[NIWF] News & Rumors
Dirty Dan
- After Hardcore Edge went off the air, Corey Irons stormed into Derrik
Weaver's locker room, accusing Weaver of having intended to "use" him to
propel himself to the top. Irons was furious, and the two eventually began
to brawl. Dirty Dan purposely allowed the attack to happen, and held
officials back from breaking up the fight. Eventually, arena security
guards had to separate the two. Irons was quoted as having said, "This
isn't over... not by a LONG shot!"
-Many are speculating that Dirty Dan us just using SPW as well as "firing"
people as part of an angle to try and generate some heat for the NIWF.
Needless to say, he has done a good job of it. We have to wonder if the
people we saw get fired this week were actually fired. We did catch up to
Dirty Dan and he told us that there is no way anyone is going to screw with
the NIWF, not by a long shot. He then said that there will be MORE firings,
leading up to the Free Per View itself. We tried to ask Dirty Dan about the
"Queen" bee he made reference too, but all we got out of him was something
about her keeping her trap shut and her currently being an active part of
SPW. He then ran off scream: "God Bless the Queen!"
-Rumor has it that Dirty Dan has been in talks with the EWF which may be
re-opening. The EWF has asked if it can become a farm federation for the
NIWF. Dirty Dan is still contemplating this move, as he wants to see what
the EWF is made of first before any major decisions are made.
-Dirty Dan was said to be very pleased with the tag team match at the last
show. He was very impressed with the work of Solid Gold. So impressed that
he is thinking of putting Solid Gold in a match for the tag team titles at
Civil War, despite only wrestling one match in the NIWF thus far. Dirty Dan
is also looking to add to the tag team scene and says he has a HUGE surprise
at the next Hardcore Edge.
-Andrew "The Icon" Starkey has said to be falling out of favor with... well,
himself. Starkey is not pleased with his performance lately in the ring. He
feels he has done nothing but go downhill, after being in the main event on
the very first Hardcore Edge that was on when the NIWF re-opened. Dirty Dan
has not talked to Starkey, but believes that Starkey has great potential as
a cruiserweight, especially after some of the crazy stunts he has pulled the
past couple of cards.
-At least three members have quit the NIWF. Those 3 that we know, currently,
are "Dashing" Derek Lankford, Thomas P. Harding and JoAnne Smith who is
having her last match this coming Hardcore Edge. The NIWF is sad to see
these members go, as they were a good part of the NIWF. But we understand
the needs they have and where they are coming from and wishes these members
nothing but the best of luck. The doors to the NIWF will always be open.
-With 3 members gone, the NIWF has gained 5 members to replace them already,
with a possible 5th on the way. The NIWF welcomes to the fed Dewey,
"Excellent" Arthur Essex, Sweetness and "The Main Event" Sean Silver. Dirty
Dan is also said to be in negotiations with Kitti in coming back to the
women's division to wrestle. Apparently, she has been convinced to at least
take a look at a contract offer and if she signs, she could be a part of the
NIWF wrestling staff as early as the Free Per View. Right now she is part of
the production crew, but she is not being utilized to her full potential.
-Just who is ???? and why does Jeremy Colton Christ have to face this
person. We are told that this person is someone who knows a lot about one of
the wrestlers in the NIWF and plans on revealing himself this coming
Hardcore Edge. He is wrestling Jeremy Colton Christ because Dirty Dan wants
him to prove that he is tough enough to stay in the NIWF and they don't come
any tougher than Jeremy Colton Christ.
-Apparently Dirty Dan has been given MANY ideas about matches and he liked
every single one of them. One match idea that stood out was a Throw in the
Towel match. He is thinking about implementing this somewhere on the Free
Per View.
