Polaris SLT700 Electrical Problems

I have just received a hand me down 1997 Polaris SLT700 but the
Electrical System is not functioning very well.
The Jetski currently has BPR7ES Sparkplugs in it but the Spark is a
very weak one and I cant get the motor to Fire Up. The plugs are new.
Are they the correct plugs?
It turns over well but I have opened the Electrical box up and is
coated in a greasy substance inside.
Also the Reset Button is in the depressed position -> Is this the
normal position?
I am in Perth, Western Australia so does anyone know where I could
source parts and a Workshop Manual for this Jetski?
Any information or information/hints would be greatly appreciated :=}
I now know why it was handed down to me lol
