The passing of Kurtis Seebold is a tragedy to the jetski community. However,
our loss cannot compare to that of his family as his child is now fatherless.
Many motorcycle organizations and car clubs have networks to take care of their
own, we need to do the same. On Monday I am going to open a trust account for
the benefit of Kurtis' child. A risk free investment, started now, should be
able to mature into a decent college fund within 12 years (my understanding is
that his child is currently 6). Further, I am going to start the planning now
for a charity event to be held after the Tennessee Nationals to benefit this
fund. It is best to start these things right away. Please, anyone who wants
to help participate please email me or call me.

There's also a tight knit group of outboard racers who have known him for
decades and adore him - and would be more than eager to help out.

You should have a raffle at the World Finals, get something from all the top
pros and raffle it away to put the money towards the trust fund. I would be
more then happy to do so and so would the racers im sure.

How about getting the IJSBA to take up donations at their events?
They could let the racers know and they could make a donation at
the next race. And eventhen you could hold some sort of raffle at
the finals.
