Voice Over: Total Attack Puroresu, The War For Respect Is On, Fear Our
Violence...

[open cmaera shot]

[We are in a small training facility. Against one white wall is a
banner marking the kanji of the Steel Wind Dojo. In the center of the
room 6 speed bags have been set-up before a young man dressed in a red
gi. That man is Eiji Yatsu. Walking in from a door on the opposite
side of the room is a man dressed in red sweats. He wears a whistle
around his neck and is drenched in sweat. This man is Ryo Inoue. He
walks upto to Yatsu and gets right in his face]

Ryo Inoue: [sternly] You did well. I thought Kobe would finish you.
I was sure all that knowledge and training I poured into you was going
to go to waste. [Inoue pauses and smiles slyly] you proved me wrong.

[Yatsu cracks a slight smile]

Ryo Inoue: [sees the smile and snaps to immeadiate anger] DON'T SMILE!
WHAT GIVES THAT RIGHT? DID YOU BEAT HIM? DID YOU CHOKE OUT THAT
WORTHLESS IRON CHEF? WELL DID YOU?

Eiji Yatsu: [softly, yet with resolve] No

Ryo Inoue: [lowering his voice to a menacing whisper] No, that's
right, you didn't. But that' ok. Neither of us could have forseen
Kobe going Strong Style on you and all things considered you adjusted
well. But I'm warning you Yatsu-kun, DO NOT GET COCKY! Billy
Fairchild is next. If you underestimate I promise you that you will
lose. [Inoue takes a deep breath] Let us begin the training.
STANCE!!

[Ryo steps aside as Yatsu takes his fighting stance]

Ryo Inoue: KOBE!

[Yatsu unleashes a stiff kick on the first speed bag. He stars to brin
his kicking leg down]

Ryo Inoue: FAIRCHILD!

[As Yatsu's leg hits the mat he spins his body around and strikes the
second speed bag with a wicked uraken]

Ryo Inoue: KATHAKANO!

[Yatsu finds himself exposed as his back is ot the next bag. He
quickly snaps a rear elbow strike on the speed bag as a reflex and
quickly turns to face the next bag]

Ryo Inoue: TASOGARE NO PRINCE!

[Yatsu unleashe a sick straight punch on the bag]

Ryo Inoue: No! NO! NO! [he walks in front of Yatsu and grabs the still
outstretched punching arm] That is wrong! WRONG! You overextended
your reach! There was motion but no snap. YOU MUST THROW WITH FORCE
AND SNAP THE PUNCH!

Yatsu: But...

Ryo Inoue: NO! There is no but! You snap the punch to stun the
opponent to set up the knee strike or leg shoot. How many times must
we do this before you get it right? Did that fluke over Shoji Suzuki
make you forget your basic kata? Is this how you expect to fight
Fairchild? If it is you might as well not show up and hand th at Pan
Asia title to Kobe! TO KOBE! EVEN HE CAN DO THIS BASIC KATA! NO DO IT
AGAIN!

[Yatsu returns to the first bag, Inoue stands there watching intently
as his protege begins again]

[fade out]

----

[Fade into the hotel room of one Christopher Kojima.
The Asian-American wrestler is currently on the
phone.]

CK: Yeah, exactly. Of course. Did the presents get
there? Cool. OK. Hey, the cameras are in the room,
gotta' cut a promo. Love ya'.

[He hangs up the phone and turns to the camera.]

CK: Quite the week I have coming up. A shooter,
German, rookie, and Hart. Let's go down the list,
shall we?

[Pause.]

CK: First, Eiji Yatsu. The Shooter. The man who says
he will destroy the Junior Division. Well, Eiji.
You're gonig to have a small problem with that. I'm no
Junior. I never will be. You see, I don't care if you
like being in shoot fights more than in the JPA.
However, don't bitch and whine about how TAP is so
much greater. If it's so great, have your career
there. Then again, you probably want to get paid, so
that's why you stay here.

[Pause.]

CK: Then there's Jaeger. This German wrecking machine.
Jaeger, at the last supershow before our break, I
admit, you destroyed me. But that was then, this is
now. I've been in training, Gustav. I won't be a new
toy to break apart this time bud.

[Pause.]

CK: Red Tiger. I know little about you. When I kick
your ass, I'll proably know little more.

[Pause.]

CK: Corey Hart. The Original American Jackass. Hart, I
don't like you. You're the ebodiment of America I
hate. The pretty-boy high-flyer I hoped would get
thrown to the earth when I watching NWA TV. You
probably don't like me. But Corey, you can't back up
what you say. I can.

[Fade to Black]

----

[The screen fades into a black screen. The letters “T.A.P.” appear.]

Voice Over: The war for respect is on. Victory will be ours.

[Suddenly it cuts to a view outside the T.A.P. dressing room after the

Yatsu/Kobe match. The door is half-open and yells can be heard coming
from
inside. One of the many reporters outside the dressing room knocks,
which
pushes the door all the way open. Yatsu, not noticing, picks up a
chair a
throws it at the wall, startling the young T.A.P./Steel Wind Dojo
trainees.
A look of anger covers Inoue’s face, but Yatsu’s is more of
frustration.
Kangyo is sitting in a chair across the room seemingly docile. Yatsu
finally sees the camera and the reporters and some anger does come to
him.
Eiji comes to the door, holding onto the wall to support himself,
obviously
fairly exhausted from his match only minutes ago. Closer up, it can be

observed the red marks that cover his body from the brutal contest.]

Yatsu: I will give you guys a few minutes, after that, no more
questions.

Reporter: [Off camera] Just tell us what everyone wants to know. What
do
you have to say about Kobe?

Yatsu: [He looks back at Inoue for a second, then to the camera.] As
much
as my teacher hates to even hear his name uttered, I’m glad you said
that
you said Kobe, not the “Iron Chef.” I said before tonight I had no
respect
for Kobe; now I must correct myself. While there is a complete void
for
respect towards the “Iron Chef” there is some for Kobe.

Reporter: But aren’t they the same person?

Yatsu: No, of course not. The “Iron Chef” was a dancing fool that knew

nothing about puroresu. He goes on claiming the superiority of lucha
libre,
of his greatness. The man I faced was not the “Iron Chef.” He did not
use
his gymnast moves, he didn’t hid is face. I faced Kenji Kobe, the man,
not
the comedic “wrestler.” While some within T.A.P. will look down on the

strong-style he used tonight, I realize that the Junior Struggle
League has
moved beyond the petty quarrel of whether shooto, strong-style, or
lucha is
the supreme art. The JSL is about whom among the junior heavyweights
has
the highest skill level. Who the true ultimate wrestler is. As much as
I
hate to admit it, tonight showed that both Kobe and I were wrong. We
are
fairly equal and it will have to wait to another day to discover who
is
better.

Reporter: Do you have anything else to say to Kenji Kobe?

Yatsu: Our match is over. I have much better things to worry about
than a
war of words with Kobe. I will not mention Kobe again until the day
comes
when we fight again. [Looks back at Inoue again.] You guys have one
more
question, make it good.

Reporter: Your next match in the Junior Struggle League is against
Corey
Hart. What comments do you have about this match up?

Yatsu: Hart also started out his quest for the Pan Asian title tonight
with
a result that he disliked. We’re both going to be working hard for our

first win, but I believe that Pure Fight will prevail. While somewhat
blemished, I will live up to my promise to win the JSL without a loss.

Victory will be mine.

[Yatsu steps back and shuts the door. Almost immediately after, the
T.A.P.
logo flashes across the screen and the picture opens up with Eiji
standing
by a white wall, assumingly a day or two after the tour opener due the
fact
that the red marks on his face have faded. He’s in street clothes, red

cargo pants and a sleeveless silver shirt with the “YATSU” four
pointed
star “T” logo across the chest. Riki Fudo can be heard off camera
giving
last minute orders to the cameraman.]

Fudo: Yatsu, I’d like to congratulate you on your hard fought match
against
Kobe on the sixth. You’re labeled as a spoiler in the Junior Struggle
League and you certainly fit that role two days ago.

Yatsu: [Slightly enraged.] I thank you; it really lived up to the
billing.
However, I must address the fact that everyone in the media continues
to
keep me at “spoiler” status. What does everyone think the final result
of
the round robin will be? In my mind there are only three men that
really
have a chance to advance to the finals, me being one of them. What do
I
have to do end this misconception?

Fudo: If I may be so bold, I suggest that you must win in your
contests
against Kenji Okano and Tasogare no Prince.

Yatsu: [A little surprised at Fudo’s answer.] It is my belief that the
only
way to guarantee that I reach the finals is to hold victories every
single
one of my remaining matches. As talented as all the competitors in the
JSL
are, we all know that my last true test will be up against Tasogare no

Prince. It’s funny how the biggest matches of the JSL will be done in
the
first couple weeks.

Fudo: You often criticized others for claiming their superiority, but
right
now, and in the past, you’re doing the same exact same thing.

Yatsu: You speak the truth, but on everyone’s list for possible final
standings no one has anyone I face from now on, besides Tasogare,
anywhere
near the top.

Fudo: You’re sounding very confident, possibly overly.

Yatsu: I am extremely confident. Inoue has busted me down to the
lowest
level, but he has rebuilt me as a better fighter. More skill, more
confidence, more of everything that it takes to reach my zenith.

Fudo: Quite obviously you don’t have much assertion of the skills of
Kenji
Okano. Are you over looking him?

Yatsu: No, I don’t believe I am. I respect him and his abilities, but
if
anyone is overlooking anyone, it is KAYO of me. I laughed when I
viewed his
interview before the start of tour. I speak of big goals for myself,
but
I’m not a fool like Okano. Like all others he doesn’t actually see me
as a
threat. KAYO’s head is much too big and it will lead to his defeat.

Fudo: Do you have anything to say to Tasogare no Prince, or about your

up-coming match?

Yatsu: Tasogare no Prince, I can’t blame you. You, like all others
still
believe that I am the same man you faced at the beginning of last
tour.
That defeat combined with my inability to capture a win against
Fairchild
finally unclouded my eyes. No longer am I using a modified version of
your
lucharesu, it is only Pure Fight. You must think that after your match
at
the next TV taping it will be a cakewalk to the finals. I am the man
to
show that it will be a long road. My progression will be your undoing.

[The camera fades out.]
