But don't get your hopes up guys (and gals) it's not the same
PJS of yesteryear. The original PJS is still owned by Mag Jet
Systems along with all of the designs, names, etc. If that is
the same company Bill was referring to.

They work mostly on standups and mostly on the Kawasaki brand. Just like his
father-in-law did.
His shop used to be called Arron Davis Racing.
I knew it was in Orange, but it is within a block of Anahiem and the Anahiem
Pond, and most people don't know where Orange is.

It will be interesting to see if anything "hot" comes out of the new
PJS (Pro Jet Sports). I'm not expecting anything like they used
to have, but it sure would be nice to see something new on the
market...regardless of where or who it comes from. I don't really
recall seeing anything new or exciting coming from the aftermarket
industry in the past couple of years...at least not like it used to be.
Guess everything goes a little stale eventually.

Solas is onto something with the Dynaflite props for XPL's, GSXL's and
GTXL's.
Ross is about to release those long awaited SD twins and he and a few others
have some great new pipes for Yamaha and Kawasaki's, Gary and Pam Coffman
have triples for Ultras.
Miller has updated SD 1050 kits and will be offering heads and rave valves
for Yamaha 1200 long stroke motors ( GPR and XL motors) by mid summer.
We will be offering some very trick superstock Sea Doo and Yamaha long
stroke motors for racing in 785 and 1200 this year and we will be offering a
replacement 951 crank with Honda rods for about the same price as an OEM
rebuilt crankshaft.
Skat Trak has pumps props and nozzels for all 4 brands that kick ass.
Hedlund has triples for Yamaha's and probably Kawasakis soon.
All new MSD's are multi channel digitals now.
Beachouse has better sponsons this year for most models, especially XPL's.
Evolution Marine has some trick trim systems for XPL's and Polaris
watercraft.
And, the IJSBA has a working website ! :)
What more could you ask for ?

Those twins are yet to be seen...the Coffman's is a single, not triple,
unless things have changed since the last time I spoke with them (which
was recent). But triples would be cool.
Big bore kits have been done long enough. New rotary valves might be
interesting though. Heads have been around forever...some are better
while some are barely better than reworked OEM heads.
I would be interested in seeing the crank you are coming out with, but it
isn't to market yet.
MSD? Jetinetics' One Shot has "been" out long enough for the MSD to
be a follower in that category as far as I am concerned. The One Shot
kicks butt.
I guess what I would really like to see is maybe an EFI system for the
after-
market industry. They are out there, but haven't made it to the PWC scene
yet...maybe they never will...who knows. And how about a really "hot"
exhaust (no pun intended) system like twins for the twin Yami engines
like for the SJ, and even a twin for the 750 Kawi. I remember the Rius 750
years ago having twins, but they kept breaking due to the brittle material
they were constructed of. Now "that" is something I would like to see. I
realize the demand may not be sufficient for those, but at the same time,
I feel there would be profit none-the-less. The problem is, if there isn't
"enough" profit, the big boys won't make it. And how about a fresh power-
plant for the SJ and SXi. Keep those models stagnant enough and the
riding community will definitely loose interest in them. Slap something
new and exciting in there and breathe some life into those models.
I guess with the rule changes eliminating much of the aftermarket bolt on
items is the downside I see. I just remember the days of the sport when
aftermarket cylinders, trick driveshafts, trick hull mods, killer
this...killer
that and all the excitement of new products were the norm. Now it tends
to be same ole-same ole.
Now the IJSBA finally getting a website...DAMN...now that is hot stuff. :^)

I remember seeing the Accel rig at Havasu years ago. Right before
they scraped their plans for their involvement in pwc.
I (fortunately) didn't get one of the first One Shots. Sorry that happened
to you guys at the WF. You are right about using it to weld. That is
one helluva spark. I'm thinking of using one on my next project X1/9.
thinking of replacing the entire driveline with a Rotary from an RX7...
twin turbo of course. I can't seem to leave anything alone. Waiting
for some aero kit info from England right now.
And I agree on the IJSBA 'site. Should have been done years ago though.
Those "were" the days.

| Laszlo,
| Well, I agree. I'd love to go back to Carbon Fiber and Titaninum but we
are
| not going there again as far as I can tell. BTW, Accell had a EFI on a
| Kawasaki 750 about 5 to 6 years ago.
|
| Both jetskis, Kawasaki and Yamaha could use a Rotax with rave valves :)
|
| Skat pumps for the new boats are much better today than they were just 1
| year ago.
|
| The Ultra at lake Webb last week's BP race had Coffman Triples on it. Gary
| was there to see that they worked. So, I guess things have changed since
you
| last talked to them.
|
| You will see the FPP twins if you look hard enough :)
|
| And, you are talking to the guy who had the very first "One-Shot", in
fact,
| I still have it. Worked great......... After it cost us the World Finals.
| Bob built me 5 or 6 of them, but they never got it all sorted out until
| after the WF"s were long over back in 1996 or 97. Ran the updated version
| for a year with no failures. Put out enough spark to use as a welder :)
|
| And like it or not, I think the IJSBA having a website is a step in the
| right direction for the sport in general.
