. There is _no_ doubt
in my mind that this guy deserves a number 1 spot in just about every poll
out there (except for the worst wrestler poll and worst gimmick poll of
course :-). I've had the pleasure of seeing Glen Hudson in action in the
GIWF (the original GIWF, the one run by Mark Stritar) before it closed
down, and from that time and onwards I've been a Wug fan forever. :-)

And I'm real happy to find out that I'll apparently have the pleasure of
seeing Gareth do his thing in Roger Stilwell's GPWA too in the future. A
fed with Wug is always a fun place, even if it should mean getting yer
posterior handed to ya.

Gareth, what can I say? You're my _idol_ man. ;-) ;-) ;-) We're not
worthy! We're not
worthy! ;-) And I hope Wug and Jackson will cross paths sometime in the
GPWA... Never happened in the GIWF, but hey, maybe this time around. :-)

Whoa.. I'm not sure what to say, so "thanks" will have to do (-: I knew a
few people kinda liked the character back in the GIWF, but I.. I.. had no
idea (-:

I couldn't stay away from my roots for much longer now, could I? I mean,
_something_ has to heal those emotional #e-wrestling wounds (-;

Actually, I'm looking forward to serving myself an extra-large helping of
fun.. and it's going to be an unusual change to be among the majority
again after too damn long.

Hmm.. now i'm worried.. Has Roger actually gone ahead and scheduled the
match without telling me? (-; Looks like I'll be needing a late night
for brainstorming sooner or later. "Run around 'til Justice Jackson dies of
thirst" might not be enough (-:

Thanks again, Steinar

You know what I find rather odd about this. I'm the one who asked Gareth if
Wug could fill in on that cage match with Emerald and Robinson taking on the
Army. Roger S. liked the idea. However, back in an old time fed, I remember a
certain girl with real flare and one hell of a dangerous combo. The master of
the low blow and DDT. Gee, to think that Gareth and Steinar know each other
and me and Steinar were in the old OWA. Kinda makes you wanna go hmmmm...

BTW, it's 4:30am and I've had no beer. :)

It's a small world isn't it? What was really shocking about the whole
situation is that it tied so perfectly into the GPWA's history (The
Wug/Violent Librarian feud over the ICBINR Cruiserweight Title). When Roger
D. asked if Wug could be a Mystery Partner I was ecstatic because of how
well it all tied together.

Oh well, I'm just glad to have all of you in my fed. I've seen what all of
you can do and I'm damn happy to have all of you in the GPWA, I hope that
all of you have a long stay there.
