I'm new to rec.sport.jetski, but wanted to warn other people about my friend's
experience with Glenn Perry @ Perry Performance Group. One of his two Sea Doo's
needed a shaft seal replaced. He was quoted 2 hours of labor and the cost of
the seal, approximately $200.00. Glenn Perry charged him over $600!!!! Perry
claimed the carbs needed rebuilding and he supposedly repaired an exhaust leak,
and then charged to reposition the waterbox, but the engines were running
perfectly before the PWC's were delivered to Perry's shop. Matter of fact, the
entire engine had been replaced by Sea Doo recently and only had 3 hours on it.
He even charged for new plugs for both units... and the plugs had been replaced
by the owner the day before they were delivered to Perry!

When the owner went to his shop and questioned the invoice, Perry started
screaming at him, cursing at him and told him to get the hell out of his shop.
The guy left, but let him know he would inform others. Then Perry ran across
the parking lot and body slammed the guy to the ground, doing damage to the
guys car in the process. Then he jumped on top of him and started punching him.
Well, 3 of Perry's employee's pulled him off the customer so the guy could get
away. The police got involved after that.

Upon researching Google, I saw that some other people have been ripped-off by
this guy. So... Beware of Glenn Perry @ Perry Performance
Group!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say that is the funniest crock of shit that I have ever heard. Now
when he body slammed him did he do it the proper way by grabbing your friend
by the throat first then dropping him down on the ground or did he hook his
arm underneath your friends and body slam him that way?

Come on now get real.. He body slammed him because the customer was going
to tell everyone else. Baa haa haa haa haa.. Well if it did happen then
good your friend deserved it.

Check out Sea-Doo>net's site for the real deal on what happened - this
chick - if that's what it is - is SO full of sheeeet it's not even
funny.

Glen Perry and PPG are alright in my book, and I've done a ton of
business with them, NEVER a problem.

What a load of shit!!!! Anyone who would believe this is probably just
as stupid as you. I have done loads of business with Glen Perry @PPG
and the customer service and quality of work is top notch. One of the
best shops in the country IMO. Now, go Back to your rock.......TROLL.

This is the biggest load of shit I have ever heard. If you got your ass
wipped, you must have done something to deserve it. Next time before you go
spewing your mouth somewhere make sure it even concers you because from what
we have been told this didn't!

It's easy to tell that this is a lie:

It would take more than three employees to pull Glen off of someone (kicking
the ass of someone who certainly must have deserved it).

I find this line pretty laughable too:

"Upon researching Google, I saw that some other people have been ripped-off
by this guy."

Yeah.... right.. sure.

Giz,

Correct as always. A quick search of Perry Performance Group brings up
nothing negative. Another search of 'beware Perry Performance Group'
brings up NOTHING.

If this person was BiG enough to post this crap, why have they gone
silent? Show PROOF....not ignorance and empty lies....

To those who may be interested:
From World Finals 1999 through World Finals 2001, I used Perry Performance
Group technology, exclusively, in all of my equipment. I can comfortably offer
the suggestion to ignore a warning to not use his services.
Because I support the practice of reporting shops that a customer feels has
treated them inequitably and because I support pursuing what is owed to someone
in a consumer agreement, I will not comment on the credibility of the original
poster of this information.
Here is a brief description of my experience with Perry Performance Group:
Glen built my first boat for World Finals 1999, the engine performed 120% of
what was promised to me. The work was clean, professional, and arrived on time
as promised.
I contracted with PPG to build my boats for the 2000 National Tour. Again, the
boats performed well above the levels promised. The work was solid,
professional, and was easily the best 951 service I had received. I think that
I would not have won the 2000 tour were I not on a PPG built Sea-Doo.
PPG, with Glen's absence, built my boats for the 2000 World Finals, things did
not work out quite as planned but, upon Glen's return he promised that things
would be set properly. We tried again for Jet Stream Fest, 2001 and again
things did not work out as we planned. Glen continued to promise things would
be made right. These sorts of things tend to happen when several thousand
dollar jobs are initiated, sometimes spontaneously, under strict timelines.
Statistically speaking, the times when PPG services did not go as planned for
me are an aberrancy.
For those who don't know, I live in California and PPG is in Florida. Glen and
I have never met face-to-face. Despite this inconvenience, Glen and PPG have
managed to give me quality professional service and have managed to give great
after-purchase support for the services rendered. Also, for those who don't
know, I can be somewhat frustrating at times- I demand that even the smallest
thing promised is provided and I pursue a $5 debt to with the same conviction
as I would a $5,000 debt. If there is a PPG customer that can cause a viscous
argument with Glen, it is I. The truth be told, Glen and I have had some
heated exchanges which, I am sure, left both of us feeling that we had
acquiesced totally to the other.
Glen's commitment to giving me the best quality customer services has
survived and sustained through all the times it has been tested with me.
At World Finals, of this year, PPG prepared my engine for my XPL. Once again,
I received services that were heads and tails above what was promised. Once
again, the standard was set for the quality of XPL services I have received.
Glen did not charge me for this premium engine work because he wanted to make
feel like any possible impropriety in the World Finals 2000 and JSF 2001
transactions had been rectified. I am 100% satisfied with the overall level of
services I received from Perry Performance Group.
I hope people will take this testimonial for what it is: I am trying to paint
an honest picture of a comprehensive history of my dealings with PPG. Thus,
even if the complaining poster is being truthful in the allegations, I can feel
confident that were I to endorse using PPG services that I would be acting
favorably to those who accepted the endorsement.
With that said, I do endorse doing business with PPG and I add my name to an
apparently large and dedicated list of supporters of the services of Glen
Perry's business.

My favorite was the response from GP. After pointing out how full of
shit the *stepbrother* of the owner was, and how happy the actual owner
of the boat was for finding these problems before going out of the way
on a trip with this ride, GP ends his post with this.
"You shout in my face and tell me to "step outside"? I stepped."
Says enough for me! LOL

Yes, I agree, BEWARE of Glen Perry and PPG. Beware of the fact that
their customer service is awesome. Beware of the fact that the skis
that they build are some bad ass machines. Beware of the fact that
their knowledge concerning watercrafts are second to none. To get a

Okay Scott, you friggin Blowhard. We get your point, but only after
having to read what compares in length to the sequel to War and Peace.
I guess we're all supposed to be inpressed with that title you bought

everyone here: Do any of you really care? Just put your two cents

Actually it was my mother's money- my grandparents were rather impoverished.
Still glad I bought the title, though, the plaque looks much better on my
mantle than stacks of hundred dollar bills or a framed picture of a bank
statement.

While were on the topic, did I mention I have 4 college degrees with 2 more

Today's experience with this shop was crazy. The police had to come to resolve the problem. I take my boat to perry performance group to see what was wrong with it since it is not running right. I get there and a man named Glen sat and talked with me a while. Everything seemed fine. I asked him how much does he think everything will cost. He said he doesn't know but he will call me if the cost exceeds 700$. I never received a call so I call them later in the day. Glen goes on to tell me that he already ordered the parts and my boat will take a couple of days to get fixed because they have to get it mailed in which was fine with me. So I ask him how much and he doesn't want to tell me. I said I need to know so he said in parts alone it will be over 800$(we had a contract stating that he will call me if it exceeds 700$). I ask him to give me a break down on what I'm getting charged with and this guy flips and starts calling me names and said if I want the job done right I will pay or come get my boat that he said he is going to put out in the street because he doesn't need my problem because i'm asking to many questions. I was like sir are you seriously going to put my boat off your property because I want to know how my money is being spent. He said he didn't need my problem so I said Im going to get my boat. I left a $300 deposit with him. When I get there I ask for my refund. He did not do any work on my boat but inspect it. I told him I will pay for the inspection to give me the difference. This guy Glen say no to get out of his f@#$ing shop all of this in front of my wife. That I cannot get my money because I wasted his time. I told him you aren't supposed to treat your clients that way that I have my own business and I will never talk to a customer the way he is talking to me. I went to show him my business card and this guy slaps the card out of my hand. He literally put his hands on me. Then he gets on a bobcat and threatening to drag my boat to the middle of the road because he doesn't want me on his property. I had to call the police. When the police comes he refunds my money and I get my boat and go home with no problem solved and 115$ dollars poorer. Note I have all of this on video just in case they try to lie and says none of this happened. And I have the police case number just in case anyone wants to know the truth. In my honest opinion I believe Glen is on drugs. The reason i say this is because the guy is up and down like a roller coaster. One minute he is nice the next he is exploding on you for no apparent reason. Be careful before you deal with this man Glen.
