So you don't know what you are selling? This is good business.
The gasket kit # came from your web site. You should know what it includes.

Jerry, the best place to get specific info on the kit would be to call
Yamaha technical at 1-800-962-7926.

Which gaskets are included in the Gasket Kit 61x-w0001-02-00 for $69.23.
Please list all gaskets by description or part #.
Do you sell a comparable gasket kit for the Yamaha 650 SuperJet 6M6 633cc
engine?
Thanks, JB.

I ordered from them with no problems.
Parts were at my door in about 7 or 8 days.

All this post tells me is that they sell a kit and don't know the individual
part numbers. So What? If it says complete kit, then that is what it means,
complete kit. I have order the SeaDoo kits before and they came with all
gaskets. HLSM is still a reliable source for replacement parts, as is about
2000 other dealers. Afterall, HLSM is a marine dealer, not a manufactuer. As
in Harrys Lake Side Marine.

I dealt with them when they had just started up and everything was a
disaster....I spoke with them at the beginning of this winter (when I
was looking for my xpl) and I guess I had the manager/owner on the line
and he assured me to give them a second chance...that their website was
now going to be better.

They had a great idea. Call in an account and get an account number, no
need for a secure transaction.....Problem was they didn't have ANYTHING
in stock. You would place the order, they would order it, two weeks
later MAYBE you would see something....(and I was ordering basic
stuff....number kit, grips, etc)...

But like I said, he assured me that they were better now and to give
them another chance. I wanted to order from them because technically if
I place an order in the morning and it goes out the same day, I should
have it the next day via UPS and that's a big plus for me.....We'll
see...I'll order something that isn't important from them and see how
they do...

If you can't get a better price for Sea Doo OEM parts at your local Dealer,
then they are not bad. If you want anything else that is not Sea Doo OEM,
their prices are too high.

You want the lowest price for items other than Sea Doo OEM, you have to go
with Davis Ski Works. Give William (Bill) Davis a call at (530) 673-0210.

I guess they never looked at the package as there is a list of contents on a

You guys are tough! Give HLSM some credit for putting all the fiche up
on their website, no small task. I don't know of any dealer anywhere
that stocks every single part that SD makes even though HLSM shows every
part imaginable on their site. They been pretty good lately about
stocking most of the common items. What their site needs is a way to
tell you if something is carried in stock or special order and if SO,
how long it will take to get. On stock items, we get them in three
days, on SO, it depends upon whether or not SD has it in stock or on
backorder. Now they are trying to do the same thing with Yamaha
although they've only got a limited amount of fiche up. I think they
stand a pretty good chance of becoming the source for OEM parts if for
no other reason than you can actually research the part. If someone
else has this level of information available on the net, let me know.

Tom,

I was not knocking HLSM, I believe it is an asset to have online what they
have. On the other hand, the sales guy should have spent a few minutes
researching the question before posting what he did to call Yamaha Technical
as it probably cost him a sale.

They have a great site, but the "knowledgeable staff" is anything but
knowledgeable. If you have the part number, great, they can help you, but if
you have a questions, be prepared to hang on the telephone and get transferred
all over the place. When I called them and asked questions about a couple
parts ,they were totally lost! I was on the phone for 15-20 minutes being
transferred around to a bunch of clueless dummies that had no idea of what I was
asking. It really turned me off from them.
To me having a parts counter with a staff that knows a little about their
inventory is a BIG plus for me. I am willing to pay a bit extra, if the guys
know their stuff and can answer my questions. I used to work in one of the
largest aviation parts centers in the world for 4 years, and believe me, if you
work there you know your stuff. The potential sales you can lose by not having
a knowledgeable staff is devastating! Not to mention it really turns people
off!
Just my1/2 cents worth:)

this is my only gripe. Near as I can tell your net order gets
converted to paper and sent over to the parts counter. They
have no mechanism to give you status by return mail (they
dont even confirm recpit of the order).

Best bet is to get all the info from the web and call it in.

Sorry to hear that George,
Sounds like your dealer is asking list for OEM parts, most do. If so, HLSM
is for you. R&R Jet Tech also does pretty good on OEM Sea Doo parts. Neither
of these places have good prices on items other than OEM though.

I'm not going to repeat myself ,but you should know by now where I go for
stuff other than OEM.

I ordered R.A.V.E. bellows and springs from them over the winter, had them
in a week. No problem. Oh yeah, electrical box cap and grommet for my
RacePak wires too. If not in a hurry I would use them again as my nearest
dealer is 45 miles away.
