The one thing I have seen that fixes the problem is, the gasket set for the
new 2000 951's. If has a redesigned gasket that comes with another gasket
that is like a rubber boot. Not really sure of the seadoo part number, but
the dealer should be able to find it. The price is around 35.00 canadian,
probably cheaper in the US. Hope this helps

David,
I believe they start leaking because of the sealant that the dealers are
using to coat the gaskets. After a while it gets hard and brittle. The
solution is to use a good grade silicone sealant. I use Premetex Orange High
Temp sealant.

I don't think sea-doo.net has that info anymore. www.impros.com has
basically the same stuff. I wish Corey's info was still at that page. I
clicked on tech articles and all they have is a fix for the 951 water leak.
It looked like it was going to be some good reading but, no pump info like
Corey had up there. Nice looking page otherwise..

David, go to www.sea-doo.net and click on the tech articles link. It looks
as if the articles change monthly so you might want to save it before it's
gone. I didn't read very much of it so make up your own mind about the
content. cya

oops, I somehow replied to the wrong post with this one. Was supposed to be
a reply to a question on how to change the pump oil. Oh well..
