I have a 1995 McCaron (dual) and a 1992 Longrun (dual) trailers. They both
have running lights on the side plus the standard stop lights. I've put
more than five thousand miles on each trailers and never experienced any
problems. These trailers are extremely stable at high speed. I can pull
these trailers behind my 4Runner at 85 MPH on I40 going from California to
Havasu. They ran so smooth that I don't even feel like towing a trailer
behind. I don't think it is necessary to unplug the trailer lights before
backing it to the water. I also backed up the trailers in salt water at
least 10 times each year (ocean rides). All lights are still working
perfectly. How long do these trailer lights last?

The front of the trailer by the side marker lights developed stress cracks and
had to be welded a couple of times until I decided I had to go to Triton for a
"proper" fix, I just wanted nothing to do with another weld, but asked to trade
for a new trailer.
They accepted my request, but not for ffree, the trade came with a discounted
price, but I got a much better trailer.
Obviously they had enough complaints about the original design to do something
about it, and the new trailer came with all points previously a problem
reinforced. I was also informed that there is a reinforcement kit for the older
vintage available if needed.
The only problem I still have with Tritons and truly don't know if it's a
Triton idiosyncrasy or inherent of all aluminum trailers, but this thing
sqweeks like crazy!
Mario
temps are rising!
Well maybe if you would put on some weight and go the the gym you could lift
that big ol' heavy trailer :P Probably didnt help it bashin the 3rd wheel into
my truck huh? :)
