Just a couple of things to ask and comment on... first, I heard Jim
Sandlak was hurt in Friday's game against Buffalo. Is this true? Any word
on the extent of the injury? I heard about it when I was watching the
blow-out Sat. between the Whalers and Canucks.. didn't mention anything
else about it... I hate Don Whitman(Whitless) as a hockey comentator
on HNIC.. sigh... Also any word on Glenn Healy? When will he be back?
About Eric Lindros... one thing to remember about the whole trade with
Phillly and Quebec... The new Spectrum is being built so what better way
to get people in there but to get the biggest thing coming into hockey today
to bring the people.. you can't tell me that Forsberg and the rest of the
crew that was traded was going to fill skyboxes like Lindros can, so
he will pay for himself.. you can count on it.
Also, I will try to post a summary of the Whalers/Jets game tomorrow
night since I am going (its a neutral sight game here in Saskatoon)...
should be good.. I am looking forward to seeing Selanne and Zhamnov...
as well as Domi... :-) I figure that I should get some entertainment
for a night of having to put up with a terrible Hartford team...
Caio all...

Well, the deal is that he has a "corneal abrasion" (fancy term for a scratched
eye) which he got by being hit in the face by the stick of a Buffalo
defenceman. He could probably have played Saturday, but why risk it against
a team as lowly as Hartford? He may play on Tuesday.

Yeah, some of those HNIC commentators can be really irritating, especially when
they cover, say, a Canucks game, where they are not AT ALL familiar with
the team because we play west of Ontario and not in Alberta. What I usually
do is just mute the tv, and watch the game while having on the local radio
broadcast of the game for the play-by-play.
Oh, you poor baby...I'm crying for you, really I am.
