Does anybody remember a group that started on here about 3 years ago
called Confederation X. It was a group devoted to e-wrestling,
southern culture, and pork rinds. I was a member then but I got out of
e-wrestling for awhile and dont know whatever happened to the group.
Anybody have any insight or it still exists?

Oh, I beg to differ, Birm...

Worst Buddy-Cop Movies Of All Time

"Running Scared" - Hines and Crystal shoulda stuck to tap-dancing and
romantic comedy, respectively.
"Tango And Cash" - Russell and Stallone shoulda stuck to boning Goldie Hawn
and killing Charlie's nephews, respectively.
"Die Hard With A Vengeance" - The third in a series is ALWAYS the worst (see
Godfather, Rocky, etc...)
"Lethal Weapon 2" - Impossible to improve on the first one, but they tried
anyway

And the worst of all time?

"Red Heat" - This was so bad, I don't even have a snide comment. Pure
drivel.

Well, since you asked...

"48 Hours" - Yeah, Reggie Hammond wasn't a cop and he and Jack weren't
really buddies, but it's my list, so deal with it.

"The Hidden" - A little-known sci-fi buddy-cop movie, with Kyle Machlachlan
and Michael Nouri pursuing an alien criminal. The twist? One of the cops is
also an alien.

"Alien Nation" - I'm a James Caan mark, and the movie itself is pretty good,
too.

"Lethal Weapon" - Had it all... the out-of-control rebel cop, the
by-the-book cop close to retirement, and great villians in Mitchell Ryan and
Gary Busey. The fight scene at the end between Busey and Gibson is
greatness.

"Seven" - Much darker and more disturbing than most buddy-cop movies, but a
great piece of film, IMHO

tango and cash is good, but...

who can say they dont love it when they see mel gibson and his black "black guy

homosexuality?

I carry a Lethal Weapon, brutha.

Whoa! Back it up a bit there. Everyone knows besides the first one,
Rocky III was the other good Rocky movie. Even better than Rocky V,
IMO, and way, way better than Rocky IV for sure.

Actually, I thought Rocky V was better than Rocky III. Just when you though
they'd done everything they could with that character, they take it to a
whole 'nother place. But upon second thought, and after careful
consideration of Rizdal's comments, I will change my opinion on the Rocky
series. Rocy IV was _definitely_ worse than Rocky III. Rocky IV was so bad,
I had actually blocked it out of my mind like so many bad summer camp

No offense, Patrick, but I remember when Chris introduced me to you back when
Creed rejoined around the time of the Bruise Cruise PPV. You weren't a
successful comedian back then, you aren't one now either. Realistically, it's
not feasible being a comedian. Yet, also only oh so practical if you want to
accomplish laughs.

I like the serious Patrick much more. Where the f--- did THAT go? This
semi-taunting and fully-self-superior garbage has got to go. Just get down to

Rocky V was good, but I felt Rocky III was better. Reason being, I
don't think they explored the relationships in Rocky V, namely that
between Rocky and Tommy Gunn and Rocky and Rocky Jr. all that
satisfactorily. It left me feeling quite empty even after Rocky
whupped Tommy's ass at the end. In fact, all I marked out for at the
end was when Paulie punched Tommy's manager in the face. The
beginning, with Rocky losing his fortune and returning to his
neighbourhood was good, though, especially the scene in Mick's gym,
with the flashbacks.

Rocky III, on the other hand, I found to have a more satisfactory
plot-line and ending, with Rocky becoming 'soft' from his success,
losing to the rough-around-the-edges Clubber Lang and then returning
back to basics to beat Clubber. It was also one of the more memorable
ones for me because of Micky's death and Apollo Creed stepping up to
help his ex-nemesis. It was a more engaging storyline for me.

Rocky IV, I felt was just there to take advantage of the sentiments of
the time.

Rocky was the one that started it all, so it's one of the best, if not
the best, for me.

Rocky II I never watched and always seemed to miss on TV, so no
comments there.

Sounds like the movie with one of the aliens going 'I come in peace.'
before he blasts the other guy, but that sounds too B-grade to make
for a good buddy-cop movie.

I could be wrong.

You're saying being an *UN*successful comedian is a *BAD* thing? 8-b

Actually, some friends of mine make fairly decent livings doing the
Yuk Yuk's tours up here in Canada. Kindofa crappy lifestyle if ya
don't like living out of a suitcase in stinky dives. But it can be a
living if that's what floats yer boat.

his demonic hobbies, *SOME ONE* has to stop him!!

it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

That would be Billy Greene. And... since when did a newsgroup become
a business?

Never mind, don't answer that. It was a rhetorical question.
