I have a '95 XP and the battery light is always on. I have taken it to
the shop two times and the first time I get it back on the lake the light
comes back on. The battery is fully charged and I have even tried putting
my other ski's battery in it. So I know it is not the battery.

Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do to correct it?

Thanks,
Bert

Check to see if you have a fuse that's badly corroded or possibly partially
blown (the element may be loose on one end).

check the voltage with a seperate meter. You may be running over
voltage, which won't cause any evident problem until you
find all the waters boiled out of the battery..

When you say "always on", does it come on with the lanyard attached
but the engine not running?

My girlfriend's 95 xp is in the shop right now for the same problem. When you
start it the battery light comes on and stays on for about ten minutes then
goes on and off occasionally thereafter. But we haven't experienced any
problems with the battery or starting.

I have not had this problem with my 96 xp.

Duct tape over the light will clear that right up :-)
