FOLLMER "NUMERO UNO" IN 2002

California City, CA - Sunday, October 20, 2002 -- A dynamic
Off-Shore/Endurance season that started in early February 2002, came
to a conclusion after nine hard-fought events that included Gran Prix,
Long Course and Team Endurance, this weekend at the Lake Perris Team
Endurance "300" -- the World's longest continuous PWC race; with the
crowning of the NUMBER ONE PLATE for 2003. That honor belongs to Mike
Follmer (Yamaha) who this year swapped positions with the runner-up,
Tracy Malan (Kawasaki). Malan won last year's number one plate by just
four points over Follmer. However, Follmer focoused, maintained,
fought and charged hard all season long with Malan, Dobson and others,
and this year wound up winning the coveted number one plate over Malan
by just seven points.

The Team 300 race drew an excellent field of contenders for the
overall and class championships. The team of Matt Legerski and Rodney
Clemens (Yamaha - R.P.M.) picked up the Absolute Overall at the race
by posting 96 laps and setting a new record for the longest distance
ever covered during a 6-hour period; 345.6 miles! As a result the team
will have the IJSBA's #1 plate for all team endurance races next year.
Tracy Malan and Johnny Custom (Kawasaki) finished second overall with
92 laps. Sixteen seconds back was the team of Mike Follmer and Greg
Saugstad. Even though Follmer finished one spot behind Malan, that was
enough to clinch his #1 title for the season.

The "Top 50" overall finishers listed below will use their
corresponding earned numbers during the 2003 All-Around
Off-Shore/Endurance season. Congratulations to everyone who
participated in the nine-month-long Series.
