This is the thread for the 1980 Stanley Cup TV crews, where the
division standings didn't mean a thing. It was a straight league-wide
standing that determined the playoff opponents.

Please alert with errors or omissions. It is appreciated.

Notes:
1st half and 2nd half?! For the first five games of the final, either
Cole or Robson would do pxp for the first period and the first half of
the second period. At the closest stoppage of play near the 10 minute
mark of the second period, Cole or Robson would hand off the call to
Dan Kelly for the duration of the game.

The 1980 Final woud be the first of 29 consecutive Stnaley Cup Finals
that Bob Cole would have a hand in calling for CBC television.

Note: Game 6 of the Final was the first full network telecast of an

There would not be another NHL game on network television for another
10 years (1990 NHL All-Star Game).

The Vancouver-Buffalo game was televised by CBC regionally in British Columbia as usual, as the ACTRA awards show was tape-delayed into prime time on the west coast.
