The InterContinental Baseball Officials Organization (IBOO) offers
national and international baseball officiating opportunities.

IBOO pays an annual salary to its officials, all costs of travel, per
diem and $100 per hour for games officiated. IBOO is a Non Profit
Organization funded by corporate and private gifts and donations.

IBOO officials' uniforms and accessories are custom made. Optionally,
an IBOO official may obtain at no charge custom made protective gear.

IBOO baseball officials will be officiating games in over 20 countries
including many of the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico SubSaharan
Africa, Japan, Australia and the Unites States.

There are stringent physical, mental and functional tests that must be
passed. IBOO encourages all races, genders and age groups.
Bilingualism is a plus. Military service in direct combat is a plus.

Feel free to inquire; all relevant questions will be addressed.

We started out as a group of Special Forces (Delta, L.R.R.P., SOG,
etc) and later banded together as mercenaries. During our experiences
especially in Panama, we engaged locals in baseball. Most of us were
accomplished ball players (collegiate and up).

There is a required discipline, sometimes courage in many of our
officiating situations. Not everyone treats umpires as well as
Americans. lol

We now number more civilians than ex-military.

I umpire MSBL, know what that is? Very high level amateur ball full of
ex-pros and collegians.

Send money.

If it is Mens' Senior, yes I do. The players we officiate are of equal
caliber with many now professional players from the Caribbean isles.
Corporate sponsored and employed to play Inter Caribbean ball
including Panama and (hopefully) SE/South Florida.

There are a lot of the travel adult teams who are MABL teams/players.

No. If you forward your general area of the country, or umpire
group(s), we have IBOO officials who can make contact with you.

Typically, we will first contact an official in your area who knows
your work, physical capabilities, etc. If we have interest, then we
make available to you our contact info as well.

They have lost several players to this new, international competition.
The players are only gone for a week or two at a time, the Senior
season is six-eight months.

In turn, IBOO returns excellent OBR officials but we only take
excellent, physically prepared officials in the first place !!

Wil, thanks for the info, I will pass yours along to my SC Head
Umpire. He should be able to meet your qualification guidelines but
the ban on tobacco and booze would sink me right off :0)

+1 Linton.

The qualifications are very strict but the jobs are extremely
rewarding and the pay is untouched by anything we know of
internationally.
