1998 NIKE World Masters Games

The 1998 NIKE World Masters Games (August 9-22,1998 in Portland, Oregon, USA)
are now preparing a list of people interested in information about the Games.

If you want to know more about the Games please send your Postal mailing
address to wmg...@aol.com with subject line -WMG'98 Info. request-. Please
include your name, address, and the sport(s) you are interested in. The phone
is 503-226-1998; Fax, 503-226-7700. The first General Information Brochures
will be sent out about Jan 10.'97. If you are a Media Rep. please include
that information along with your title and the name of your publication and
the area you cover.

Orienteering is one of 25 sports included in the Games and there is a limit
on total
registrations. We would like Orienteering to have the maximum participation
possible so please get your request in immediately and your registration as
soon as possible. The Orienteering events are currently scheduled for August
12-17, '98.

The preliminary meetings that I've been to indicate that the event is going
to be on par with the Atlanta Olympics from the standpoint of competitors and
competition.
