I was just checking out the specs of the big sport names this year
(Seadoo XP, GSX ; Kaw 1100ZXI; Yamaha GP1200, etc.)
and decided to look at the power to weight ratios.
I understand that hull design is important, but for the moment
I just looked at power to weight.

Anyway, here goes:

Seadoo XP : 4.77 lbs per hp.
Seado GSX : 4.55 lbs per hp
GSX Ltd : 4.02 lbs per hp
Yamaha GP1200: 3.88 lbs per hp
Kaw 1100ZXi: 4.86 lbs per hp

And last:

Polaris SLX Pro 785: 3.69 lbs per hp

Now I understand the Polaris also has a high performance
hull, shouldn't this make it just about the top?

Will be very interesting. I have seen inside the motor and promptly
ordered one.

I just got my SLX 785 Pro and my friend got a SL 1050. I hate to say it
but they blow away every Sea-Doo we went up against by over 5 mph. Even
when we rode 2-up the Sea-Doo XP didn't have a chance. Looks like Polaris
has a winning line up this summer. Each machine has run flawlessly and
radar from 63-66 mph. Sea-Doo owners its time to sell and go Polaris.

Your Polaris SLX Pro 785 is not going 63-66MPh. Next time use a radar
gun and not the speedo. The speedo is very inaccurate.

Joe, shut the fuck up. Nobody's going to trade their Sea-Doo for a
Polardog. There's a helluva lot more to a PWC than top speed. Grow up.

I heard recently that the Polaris 785 Pro just broke some kind of slalom
course record. Can anybody fill us in on the particulars; what, when etc.

Thanks,

Hey Billy, WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE. I'm sure there are kids reading this stuff, me
being one of them and am COMPLETELY offended with your foul language. I think
you need to grow up, people are trading their SD for Polaris, I bet I could
find one person who's trading their SD for a Polaris which would prove you
wrong. Although I agree that there is more to a PWC than top speed.
