I'm having the worst luck trying to get some help with my GP1200 in
Houston. Can anyone recommend a good PWC mechanic in a city of 3
million people?

The first dealer I took the ski to performed a "prescription before
diagnosis" - which is malpractice in most professions.

The second dealer just flat didn't call me when he said he was going
to - four days in a row.

I'm looking for someone trustworthy, competent, and honest who does
what he says he's going to do. (A tall order these days.)

In the alternative, can anyone recommend a good school or book on PWC
repair? I think I can do a much better job than the two dealers
mentioned above.

Thanks.

Bert,
Yamaha sells service manuals specific for each model it sells. It is
probably one of the best things that they are good at. If you follow
the numbered steps in the manual you can take your engine out of the ski
and apart and put it back in.
