1- News and Notes
==========================================================
--> The ratings ar ein and we didn't set a new record this week, but
we actually had our stringest ratings top to bottom ever. Our
ratings stayed steady throughout the entire broadcast and that means
great sustained action all through the show. So great job everyone
and let's hope for a large buyrate this weekend! Our goal is
somewhere around about 200,000 buys. I believe that is about a 0.3
or 0.4 buyrate. For a small league like ours, that would be a great
take and could lead to us finally traveling a bit for house shows!

OVERALL COMPOSITE RATING---> 2.60
--> Well guys I am happy to announce that we are getting some
recognition for what we are doign here. At the EWIC, there are
bi-monthly polls in which they rank the top wrestlers, tag teams, and
feds out there. I am happy to say that the MCW is well represented
and you can check this out and even place your votes for the next
poll results in a little under 2 weeks! And sometime this week,
Director of Operations Chris Hopper will have his third article
published on this site. SO check this site out as it is full of
great e-wrestling information. The URL is just below.
http://members.tripod.com/ewic99/index.html
--> Have you ever wanted to get a picture of your wrestler? Many of
us fashion them after ourselves, but how many of us actually believe
that they look exactly like us? Well you can have a picture drawn to
your specifications of what your wrestler looks like. Well now there
is a site that is dedicated to drawing pictures for handlers so that
people can get a visual idea of what that character looks like. This
site can be linked through the bottom of the main page at the EWIC
site (URL above) and the prices are not too bad. Be sure to mention
that you heard about this through the MCW Newsletter and he may even
give you a deal.
--> If you are reading this, then I am really glad. It seems that
many of our handlers are not reading this entire newsletter. I can't
stress enough how important it is that you read the whole thing and
know exactly what is going on. Many of you have lost track of
deadlines and even who you are facing, where if you would have read
the newsleter all the way through you would know and get everything
in on time. There will be no deadline reminders this week because I
feel you all are good enough to remember. In fact it is mentioned at
least 2 or 3 tims within the newsletter just so you DO remember. I
just want to stress that you really need to read the whole thing and
heed all instructions and deadlines within.
--> We want to remind everyone to watch the dates of the lineup
releases and strat accordingly. Also when you send in information to
the MCW e-mail address the subjects should be reflected as follows...
[MCW] Strat for (name of wrestler) (date of card)
[MCW] Flash for (name of wrestler) (date of card)
[MCW] In-Ring for (name of wrestler) (date of card)
[MCW] Commercial for (name of wrestler) (date of card)
[MCW] Rumor for (name of wrestler)
I think you get the idea here. All mail should be seperated for it's
purpose. In other words, do not send a flash, strat, and anything
else in one mail. We want everyting seperated so it is easier and
quicker for us to use. Anything not tagged like we have put above
will be trashed. This will help the Board of Directors get through
the mails and get them where they need to go. Thus we will become a
more organized body of sports (is that possible in e-wrestling?)
Also for you smartalics out there...Anyone who actually puts "(name
of wrestler) (date of card)" on their subject line will automaticall
be jobbed in 2 consecutive matches. And yes, I am serious about
that.
--> Don't forget to check out the web site. There is even more
information tahn is inside the news and views! Check it out and see
everything we have. The site is completely updated (except roster
section, that takes some time). So browse around and check it all
out!!!
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Pressbox/3678/
--> A couple of extra things you can do to help your character get
over is to send in commercials and do in-ring interviews. Now you
have to request an in-ring and right now can only do them for the
Saturday show, MCW IMPACT. So all you have to do is to send in a
request ASAP and if/when we grant it (there are only limited spots
for In-rings every week), you need to get the in-ring in by the same
night that your strats are due. That way it helps your booking as
well. The commercials need to be in on Wednesday too. The
commercials are shirts, web site ads, etc. that get your character
more exposure. You will see a few of these early on as we will be
writing a few, but mainly we want the handlers to write them for
their own wrestler.
--> Here is how the tournament brackets look after we saw Slim Jim
Morris defeat Eric Darkin in a qualifying match, The Pallbearer get
beaten by Ozymandius in another qualifying match, and we also saw
newcomer Keith Stebbins upset Tv Champion Spellbinder in a first
round match. So here ar ethe current brackets...

We have that one already.)

6- Deadline Announcements
==========================================================
It was stated a bit earlier, but we still want to make sure everyone
gets the point about the deadlines.
FLASHES...
You are required to flash at least once per week. No more than once
per packet, which is a max of twice per week. The packets will go
out on Monday Night and Friday night every week.
The deadlines for flashes are 7 pm EST on both Monday and Friday. If
you send a flash for Monday and it does not make the deadline, it
will go out in the next packet. Get the picture there? Now remember
that Flashes account for 40-50% of the decision when booking your
matches, so send in the RP's as often as possible. It will help you
in the long run.
STRATS...
Since only one of our shows requires a long strat and one requires a
very short strat, we have decided to have them both be due on the
same night. Strats for the Sat. and next Tuesday's shows are due at
7 pm EST (US) on Wednesday night!
If you do not send in a strat, you will lose. There are no
exceptions unless something really out of the ordinary has happened,
but for the most part only death should keep you from stratting.
Strats count for about 40% of the booking process, so get them in.

9- Weekly Awards
==========================================================
This is the section where the Board of Directors will reward some of
our more, shall we say Interesting moments over the past week. So
keep watching this section every week and see if something you did
was good enough to be mentioned here. We are open to a few more
awards, so if you have any ideas on different awards we can name each
week on the News and Views, send them in to us.
***WRESTLERS OF THE WEEK***
The Amish Extreme
This conglomorate of three wrestlers had a great week as the AMish
Tag team remained undefeated throughout the Round Robin Tag Team
Title Tournament. Graber's setback against Irish was the only time
they fell short. Great week from the best tag team in MCW right now!
***MATCH OF THE WEEK***
Keith Stebbins -VS- Burden--HW Title Tournament Quarterfinal
This match had everything you could want in it, including one of teh
biggest upsets since Stebbins upset then Television Champion,
Spellbinder in the first round. Great match guys and congrats on the
award!
***GREATEST HIT OF THE WEEK***
"Nasty" Iron Irish nailing the Iron Cross finsiher to argueably the
biggest guy in the MCW, Graber. The move was not only a spectacle,
but the match clincher as Irish held on to his "Ironman" belt.

House Show Strats
===================================
There are seperate strats for house shows. When you are in a house
show match, which is our Tuesday night results, the results are just
reported and that s it. Thus the strat is needed, but not nearly as
drawn out. Just give us two or three basic things and all is
finished. Here is the template followed by the example.
