My 89 GMC 4x4 has 210,000 plus miles on it. It has had no major work,
I am the original owner. The first 125,000 miles it was used to pull a
6000 pound RV. I have repalced two newer trucks since then but will
not let this one go. If you want that kind of reliability on the water
its Yamaha.

I used to work at American Honda in Torrance CA. The engineers wouldn't say
anything there either but I've seen them tow trailers into the R&D facility
with Sea Doo's, Yami's and Kawi's on them. Once, I saw them dripping water.
They were doing something with those boats in there. Maybe using other
manufacturers hulls to test Honda power plants without drawing attention out
on the lakes. Honda is at least looking into watercraft.

We can only dream. Think about how reliable it would be. My '85 Accord has
192,000 miles on it and still looking good.

That is more of a success story then you think. Actually, wonderful to hear
when a chev or ford holds up this way. "tell ya, the 3 chevy trucks and 2
fords I had NEVER did. Also, I've got a bunch of crap stories about the chevy
and dodge fleet trucks I bought every year, and no, nothing to do with lack of
maint. Feel very lucky. I wish I felt that I could own a larger truck, as
reliable, as my last 2 Toyotas.

I bet Honda is fitting a PWC with a VTEC engine.. =)

LOL

Seriously though, I would bet Honda is developing a 4 stroke engine
that will run upside down, runs quieter and cleaner than anything else
available for PWC, and probably with 75% more power to boot.

I bet they have something big planned.

Who knows.. maybe a Honda powerplant is ALREADY on the water?.. what
kinda motor is in those redesigned AquaJets they demo'd at the WF's
last year?

What kinda powerplant is in those PowerSki's? (powered surfboards in
"Waterworld")

HERE WE GO AGAIN. Here in Europe there has been rumors going around mainly
about the four stroke PWC, I know that YAMAHA will be launcing a 4-stroke
aleast in Europe before 2002, and allways when we been discussing the
4-stroke issue, somebody allways starts to speak about Honda, well if you
look at Honda marine products so its easy to make a conclusion that if they
enter the pwc business it will be with a four stroke, and i think that best
for them would be the same time as Yamaha comes out with their 4-stroke.
And as evryone knows so Honda is a good 4-stroke builder ex.ATVs i have a
Honda ATV, Generator and a 900cc Fireblade motorcyckle.

PS:SORRY ABOUT my bad english but i think you dont want me writting in my
own language.

I'm not sure it's all that big a success story

My 97 GMC 3500 Crew Cab Dually has 95,000 plus miles on it. I use it
to pull my 12,500 pound RV. It has yet to require any repairs other
than tires and brakes. I just use the 89 as a daily driver now.

I wish Honda would put my CBR1100XX engine in a PWC!

Without even knowing what Honda would produce, I there's at least a 80%
chance I would put my name on the first order list.

T,
Which brings up the question, Why hasn't SD been putting 3 clyinder two
strokes into their watercraft ?
I believe it is because SD realizes that they should spend their R&D dollars
on a 4 stroke motor, and beat the competition to the table with it.
I may be wrong............. Naw !

LOL !
