[GPW] GENESIS [1/6]

starfield setting where the camera pans across the galatic background which
is filled with comets, lively planets, moons, and billions and billions of
stars. Finally, the camera stops on a floating rock in the middle of the
space. As the rock turns, a voice over begins to speak.....>>
[VOICE OVER]: "In the beginning......all was chaotic in the
world.......dispair and destruction reigned supreme.....evil personified
itself on this world and swallowed all life with it. However.....things
would soon change........"
<<The camera switches to a video clip of the final press conference that
Southern Championship Wrestling and Wild West Wrestling held>>
[COMMISSIONER KAY]: "Thank you everyone for joining us here today. We
appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Several thousand
fans have already wrote in wishing us the very best and we want you to know
that your support has been unbelivable and it has not gone unnoticed. As
you have witnessed, these past two week certainly were not easy ones. We've
had to face some very difficult realities and forced to make decisions that
we wish we did not have to make."
[BOB LANE]: "Although this situation originated from a dismal and extremely
disgusting act, we have turned a once dark and uncertain road into a path
for which all of our ventures and ideas can still come to fruition.
Clayton, Richard and myself have spoken in great detail after the session
in court earlier this week and we have already laid the ground work to
carry on."
[COMMISSIONER KAY]: "With the suspension of operations in both SCW and the
WWW, all three of us have agreed that even when the doors are allowed to be
open, we will in fact keep them closed. As of today, a new promotion is
being announced. One that combines the talents of both our wrestling
organizations. Therefore I proudly present to you"
<<He pauses and Bob Lane stands up, and pulls off the SCW logo off the wall
behind them to reveal a new logo...>>
[COMMISSIONER KAY]: "GLOBAL PRO-WRESTLING!
[CLAYTON SOUTHSTAR]: "With mah financial backing, along with the wisdom,
experience and talent that Kay has, we truly believe that this promotion
will not only build upon the success and tradition created by our previous
promotions, but as well help our current stars reach a global status, as
they have been pushing to acheive. Unfortunately though, several of us from
each of our companies will not be moving ahead with this new organization.
Due to legal matters, Both Richard and mahself are required to spend some
time in Washington sorting out matters and straightening out the mess a
particular individual has made.
<<He pauses and lets out a sigh>>
[BOB LANE]: "I however, will be stepping down from my duties in SCW and
heading back to Georgia, to re-form my regional promotion. I do believe
that is where I belong. Helping to foster new talent and maintaining the
regional wrestling element in this country. This was an amicable decision
and there are no hard feelings."
<<He pauses>>
[COMMISSIONER KAY]: "We certainly wish Bob the very best of luck in this
venture and will still be affiliated with his promotion in some way. At
this time, we would like to announce that our new Commissioner of Global
Pro-Wrestling will be long time supporter and representative of the SCW,
Mr. Casey Blain. Casey will be joined by several other employees of both
our former promotions and you will be given a written document of details
following the conclusion of this broadcast."
<<He pauses as Casey Blain enters from a door to the side of the room and
takes a seat. He move a microphone towards him and begins to speak as all
three of them nod towards him>>
[CASEY BLAIN]: "Let me say to all of you viewing, both wrestler and fan
alike that it truly is an honor to be here. I am extremely excited at the
possibilites and potential of this new promotion. Many of our current fans
and superstars have been pushing for our promotions to be a bit more
'worldly'. Running a regional promotion and keeping that flavor, sometimes
makes it hard but with our new situation, location will not hinder us from
reaching or establishing the world recognition that we know all of you are
striving towards. "
[COMMISSIONER KAY]: "Clayton has already financed a new office in mid-town
NY. This is where our base of operations will be. The VIACOM building was
generous enough to lease out an entire floor to our promotion. This puts
right in Times Square, where the latest and greates things are certainly
happening. And now...for the first official GPW announcement...
[COMMISSIONER BLAIN]: "Ladies and Gentlemen. I am proud to announce that
TWO WEEKS from TODAY, we will be holding the VERY FIRST Global
Pro-Wrestling pay-per-view entitled "GENESIS!" The line-ups have already
been established and let me tell you that this event is without a doubt the
BIGGEST live broadcast of championship matches ever to be witnessed. Please
turn your attention to the screen so that you may view the line-up."
<<The scene shifts back to the starfield background where we see a shot of
the rock, only now, it is full of life....almost resembling earth....The
voice over speaks again>>
[VOICE OVER]: "Now with the parasitic evil gone and darkness
eliminated....the world we live can breathe and suceed.....the world we
live in can now.....GO
GLOBAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<<All of a sudden, the planet revolves around to show, in the middle, huge
and I mean huge golden block letters of G, P, and W. As the gold glistens
off the letters, "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns and Roses begins to
play.........."
[VOICE OVER]: "Now sit back....get comfortable....and watch us tear the
roof off of the BIG APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

<<Very quickly, the camera switches shots from the starfield to a very new
video collage of what just happened in the undercard tournaments. As the
video plays, Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" blares over the sound system to
highten the effect of the video. Finally, the camera zooms back to show
that the video we have just been watching was seen by the thousands among
thousands that are currently in Madison Square Garden and watching on the
Global View. As the crowd realizes the pay-per-view is on the air, they
absolutely ERRUPT INTO CHEERS as a massive synchronized pyrotechinc display
ingites from the newly constructed walk-way to the ring, the ringposts, and
from the ceiling. New to the Global set are the GPW Banners hanging from
the ceiling, the gold curtain by the Global View, a massive video screen
showing all the action to the people of the arena, the walk-way which is
decorated with a starfield setting, and an announce table that is sitting
at ringside and is currently occupied by Robert Sental and Aaron Hayes.
The camera then switches to a shot of the ring where the ropes are three
shades of gold and, in the center of the ring, on light blue canvas, the
GPW Logo and PPV Logo sit. The GPW logo is a huge golden block letter
style with a picture of the earth in the loop of the P while the PPV logo
has "GENESIS" written in majestic purple letters with the phrase "GPW 1:1"
written beneath it in gold. Finally, the camera picks up a shot of the
menancing steel cage resting above the ring before switching to the
announce table at ringside>>
[HAYES]: "GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN AND WELCOME TO THE THE FIRST
EVER SHOW BROADCASTED UNDER THE GLOBAL PRO-WRESTLING BANNER!!!!!!!!!!!
TONIGHT, THE FOUNDATION OF THE LEAGUE WILL BE ESTABLISHED AS ALL NEW
CHAMPIONS WILL BE CROWNED IN A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MATCHES........."
[SENTAL]: "And Casey will screw things up worse than Kay did."
[HAYES]: "If you didn't already know, my broadcast partner for the night is
none other than Robert Sental. Tonight, though, we have the privilege of
brining to you what is going to be one of the most memorable shows in all
of wrestling history. We will see the following tonight......two cage
matches, a ladder match, a triangle elimination match, a falls
count-anywhere match, and an opening contest that will definetly light this
place on fire. For those just tuning in and missed the broadcast of the
undercard, we are pleased to report to you the finalists in the two
tournaments. Later in the night, The Diamond Dynasty, Thunderstorm, and
Law and Disorder will fight for the World Tag-Team Titles....."
<<Stills of all three teams winning their respective pools are shown to the
New York and Pay-Per-View audience>>
[HAYES]: "And for the World Title.....two virtual newcomers will battle to
determine the first man to bear the torch for our league.....Eugene
Robinson and Carny McDevlin will enter the cage with the hopes of becoming
the top dog in this organization."
<<Like for the tag-team finalists, stills of McDevlin and Robinson winning
their respective pools are shown for the crowd and viewers>>
[HAYES]: "So there you have it fans, the pay-per-view is now complete and
all we are waiting for is the official start of tonight's action. Our
first contest of the evening is going to be for the Regional Title.....Flic
Rogers will meet The Aftermath in what is sure to be a fight of GLOBAL
proportions.
<<All of a sudden, the camera switches to a starfield background along with
a headshot of The Aftermath on the left and Flic Rogers on the right.
Behind Aftermath's head shot, pictures of flames are resting in the
background. Behind Roger's, there is a picture of the state of Texas with
a star locating where Coldwater is. On the bottom of the screen, a graphic
reads.....>>

<<The camera switches back to Hayes....>>
[HAYES]: "Without any further ado, let us get up to the ring and start this
pay-per-view."

<<The camera zooms in on the ring where Rick Thompson, tonight's ring
announcer, is standing, decked out in a fine Armani tuxedo and a microphone
in his hand, and Referee Youngblood are present. As Thompson begins to
speak, the crowd jumps to their feet in cheers>>
[THOMPSON]: "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF NEW YORK......ON BEHALF OF GLOBAL
PRO-WRESTLING AND SOUTHSTAR INDUSTRIES.......I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU TO
OUR FIRST EVER PRODUCTION.........OUR FIRST EVER PAY-PER-VIEW.......OUR
FIRST EVER
SUPERCARD...........GENESIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
<<The crowd roars in approval as another massive synchronized pyrotechnic
display ingites all over the Garden>>
[THOMPSON]: "OUR FIRST CONTEST OF THE NIGHT IS SET FOR ONE FALL AND IT IS
FOR THE GPW REGIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!!!!! Introducing first..."
<<The crowd starts to boo.>>
[THOMPSON]: "Coming to the ring at a weight of three hundred and sixty-five
pounds, and hailing from Hell..._THE_AFTERMATH_!!!"
<<The Aftermath steps out from behind the curtains, towering at six and a
half
feet tall. He wears long black trousers that are covered with red streaks
that symoblize the devil. He strides to the ring deliberatly, quickly. He
rolls into the ring and stands in his corner, awaiting his opponent.>>
[THOMPSON]: "And his opponent..."
<<Limp Bizkit's "Faith" starts up as the fans continue their booing.>>
[THOMPSON]: "Weighing in at two hundred and thirty pounds, and hailing from
Cold Water, Texas..._'THE_LONESOME_DOVE'_FLIC_ROGERS_!!!"
<<Rogers steps out from behind the curtains wearing jeans, with a leather
belt around his waist, cowboy boots, a big cowboy hat, a leather jacket,
and a cattle brander in his hand. He walks to the ring fairly quickly,
shouting at ringside fans, letting them know he hates them as much as they
hate him. He slides into the ring and immediatly locks up with his bigger
opponent as the referee calls for the bell.>>
[HAYES]: "Ladies and gentlemen, the first match of the evening, for the GPW
Regional Title, is underway as these two men lock up. The Aftermath has a
distinct advantage over Rogers, with two inches and over a hundred and
thirty
pounds on him. It shows as the Aftermath locks on a side headlock."
[SENTAL]: "I like both of these guys, Aaron. Here's a whip from Rogers,
but
he's met with a shoulder block that takes him down to the mat. The
Aftermath
reaches down and pulls him back to his feet."
The Aftermath whips Rogers to the ropes and attempts a big clothesline.
But "The Lonesome Dove" ducks under and hits the opposite ropes. He comes
back and leaps with a big Lou Thesz press to take the big man down. He
hammers away with rights and lefts on his downed opponent before finally
standing up and pulling the Aftermath to his feet.
[HAYES]: "Rogers in control here, and he whips him to the corner. The
Aftermath hits his back hard in the corner and bounces back out to the
middle of the ring where...."
[SENTAL]: "ROGERS SCOOPS HIM UP WITH A BIG POWERSLAM ON THE GIANT! He
hooks
the leg as the referee slides in to administer the three count."
[YOUNGBLOOD]: "ONE...TW - "
But the Aftermath kicks out at two. Rogers pulls him to his feet and rocks
him with a big right hand. He hits another, backing the big man against
the ropes. Rogers takes a step back and measures up the Aftermath before
running at him with an attempted clothesline.
[SENTAL]: "AFTERMATH WITH A BACK BODY DROP TO SEND THE BIG COWBOY OVER THE
TOP
ROPE! The Aftermath now joins him on the outside as he hits him with a big
double axe-handle smash from the apron!"
[HAYES]: "The Aftermath is now in control on the outside here and he sets
Flic
up to meet the steel ring steps. Here's the whip...AND A REVERSAL!"
Rogers reverses the Aftermath's attempt at hurling him into the ring steps
and
instead the Aftermath goes back first into the steel. Rogers shakes the
cobwebs from the clothesline and the axe-handle smash and goes over and
starts to stomp away on Hell's downed minion. The referee warns him to
bring it back into the ring or they'd both be disqualified.
[HAYES]: "Now Rogers pulls the Aftermath to his feet and rolls him back
into
the ring. Rogers comes in and steps up onto the second rope in the corner.
He
waits for the Aftermath to stand, and as his opponent is facing the other
way,
Rogers leaps off and drops him to the mat with a big bulldog!"
[YOUNGBLOOD]: "ONE...TWO...T - "
[SENTAL]: "HOW did the Aftermath kick out of that!? He's still in this
thing
as Rogers is a little mad. He's thrown everything but the kitchen sink at
him
and he can't get him down for the three count."
Rogers again pulls the Aftermath to his feet and whips him to the corner
once
again. This time he follows him in with a big clothesline and follows up
with
a few kicks to the midsection. Rogers drives the big man down to the mat
with
punches and kicks for a few seconds before stopping and turning around to
look
at the fans, who are booing their heads off.
[SENTAL]: "DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEM, FLIC! Turn around and pay
attention to
that big man you've got angered in the corner!"
[HAYES]: "The Aftermath is back on his feet now. Flic turns around and
starts
to run toward him, thinking he's still down on the mat with the intention
of
nailing him with a knee to the face, but is surprised to be gorilla pressed
up
and over the top rope to the floor once again."
The fans erupt into cheers as Rogers hits the ground outside the ring hard
on
his stomach and chest. The Aftermath follows him to the outside and starts
to
lay the boots to him as once again the referee warns him that he would not
at
all hesitate to disqualify both of them. So the Aftermath rethinks his
strat-
egy and rolls the "Lonesome Dove" back into the ring.
[HAYES]: "Oh my. I think the Aftermath may be going for his devestating
'Pow-
erbomb from Hell.' He picks Rogers up and locks on a standing head
scissors.
He lifts him up high above his head and holds him..."
As the Aftermath holds him up on his shoulders, Rogers starts to hammer
away
frantically on the big man. It works as he manages to shift the weight and
cause the Aftermath to fall on his back.
[SENTAL]: "ROGERS FIGHTS BACK! What a BATTLE this has been! Rogers
hammers
away on the Aftermath and then pulls him to his feet. He may be going for
his
own powerbomb here, a running powerbomb he calls 'Scolded.'"
Rogers whips the Aftermath to the ropes and hits him with a big lariat that
he
always uses to set up his finisher. He then grabs the Aftermath up and
locks
on his own head scissors. He lifts the big man up and runs with a big
powerbomb, hitting "Scolded." He hooks the leg.
[YOUNGBLOOD]: "ONE...TWO...THREE!!!"
[THOMPSON]: "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the match and the FIRST
GPW
REGIONAL CHAMPION..._FLIC_ROGERS_!!!"
As the crowd boos at the crowning of the new champion, the lights suddenly
go off and somber funeral music begins to play.........
[SENTAL]: "What in the world?"
Before Sental's question can be answered, the lights come back on like
nothing happened. However, missing from the ring is none other than The
Aftermath as Flic Rogers is standing arounding wondering what just happened
[HAYES]: "Where did The Aftermath go?!"
[SENTAL]: "Good question!"
Back in the ring, referee Youngblood has just given Rogers the title belt
and he is holding it high for the unsatisfied New York crowd. Irritated by
this, Rogers yells a few words for the crowd before taking his belt and
leaving in a complete rage. Once Rogers is gone, the camera switches to
the announce table
[HAYES]: "Well Flic Rogers is the new Regional Heavyweight Champion but the
big story here is what the heck happened to The Aftermath? I mean the
lights went down, then that music played, and when the lights came back on,
he was gone. Crazy stuff already happening here in the first match and we
got a long way to go."
[SENTAL]: "Gee......great."
[HAYES]: "While we're on the topic, let's get to our next match of the
evening. It's going to be a straight up fight as Richey Razorblade, one of
the members of The Root of All Evil, will battle former Wild West Wrestling
superstar.....Bart Simmons....."
<<The camera switches to the familiar starfield background where Bart
Simmons and Razorblade each has their head shot. In Simmons' head shot, a
picture of a Bulldog can be seen while on Razorblade's headshot, a golden
razor with the initials TROAE can be seen.....on the bottom of the screen,
it reads....>>
[GRAPHIC]: "GPW BRASS KNUX TITLE MATCH."
<<The camera switches back to the announce table....>>
[HAYES]: "Fans, this one is going to be wild as it will be
no-disqualification and falls count-anywhere. Expect a big reaction for
Bart Simmons, a native of New Jersey but a well loved wrestler here in New
York. Let's get to the ring and start this one....."
