Exactly. Anyone that can kick the shit out of Probert and McSorely could
definitely kick my ass. Also consider that he also hit Curtis Joseph with a
slap shot so f*cking hard in the head that CuJo's helmet came off!

Butt boy or not, a great hockey player. Keep sexual matters on some other
net.

You sound like such a tough guy, Sadik, I would just love to see you walk
up to Wendel Clark and tell him to his face that he is a fag and a flamer.
Of course, you would not dare that, Wendel would beat you silly. Or maybe
he would just feel sorry for you, laugh a little, and not care about wasting
his time on a sad loser like you.

Get a life, wanker.

He'd bend you over and shoot you up the ass with an infected load of
semen, that's why Sadik wouldn't walk up to him and call him a fag.
Arne, why are you defending Wendy? Talk about "laughing a little" ... as
if the guy (cornpoker) gives a flying fuck about you. You don't need to
waste *your* time sitting here defending the guy against Sadik. Wendel
Clark doesn't give a shit about you, or anyone. Let him get on here and
defend himself! He's obviuosly got the time now that he's at home
sucking his lover Toller Cranston's squirrel-dick meanwhile laughing at
all the suckers like you who are reduced to sitting here defending him
while he sits around with a million in the bank. At least a Leafs fan
like Sadik can show a tiny bit of objectivity towards Clark and call him
for what he is instead of everybody else on here who thinks that as soon
as a guy wears the crest they can do no wrong.

You know, in his posts, I have trouble finding even one example of
objectivity. Read them again and learn.

The Dik gives Leafs fans a really bad name.

>... and call him for what he is.....

He's a terrific hockey player with a specific, not-all-that-uncommon sexual
preference.

Now you're putting words into others mouths. In no way did we suggest that a
Leaf's jersey absolves someone. In fact, that has nothing to do with the
discussion.
Besides, he's not doing a wrong.

Leafs fans in TO were calling him Wendy way before any question about his
sexual preference arose.

It was jsut one of those nicknames during the dark eighties (perhaps
chidding him for always being injured) that has turned into an affectionate
term.

I am always interested to know where the Wendel-is-a-fag stuff came from
to begin with. The Toronto Sun, on a number of occasions (2 that I can
remember reading a few years ago) came right out and asked him about his
sexual orientation, to which he denied being gay. The Toller Cranston thing
is also wrong, as Wendel never lived with him...he lived with a friend of
Tollers.

Besides, who cares? I've also heard rumours about Glenn Anderson, Cam
Neely and others. It seems that if they don't have a wife, they are assumed
to be gay...

I don't think that you can talk about a hockey player without putting an
"ie" or "y" at the end of their name. Gilmour will always be Dougy,
Andreychuk is Andy etc. I've been calling Clark either Wendy or Clarkie for
years... it's just one of those hockey things. Burnsy is another one that
I can think of (oh yeah, there's also Hebbsy!).

At any rate, I still don't believe that Clarky is gay to begin with. I think
the rumours started when he started hangin' out with Toller and company, but
that didn't prove anything to anyone.

Obviously the accusations don't bother Wendel too much to begin with, or
else he would make an effort to come out publicly and set the record straight
(no pun intended!) one way or another.

Hey!!

Why don't you try shoving your dick up someone else's ass and leave the
Dik alone. He's just trying to keep rec.sport.hockey honest.

I can't believe that he denied his gayness. Now I have even
less respect for the guy than I did before. Maybe he is just
embarrassed of his sexual activities like all homosexuals should be.
He lived with a friend of toller? That doesn't help his case much.
A cop in Toronto that I know through a cousin of mine said that he saw
Clark making out with another guy in a gay bar. And also, Gilmour's
fiancee, who I know through a high school friend, also said that Clark
is a flamer.

By the way. Anderson is gay and he was married. (what a sick
combo) I've heard nothing about neely though.
What kills me is all you people saying "who cares if he is
gay" but still respond alarmingly to my statement. If you don't care,
then why are you responding?

I posted this brfore and I'll pot it again. A friend that I work with
plays competitive softball in the off-season with some of the leafs.
If you take their word as an authority, then here goes'.
They maintian that Wendel is not a flamer. Plain and simple. Now if
having Him say he's not gay dosen't satisfy you then I suppose this
won't either but I know both of these guys a being honest and I
believe them.

1) Personally, I dont care whether he is or not.

2) This isnt alt.homophobia - this is rec.sport.hockey - last I looked.
Take your gay-bashing statements to there, and keep it out of here.. I
see no purpose for this thread other then to incite flame wars.

Perhaps we respond because we find it difficult to believe that
someone can still be so much of a bigot and proud of it. THAT's what
I find alarming.

So I'm straight. If he's gay, well, he can have it any way he wants it.
That's his business. Maybe you should GET some sadik. ;)

Thank you. I agree that heterosexist, racist, sexist or otherwise ignorant
and hurtful material should be taken elsewhere. This is about hockey. Not about
someone's sexual orientation. Last time I checked, Wendel Clark was a damned
good hockey player, and very well respected around the league. His sexual
orientation doesn't diminish him as a person or a hockey player. And to judge
anyone on that basis is cruel and harmful to that person and to all sportsmen.
Keep your bigotry and hate away from this and all sports. And it's funny that
Pat Burns had Richer traded around the same rumours when he coached Montreal.
So far, Richer has done quite well in New Jersey and no one there has even
mentioned his supposed homosexuality. The fans and press like him because he
works hard and is a solid player who possesses great leadership qualities.
Sounds more like Pat Burns has a conflict of egos, than anything else. Keep
hurtful rumors elsewhere, as well.
