I am told that there is one about an hour north of here. At the very least, if
it isn't an international-sized rink, its significantly larger than the normal
size.
: There is a new ice facility in Oakland, CA called the
: Oakland Ice Center. It has 2 rinks, 1 is NHL size (200' x 85')
: and the other is Olympic (European) size (200' x 100').
: Man, that Olympic size rink is tiring too. :)
Paramount Ice Arena in Southern California has an Olympic sized
rink, too.
Other competative sized rinks are in Lake Placid and Albany.
hylee
the two three most obvious are at lack placid in new york (1980
olympics), squaw valley in california (1960 olympics) and calgary,
alberta (1988 olympics).
i don't know about the other two, but i have been to the rink at lake
placid. it can be converted to the north american sized rink by adding seats.
there's also one in holmsdell, nj (i think that's the name of the town).

There's really no shortage of them. Just in Minnesota: Mariucci Arena at
the University of Minnesota; St. Cloud State University has two of them
at the National Hockey Center; and there's one in Warroad.

In Montreal, Arena Maurice-Richard was renewed with international size for our indoor speed skaters. By the way, you can also see the little museum dedicated to the Rocket. It is free!
