Jason "The Bandit" Blake & "Electric" Amy Sparks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The scene is set in a small Seattle cafe. Jason Blake and Amy Sparks are
sitting at a table across from each other, holding hands. From out of the
picture, Gregory Hollinsworth walks up to the table, and Jason motions him
to sit down. Greg pulls a mic out of his pocket.)
Greg - Thanks for giving me the time to do this Jason.
Jason Blake - The pleasure is all mine. I'm glad you could make it. Amy
and I have a few things that I guess we need to get off our chests.
Greg - Good. So how do you feel now that your match with Killer Buddha is
only a few days away?
Jason Blake - Well I am quite well prepared for this one. I have taken all
the precautionary steps to be sure that Threat isn't a factor in this match.
Greg - And what are these precautionary steps?
Jason Blake - I guess you could say I have taken out an insurance policy
that will protect me from any interference.
Greg - Are there some stipulations that we don't know about yet?
Jason Blake - It could be, but it may not be. I don't want to let my
surprise out too soon. I'll just tease them a little bit more. I want to
see if they make the fatal mistake of coming down to ringside during my
match.
Greg - Does this apply to only Threat?
Jason Blake - No, this applies to anyone who wants to spoil my match. I am
going to keep this title by pinning Killer Butter in the middle of the ring.
(Jason and Amy begin to chuckle at the joke.) He's going to get Blindsided
like he's never experienced.
Greg - What about the comments that Tom Knight and Killer Buddha have made
in regards to your involvement with Threat?
Jason Blake - Well first of all, Knight is just trying to cover his tracks
and make himself out to be the good guy in this and make me look like the
one at fault. And as for Killer Buddha, he is just trying to kiss Knight's
ass so he can get a title shot. He doesn't seem to understand that he
wouldn't be getting a shot at my title unless I wanted him to. He should be
worshipping the ground that I walk on, not biting the hand that feeds him.
I am easily the hottest new commodity in the NAWC, and Buddha isn't going to
beat me. He actually thinks that his so called advantage of 217 pounds is
going to make a difference. I mean the guy is almost twice my weight, he'll
be lucky to get a hand on me inside that ring. But a word of warning, he
should concentrate less on kissing Tom Knight's Championship ass, and more
on trying to beat me. If he was as good at wrestling as he
was at making insults, he'd be unbeatable. Unfortunately tossing insults is
all he can do.
Greg - So what about the rumours that you're joining Threat? They seem to
have increased since your match with Tom Knight.
Jason Blake - Let me put it this way for you. If I join the Threat, it's
because I know that they are worth having me. I won't align myself with a
bunch of losers, and honestly, they really haven't proven what they can do
to warrant me joining them yet. But I won't rule out that possibility. If
Knight decides to be any more of a whiner, I may enjoy crippling him.
Greg - but I thought you were thinking that he was joining them?
Jason Blake - Well I realized that he doesn't have the balls to make a move
like that. He is one of those loners who has to be adored by people. He is
the type of man who would help old ladies across the street and kiss
babies, just so people will like him. He's attention starved and he's got
no balls. But he'll get what's coming to him. I've learned that it's
always good to keep my options open, and that's just what I'm doing. I just
have to wait for my opening.
Greg - Well I don't know about your train of thought, but I feel you may be
making a mistake if you seriously consider joining Threat.
Jason Blake - I didn't ask for your opinions, so just carry on with this
damn interview.
Greg - Sorry. So Amy, you have to face Hellfire on Friday. How are you
looking at this debut of yours?
Amy Sparks - Well she is tough, I can say that much, but I am going to do
what Jason here did, and prove that I in fact am a top talent, and I will
earn my shot at the Women's title.
Greg - What do you think of her taking on Vampire de Mate at March Mayhem?
Amy Sparks - I just hope he doesn't cripple her. I've never seen him
wrestle, and she does outweigh him, so it could be interesting. But I'd
rather focus more on my matches than others. I'm sure she's worried about
that match and it'll affect her performance in the ring against me on
Friday.
Greg - And what is your take on the whole Blake/Knight situation?
Amy Sparks - Well I personally don't want to get involved in it. I think
Threat is just trying to divide and conquer, but Jason doesn't want to
believe it. I just hope he makes the right decision, that's all. Tom is a
good guy and I don't think he's do that to Jason. But then again I may be
wrong. I guess only time will tell. I just hope everything works out for
the best.
Greg - How do you think Guinivere is handling this new rivalry?
Amy - I'm sure she feels the same way as me. Tom and Jason were the best of
friends before, but it seems the gold has gotten to their heads finally.
But I can't read minds so I really don't know exactly how she feels.
Greg - Well I'd like to thank both of you for your time, and I wish you both
the best of luck on Friday.
Jason Blake - Won't be any luck needed for me. Killer Buddha will see what
it's like to get Blindsided!!
(Gregory Hollinsworth gets up from his chair and leaves the cafe. Jason and
Amy go back to holding hands as the screen fades to black.)
Claw Richens
-------------------
Claw : Where are we going?
[Scene opens in a moving car. Claw has his hands over his eyes, and a look
of impatience on his face. Outside through the windows, trees and clouds
zoom by on the open countryside. He shivers slightly, and the driver, 19
year old Vanessa Green notices and turns the heat up just a touch. The 1990
Ford Tempo continues to drive to a destination unknown to Claw.]
Vanessa : You'll find out soon enough!
[Nessa laughs briefly at the impatience of her rider, and continues to
drive.]
Vanessa : I think you'll be surprised.
Claw : I won't be able to be surprised if we never get there. How far away
is it? I'm getting tired of holding my hands over my eyes.
Vanessa : Oh, we're almost there. Stop bitching, Claw.
[Claws ears peer up after he hears her. Thinking back, he can't ever
remember a time when she used the word 'bitch.' He makes a mental note of
it and sits back in the car.]
Claw : You do realize that you're going to have to drive me back to the
cemetery to let me pick up my car, don't you?
Vanessa : I know. But this is more important than that.
Claw : (thinking) My unlocked door and helpless discman on the passenger
seat might beg to differ.
[The two continue in the Alaskan afternoon for another 5 minutes or so
without much idle conversation. Finally Claw feels the car begin to slow
down and come to a stop. The engine stops, and he hears Vanessa take off
her seat belt.]
Claw : Can I open my eyes now?
Vanessa : Yes.
[Claw removes his hands covering his eyes. He looks out the windshield to
see...]
Claw : Oh.... my god.
[...the town below him. The city of Anchorage lay before them over the
cliff like a miniature model. Claw looks to the left and sees a huge oak
tree, and to the right to see a large rock protruding from the ground.]
Claw : How.... did you know?
Vanessa : We were sisters? She told me everything.
/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\
/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\
[Scene opens 3 years earlier. Claw, age 23, sits under a large oak tree. A
female sits between his open legs, back to belly, and Claw is giving her a
neck rub. She has long flowing brown hair and deep green eyes. Claw seems
content. He is wearing a white sweater and khaki pants. She has a smile on
her face, as does Claw.]
Desire Green : I love it here.
Claw : Yes, I do too. It's so peaceful.
[Claw looks over to the cliff and sees the city below.]
Claw : Hey, I think I can see your house from here!
Desire Green : [laughing gently] You don't say? Where did you find this
place anyway? It seems so 'in the middle of nowhere.'
Claw : That's why I like it. I found it looking for berries one day. 14
years in a bear cave gives you a long time to explore. I used to come up
here every so often to pick berries from that bush over there. And I used
that huge rock over there to beat out my bear skins.
Desire Green : You're so resourceful! [She turns around and gives him a
quick kiss on the lips.]
Claw : I know. [broad smile.] Hey, did you hear about what Ron's doin?
Desire Green : Something about pro wrestling. I heard him babbling for a
few hours yesterday, yeah. Jesus, he wouldn't shut up.
Claw : Yeah! That's so cool! I was watching some wrestling show on TV a
few weeks ago, and ya know, with some working out, I could do that stuff!
Desire Green : [she turns around to look at him, somewhat bewildered] Not
you too? Claw, that's nonsense.
Claw : Why?
Desire Green : You're not a pro wrestler, you're a bear wrestler. Why try
something else when you've got a proven formula? You win a few more of
those bear wrestling tournaments up here, and you've got yourself a living
made out for the next 10 years! Why risk it?
Claw : Pro wrestlers are paid twice as much as bear wrestlers are! Bear
wrestling isn't a profession, Des! It's something you do on the side!
Desire Green : I don't care if our dumbass friend wants to do it, but I
don't wanna see you getting hurt!
Claw : Des, look. I'll have a lesser chance of getting hurt pro wrestling
than I have bear wrestling.
Desire Green : Not true. You've been bear wrestling you're entire life.
You're probably the worlds leading authority on it. You're jumping into a
whole other pool here, Claw.
Claw : What are you saying?
Desire Green : [her eyes become distant.] Nothing... I just don't think
it's a good idea. But it's your life.
Claw : Des, I value your opinion... but I think it's something I could
really be good at. I've been training with Ron---
Desire Green : Geez, you've really thought this out--
Claw : ---and I have an interview---
Desire Green : --when were you planning on telling me?
Claw : ---tomorrow with a guy from the Northwest Wrestling Association! I
was gonna tell you!
Desire Green : After you were laid out in the hospital cause you're dumbass
opponent dropped you on your head the wrong way?
Claw : You're worrying too much!
Desire Green : I know... I just love you is all... and I'd be devastated if
something happened to you.
Claw : Ron's coming too. Personally, I think he'll get in before I will, so
you should be worried for him too.
Desire : I'm worried for both of you, but Ron's just a friend... you're so
much more to me.
Claw : [kisses her on the lips passionately.] Nothing will happen to me, I
promise...
Desire : [falls back on the grass, and Claw lands on top of her.] You better
promise.
/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\
/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\/*\
Claw : That was 3 years ago.
Vanessa Green : And the next day, you went into that office, and you got the
job that changed your life. Made you into what you are.
Claw : Seems like decades ago. And then, a year later, Des married Ron.
Vanessa : But you know she wanted to marry you. And she wanted YOU to
succeed.
Claw : And they're both gone now.
Vanessa : Don't you think that Des would want you to win this weekend?
Haven't you thought for just minute that maybe you owe this to her!
Claw : ....
Vanessa : Claw, it's not your fault she killed herself. She only wanted you
to be happy. And she only wanted you to be successful.
Claw : I owe it to her.
Vanessa : You're damn right you do! So now will you go see Sammy and train
for god's sake!
[Scene fades.]
-=-=-=-=-
[Scene reopens in the dark of night. The night is still, and in the
cemetery a haze begins to rise out of the moisture on the ground. The
camera pans around to the various tombstones, and comes to one with a figure
kneeling down in front of it. Upon closer inspection, the tombstone reads :
"DESIRE ALTHEA GREEN"
[The figure stands up.]
Claw : It's been too long, Des. It's been too long since I've seen you.
But I guarantee you that it hasn't been long since I've thought about you.
The night you came to me and told me that Ron was beating you... the day
that I confronted him.... that seems like years ago, but in fact it was less
than a year ago. Ever since your death, I haven't been able to perform in
the ring like I once could. For months upon months I was one of the
greatest hardcore champions to ever grace this part of the country... and
then you left me, and it all fell apart. I won the World Title in "that
other fed" but to be honest, it was an empty victory. It didn't mean
anything. And Des, this is the first match I've fought since your death
that's meant anything to me.
[Claw puts his hand on the tombstone.]
Claw : When I fight Long this weekend, Des, I'm doing it for you. And I
know that that's all I need to win this match.
[Scene fades.]
Donovan Moore
----------------------
(A slight rain mist collects against the glass. A small hand touches the
window as the camera pans back to reveal a child about 8 or 9 pressing his
hand against the window trying to touch the rain. A woman in her early 30's
pulls him back and smacks his hand. Standing nearby is Donovan Moore, he's
dressed in a faded blue jeans and a blue-gray sweater with a hood. He
stares out the window and it becomes apparent that he's in the Space Needle,
one of Seattle's main attractions. The young child points out the window
and looks to his mother.)
Child: What's that mountain momma?
(The woman looks out the window at the huge mountain in the distant Seattle
skyline.)
Woman: Oh, I don't know sweetheart, it might be Mt. McKinley, the tallest
mountain in the world.
(Moore steps forward a bit and speaks.)
Donovan Moore: Actually, that's Mt. Rainier, the tallest mountain in the
Cascades.
(The woman looks at Moore and smiles as she picks up her child.)
Woman: Thank you sir, you must be local.
DM: Just passing through actually.
(Before their conversation can continue, Denise approaches from behind
wearing black pants and a brown jacket zipped up. She has on a white
turtleneck underneath. )
Denise: Who was that?
DM: Just another tourist. Where have you been?
Denise: Over by the souvenir stand, I can't believe that don't sell little
decks of playing cards.
DM: Well, your mom will have to go without cards from the Space Needle.
Denise: Yeah, I guess so. (Pauses). I saw a food stand on the other side,
you want anything?
DM: Diet Coke
(Denise walks off and disappears around a corner. Moore continues to stroll
around the viewing area. The rain mist has turned to a steady drizzle. He
stops and looks out the now distorted window.)
DM: It isn't often I get the time to stop and see the sights of a particular
city, but Seattle is one of those special places that you just have to spend
time in. Sure I could have stayed back in Tallahassee and fly here at the
last minute, but I'm not concerned about where I've been, but where I'm
going. By the way things have been going for me, I'm heading into the
stratosphere of the NAWC. Not only am I the NAWC Lightweight Champion, but
I have my greatest opportunity to date and become the Intercontinental
Champion as well. In my way, a man many consider a legend in this fed,
Thane Sloan. (Moore pauses and puts his hands in his sweatshirt pockets.)
Thane, you were at the top of your game when I debuted here a little over 2
months ago and since then, you've gone from World Champion to winning the IC
Belt with a lot of help from Speedy Irons. Where'd it all go wrong Thane?
When did you start relying on guys like Speedy Irons to win titles for you
when you have the ability to do it yourself? It reminds me of the time I
was 16 and wrestling for the Amateur Championship of Florida. I was facing
a true legend, Jack Eyles, he won this event 4 straight times and 10
overall. Here I was a 16-year-old nobody from some backroom ring facing
him. Al was coaching me and I had him on score 2-1 going into the final
round. As time was winding down, I had him in standing switch and he couldn
't escape. His coach distracted the referee's attention and he caught me
flush with an elbow in the cheekbone. I dropped to the mat and he covered
me for the pin. Al nearly attacked the referee for not seeing it, but I
lost nonetheless. Long after everyone went home, I was sitting on the
bleachers with an icepack on my face, but my heart hurt more.
(Moore pauses again and runs his fingers through his light brownish hair.
He puts his head down and continues to talk.)
DM: It wasn't the loss that hurt me as much as how I lost.a cheap shot that
only desperate men do when they have no other recourse. Maybe you've
reached that point Thane, you have no other recourse than to rely on a cheap
shot here or there to get yourself by. It's no secret that I hate that type
of behavior and on Friday, you'll have to use your ability to get by me.
There will be no cheap shot elbow or lead pipe to the back of the head this
time around. Unlike Jack, Thane, you can't keep relying on just getting by.
You'll be no better than Rick Stevens.
(Denise returns with Diet Coke for Moore and has a pretzel and Sprite for
herself.)
Denise: Heard you mentioning Stevens. I hope you know you can't take on the
World by yourself.
DM: I know that, but if I take it out piece by piece, I can do it. It
started with Brimstone and continues with Thane Sloan and then to Rick
Stevens, who epitomizes the essence of what disgusts me. He's a man that is
10 times worse than Thane could ever be. I've been watching you Stevens and
your actions against Tom Knight more than make me sick. Once I'm done with
Thane Sloan, you are next on my list. I don't know when you will learn, but
you just snapped the straw that broke the camel's back. This fed won't be
dictated by you anymore, I don't fear you and why Adrian Palmer hasn't fired
you yet is beyond me. Rest assured that if you try anything on Friday
Night, you'll find Donovan Moore putting an end to your plan.
(Moore takes a couple sips of his Diet Coke and looks out the window again
at Mt. Rainier.)
DM: That mountain has stood the test of time for millenniums and it hasn't
budged, don't expect me to either. Thane, just like the rest of my
opponents, you get my respect, but nothing else. You, Rick Stevens, Jack
Eyles, Rio D. Giniro, and whoever else decides that cheating is the only way
to get by will find me right in their face. You may not know me, I may not
know you, but when I'm through, the one thing I will do is make.you.better.
(Scene fades to Moore and Denise watching the sun set behind the Seattle
Skyline.)
Hellfire
----------
[In the middle of a NAWC house show, the lights go out and silence takes
over the arena. The jumbotron shows the picture of a city. It is a foggy
night yet the stars can be seen very clearly. The people can not tell where
it is located in the world but as soon as they see the gothicly dressed
people walking into the nightclub on this street. This is known as Hell On
Earth. The nightclub which is owned by the NAWC's Hellfire and Brimstone.
The outside picture fades out and the inside of the club fades in. The music
is at an ear splitting level. The camera zooms up towards the mirror-window
at the top of the club which lets Hellfire, Brimstone, and whomever they
choose to join them look at the masses dancing. The next fade in is the
actual VIP room itself. Hellfire is sitting alone in the dark with her back
turned away from the camera. She turns the chair around, faces the camera,
and begins to speak.]
"Vampire De Mate, this is not about you for once. This is about me. Why
would you even think about trying to steal the spotlight again? Not very
many people know of our past together and is better left that way for now.
Mainly because I have a goal. It is to become the NAWC Women's Heavyweight
champion. And on the way to that goal I have only one obstacle left. And it
comes in the form of "Electric" Amy Sparks. Amy, if for one single second,
you thought that you had any type of chance of even coming close to
defeating me, you were wrong. Plain and Simple. Consider this your last few
days of peace before you go STRAIGHT TO HELL care of the Inferno. Now I am a
very busy business woman so get the hell out of here before I throw you
out..... of this window! Amy, you little bitch, your ass is mine! Hell on
Earth will be felt soon, very, very, soon. I promise."
[The picture fades out from the jumbotron and the next match's first
participant walks out as the show continues as usual.]
Brimstone
--------------
[The scene opens up to a picture of a factory. The picture quickly zooms
into the building. It then can be determined to be a steel fence factory.
But there is something wrong with it. It is completely empty. But all of the
fence that can be seen is freshly made. There is a movement that is heard.
The camera turns around quickly and Brimstone is hovering over the
cameraman. Brimstone motions for the man to follow him.]
"This factory was abandoned a few years ago because of some type of health
violation it had. But I see nothing wrong with it. Just a little dirty. It
never hurt anyone."
[The cameraman and Brimstone are now walking down a hallway. When they get
to end of the long narrow hallway, they come across a set of doors. When
Brimstone opens them, the camera pans back to show a cage made of the old
fencing.]
"This is what I like to call my masterpiece. I made it myself, along with
Hellfire. We both need it. It makes a great training for training in order
to get a high thresh hold of pain. Look at these marks here."
[He grabs the camera and zooms it in to view a spot of blood. He gives it
back to the cameraman.]
"That is blood I shed in my off time. Claw, when you suspended me for a
while, it did nothing but help me. Adrian, thank you for signing me into
this match. I need this to get out the aggression I have building up inside
of me. Many people have crossed me. Miller and Vampire De Mate for chose a
few. Now I take those feelings out on the unlucky Dynamite Derrick. Derrick
it doesn't matter what you try, "[Brimstone walks into the cage and locks it
behind him], "I will get back up and just kick your ass that much more.
Friday will be a night that lives in infamy as the night that Brimstone and
Dynamite Derrick beat the living hell out of each other and the night that
we put all other Hell in a Cells to shame. Derrick I am not afraid to do
anything. I will do anything and everything that it takes to win and get a
shot at the NAWC TV title. I will take you to hell and back along with me. I
promise one thing, we will never be the same again after Friday. Me or you.
The change will be good for some and horrific for others. Derrick, this
Friday, you will go STRAIGHT TO HELL!"
[The scene fades out and NAWC programming goes to commercial.]
Speedy Irons
------------------
_ _
_\SPEEDY IRON_\
==============
*An NAWC Camera is focused on a hotelroom door, the tag reads 134. Orlando
Palla knocks on the door.*
Voice (from a far yell): "Yeah, it's open!"
*Orlando opens the door and enters the room. It's a sober, but comfortable
room. On the right is a mini-bar, behind the mini-bar is another door, on
the left is the bed and across the door is a window, left from the window is
a closet. On the bed is a black sportsbag. Suddenly the door of the toilet
opens, Speedy Irons comes out of it.*
Speedy: "Oh, it's you. I thought it was roomservice."
Orlando: "Can I have some thoughts, Mr. Irons?"
Speedy: "Sure, go ahead, Orlando! Make it quick, 'cause my fish-dish should
arrive any time."
Orlando: "Okay! You're here in Seattle to, once more, face The Green
Mountain Trooper."
Speedy: "That's right, Palla! This time it's the LAST encounter, no-matter
what the outcome is!"
Orlando: "It's a falls count anywhere hardcore match! Not exactly your kind
of match, I suppose?"
Speedy:"You're right about that. I've only had one HardCore match in my
career... against my own brother! However, making this match falls count
anywhere means I could leap off the NAWC Tron! So my high-flyin' doesn't
come in danger!"
Orlando: "What about Hans and Daddy Haggard?"
Speedy: "Well, Grampa and the Terrible Snowman can join the fray... but they
might end up under a coke-machine or something like that!!!"
Orlando: "Trooper stated that playing days are over and he'd seriously
damage you!"
Speedy: "Yeah, yeah! The Vermont PD-REJECT can shout all he wants! I've
beaten the ugly Trooper twice, here in Seattle I'll kick it in his hollow
head that I'm FAR more superior than him!!! Bottom-line is that when it's
all said and done, he receives another Iron Dropper and counts the lights as
the ref counts the ONE... TWO... THREE!!! And that, Orlando, is a
promise... 'cause I'm HOT and the Trooper is DEFINITELY NOT!!!"
*A female voice: "Roomservice!"*
Speedy: "Alright, my fish has arrived!"
*Speedy opens the door. A beautiful young woman enters with the fish-dish.*
Speedy (pushing Orlando and the cameraman out): "Sorry, Palla, your time's
up!"
Orlando: "But..."
*Screen fades out on a smiling Speedy Irons...*
Jason "The Bandit" Blake
------------------------------------
(The scene is set in a small meeting room. There are only three chairs and
a table in the room, and the chairs are occupied by Jason Blake, Amy Sparks,
and Sharon Roberts. Sharon has a small stack of papers in front of her.
She shuts the meeting room door, and looks directly at Jason.)
Sharon Roberts - So Jason, you seem to be making a few enemies here in NAWC.
Was this the reaction you expected?
Jason Blake - Of course not. But I guess with success comes jealousy from
others, and I have received my fair share of that. But I am prepared to
tackle this small step.
Sharon Roberts - What about your match tonight with Killer Buddha? Do you
have any special strategies in place for that?
Jason Blake - Of course I do. But the main focus is to keep my distance
from him. I don't want to get in a slugfest with him. I am a lot smarter
than him, and that should allow me to come out on top.
(A phone rings and Jason pulls his cell phone out of his jacket pocket.)
Jason Blake - Hello?
Voice - Hey Jason, how are you?
Jason Blake - Mother? Is that you?
Voice - Yes it is. I just woke up from my surgery. I hope you're doing all
right.
Jason Blake - I'm doing good, I just hope you'll be all right.
Voice - Of course I'll be fine. I've got that Blake family fighting spirit.
It's good to see you got it as well.
Jason Blake - Well I try. I'm just doing my best here. I've got a big
match tonight.
Voice - Well I know you'll win. You've got the heart in you. Mine just got
repaired, so it'll be a while before I beat up any 400 pounders. (laughs)
Jason Blake - I'm sure you'll be slamming people in no time. So the
hospital actually let you call all the way from Chicago?
Voice - But of course, although it'll cost you an autograph or two when you
get back for the staff here.
Jason Blake - Well I'm sure it can be arranged. So how long until you're
back home? I miss that gold old home cooking of yours.
Voice - Don't you worry. I'll be home in a few days. But just focus on
your match tonight. I just wanted to call to let you know that I'm all
right and there were no complications.
Jason Blake - Well I've been waiting a while to hear that. It's a big load
off my mind. A heart bypass isn't exactly something to not worry about.
Voice - I know that Jason, but I'm fine, and I want you to kick some butt
tonight for me.
Jason Blake - You bet mother.
Voice - Well you take care.
Jason Blake - I will. Bye
(Jason hangs up his phone and puts it back in his jacket. He once again
turns his attention back to Sharon Roberts.)
Sharon Roberts - Your mother is in the hospital?
Jason Blake - Yeah she is, but she's fine, and now Buddha is in big trouble.
Sharon Roberts - Why is that?
Jason Blake - Well now I have my full undivided attention on tonight.
Sharon Roberts - What about Threat? Aren't you worried about them in the
slightest?
Jason Blake - Not one bit. I said it once and I'll say it again. Threat
won't be a factor in mine or Amy's match tonight. I guess you can say my
guardian angel will be floating above me tonight.
Sharon Roberts - Well don't underestimate them. They are all very smart
individuals.
Jason Blake - Are you saying that I am not?
Sharon Roberts - Of course not. But you are outnumbered. You're fighting a
losing battle taking them on without Tom Knight at your side.
Jason Blake - I don't need that guy to help me. It'll just be a burden
protecting him. I'm a lot smarter than most people make me out to be.
There's going to be fireworks tonight, literally. And I'll still be the
NAWC TV champion. Plain and simple.
Sharon Roberts - Well thanks for your time Jason, and best of luck tonight.
Jason Blake - It's been my pleasure.
(Sharon Roberts gets up and leaves the room as the screen fades to a Friday
Night Fights ad.)
Long S. Tran
-----------------
*******RRRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!********
The crowd waits in anticipation as Long S. Tran walks towards the ring.
Claw Richens is already waiting for him in the squared circle. This is the
moment everyone has been waiting for.
Tran slowly enters the ring and scans the arena for a reaction. The pop he
receives is nothing short of deafening! He works the crowd for a bit, then
glances at his opponent in the other side of the ring. Claw flashes a grin
at Tran as both men step into the center of the ring.
The heat into this match is amazing! A lot of former NWWA fans paid to see
this card JUSt for this match! And now the moment of truth has arrived. It
is impossible to tell who the crowd is supporting, as both men's cheers are
equally as loud!
*DING!*
The bell rings as Claw and Tran both circle each other in the ring. The
match has started, and there is no turning back now.
Tran is the first to act. He lunges forward and is met with a drop toe-hold.
Somehow Claw manages to put on some armlocks, and somehow Tran ends up with
his shoulders on the mat. The referee dives to the mat...
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THREE!!!
*DING! DING! DING!*
Brent Jacobson:- The winner of this match... Claw Richens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Tran slowly gets up from the mat as the crowd starts to boo hysterically.
He has a confused look on his face as Claw looks at him with a disappointed
look.)
Claw:- Jimbo, Long, whatever you wanna call yourself. What happened?
Long:- Claw, no wait! I wasn't ready! I mean... I don't... What...?
Claw:- Stop making excuses... I won you lost. The better man won!
(Claw extends his hand to Long, who is still confused. The boos are getting
louder as rubbish fills the ring. Long goes to shake Claw's hand, and as he
does, Claw retracts it)
Claw:- Loooooooooooooooooser!!!! bwahahahahahaha!!!!
(Claw starts to laugh hysterically as a "Loser" chant fills the arena. Tran
is obviously disturbed by this as he tries to cover his ears)
Long:- No!!! I'm NOT a loser! NO!!!
(The arena and audience start to spin in Tran's head as he can't believe
what is coming out of Claw's mouth. A voice is heard as a young Asian man
steps into the ring. He is Tran's older cousin.)
Cousin:- Yes you are. Since we were little kids, you couldn't do anything
right! I was always better than you! Why couldn't you grow up to be more
like me? If you're gonna grow up to be a wrestler, at least put an effort in
to it!!!
Tran:- But... I tried... I don't know what happened... Claw... He just...
I didn't...
Cousin:- You just proved to everyone you're a failure.
(Another voice cuts in. It is Tran's mother)
Mother:- You have embarrassed me for the last time! I can't believe you
lost so quickly!!!
Tran:- Mother?
Mother:- I am ashamed to have you as my son. How the hell did a loser like
you come out of me???
Tran:- No mother... I did my best... I...
Mother:- (Real dramatic) I HAVE NO SON!!!
(A tear rolls down Tran's eyes as he walks towards his mother. From the
other side of the ring, another voice is heard. It is of a female)
Jeanette:- Yeah you're a loser! And to think I was THINKING about going out
with YOU!!! Lucky I chose a REAL man to go out with, or who knows how I
would have ended up!
Tran:- Jeanette?
Jeanette:- Yeah, it's me Long. I'm ashamed to have even known you! I used
to think you were cute. I used to defend you when everyone teased you, but
now I know WHY they made fun of you behind your back.
Tran:- My friends... They made fun of me???
Jeanette:- Yeah, and I don't blame them! LOOOOOOOOOOOSER!!!!!!!!!!!
(Then, as if all at once, all of Tran's friends from the past and present
fill the ring and join Claw in making fun of him. The sold out Key Arena
joins in with the "LOSER" chant. Tran doesn't know what to do. By now he is
openly crying, which makes everyone laugh even MORE!)
Tran:- No!!! (He covers his ears) NO!!! THIS ISN'T HAPPENING! THIS ISN'T
HAPPENING!!!!
-=-=-=-
*AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!*
The scream is heard echoing through the quiet corridors as Tran wakes up in
a cold sweat. He is breathing heavily, and his heartbeat is heard thumping
in the still of the night.
The "Loser" chant is still playing in his mind.
Tran:- *Sigh!* Just a dream...
(Tran slowly removes the blankets to get up when he feels something below
the waist. He quickly removes the covers to reveal a damp patch at his
crotch.)
Tran:- What the F...
Claw:- ...Far out man!! What a LOSER!!!!! Check this out man!!! Tran wet
his bed!!!!!!!!
(From out of nowhere, laughter is heard filling the room. Various NWWA stars
and members of Tran's family and friends all enter the room from seemingly
out of nowhere and crowd around him. They all speak at once and over each
other...)
"Hahaha... I can't believe I used to have a crush on him... I ain't stepping
in the ring with him... How old is he?... LOSER... bwahahahaha... I HAVE NO
SON... Hey, you have to wrestle a bed wetter this Friday... Hahahaha... "
The voices mock him, and the only thing he can do is just sit there and
watch as his friends laugh and point at his little "accident."
-=-=-=-=-
*AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Tran quickly sits up in a cold sweat (Yes, it's sweat not urine) once again
as his voice echoes through the dark, quiet corridors for the second time.
He quickly removes his covers and quickly runs his hands on the lower part
of his bed...
Tran:- *PHEW!* Dry.
Tran permits himself a smile as he once again falls back into bed. His eyes
are bloodshot and tired, yet he cannot sleep. His most important match in
the NAWC so far, and he can't sleep.
He lays motionless in the quietness. He is obviously thinking about his
match tonight, and whether or not all the training and practice he put into
this match will be wasted over a little simple miscalculation.
A few seconds pass, and the fatigue gets the better of him as his eyes
slowly close and he drifts off in a deep sleep. The deafening silence is
replaced by the calm breathing of a young wrestler.
Then, just like in the past week, the loud roar of an audience is heard
through Tran's ears again while he sleeps. He is obviously having another
dream about his much anticipated match with Claw. Will his previous dream
come true, or will he defeat the odds? Will a stupid mistake cost him the
match? He sees the worst in his dreams, and whether or not they come true
now lies on his ability to concentrate in the match. Camera slowly zooms out
of Tran sleeping in his room as the scene fades to black
Yet another outstanding packet. Great work everyone.
